Third Person POV

"N-nathanael!" Marinette stumbled on her words, frantically pushing back Chat's flailing arms. "Fancy meeting you here!"

"Likewise," Nathanael replied, the end of his lips tugged as it forms a ghostly smirk across his facial features. Chat furiously looked at Marinette's reaction almost immediately, acting like an overprotective, fussy dad. Even with makeup on, he could definitely tell she was blushing; the tips of her ears were slightly tinted pink, which irked him beyond control. Somehow, he thought he was the only one who could make Marinette feel that way, but not anymore. His eye twitched, glaring at Nathanael and Marinette repeatedly, a permanent scowl was implanted on his face and was obliviously distinguishable. "Anyway, I was here to check on you because I thought that you-"

Chat foreigned a gasp as he covered his mouth with his mouth in a sarcastic manner, then said slightly rudely, "To check on her? How very odd, because last time I check was YOU CHECKED AND YOU WERE E -"

Marinette whipped her head back to face Chat and forced a smile. Anxious, Chat stitched his lips together as it kept silent, petrified of Marinette's next move. "Why don't you go back inside and I'll do the talking, yeah?" she widened her smile. Chat flattened his cat ears and nodded obidiently, not taking a second to break the eye contact. Chat Noir walked in the house as the door closed aftr doing so. He decided to stay and listen to their conversation inside her house."Sorry, about that..."

"It's alright," Nathaneal accept her apology and Marinette flashed him one goofy grin. Nathanael couldn't help but chuckle, followed by Marinette's chuckle. "I thought you were sick, but I guess you're not. So, what happened?"

"Mentally drained. Just minor teenage depression every now and then, so I kind of took my time to take a break," Marinette sighed heavily, Nathanael soften his expression.

"Been there, done that."

Chat stiffened inside, knowing what he implied to; as the Evilustrator. He liked Marinette, but because of the situation, his emotions got the better of him and in the end got possessed by a creation intended to destory; the akuma.

"Really?"

Nathanael nodded. "I'm not quite over it, though." Nathanael took out a rose from his pocket and sincerely handed in to Marinette, who stood in awe as she was delighted. She thanked him for the very thoughtful gift and he smiled in return.

Chat practically bared his teeth and snarled, leaning on the door as he quitely listened to the conversation. He desperately wanted to know what he gave to Marinette, and whatever it was, he wants to crush it and demolish it. Chat knows that he will mark Nathanael as a rival, but it seems like the rival has already made a move more effieciently than he did.

Back to the sentence, Marinette squinted her eyes, tapping her chin; she was trying to understand what he meant by 'I'm not quite over it, though.' "I'm sorry, but I can't really decipher the meaning of that sentence..." Nathanael told her it was no problem, but he striked another question which made Chat groan. He wanted him to go, and as fast as possible; Nathanael's prescence was always making Chat feel peevish.

"Anyway, how did you even get Chat Noir in your house?" he asked, with astonishment displayed on his face, "and... what happened to your face?" Laughing almost hysterically, he wiped a tear that escaped his eye while Marinette just turned beet red in embarrassment.

"Well, he decided to come by and we played truth or dare, and my dare was to- Oh yeah!"

Chat abruptly stood up, about to open the door out any minute and snatch Marinette in. His dare backfired; he didn't want Marinette close with Nathanael in any circumstance, even if he was the only person on Earth that could save Marinette.

Nathanael raised an eyebrow, questioning her.

"Would you like to go on a—"

Chat bursted the door open and tangled his arms around Marinette and pulled her back into the house, closing the door as he did. Quite painfully, Marinette dropped on the floor and so did Chat, causing a loud 'bang,' creating echoes through her empty house. Chat felt relieved as he heard Nathanael saying goodbye, in a slightly awkward manner; he knew it was his cue to part ways.  Chat knew it, and unconciously smirked; if a man knows a girl is taken, he should just back off. Unconciously, Chat continued grinned idiotically while Marinette stood up, glaring back at him. "Heh, he's gone for good now."

"Why are you happy about that? I was about to do the dare." Without noticing, she lets inhales a sharp breath and exhaled it quite heavily, as if it were supposed to be exaggerated.

"Well, s'pose it's last minute cancel."

Marinette hissed, gazing around to find something in particular. She got tackled down for nothing, and it was just because the dare was cancelled, or that was what she thought it was. Along with that, the rose flew off somewhere. She put her hands on her hips, slowly yet carefully observing and scanning her surroundings. "Okay, where did it go?" she started to rummage to search through her nearby belongings agitatedly. It was clear that she was quite annoyed.

"Pft, you mean that thing Nathanael gave you?"

"Hey! It's very nice of him, unlike you," she spat, wiping of the make up with a cloth, she found randomly on the table, that was slowly smearing off due to the dribbling sweat running down from her forehead. "And it was a rose. He gave me a rose. It's red, like Ladybug," she smirked.

"Oh. There might be a chance I'm sitting on it right now," he grinned.

"What."

Chat Noir stood up, revealing a smooshed rose. "Hah, whoops," Chat Noir apologized jokingly, snickering while facing Marinette. Instead Marinette smiled as her eye twitched. "Uh- Marinette?"

She headed to the squished rose, what a pain though; it was a beautiful rose. She sighed,"Oh shut up Chat, it's because of you that ruined this present."

"But you never liked roses, so, who cares?" he shruggs, showing no guilt nor shame whatsoever, instead satisfactory got the best of him. He simply looked at the rose apathetically, smirkng a bit. Jealousy obviously is terminating over his soul.

"I liked it because he gave it to me."

'What?'
