I made my way to my room where I set my script on my desk to finish later before I grabbed my jacket, keys, phone, wallet, and earbuds before I shoved them in my pocket. I was about to walk out the door before my father's request repeated itself in my head. I backtracked until I was in front of a familiar door. I lightly knocked on it in order to avoid waking the two sleeping demons that we down the hall.

"Azalea?" I called after I didn't get a response.

"Hold on," I heard her softly say. "What?" she called out louder.

"Ooh, Azzy, did you sneak a boy in there? Do I need to tell-"

The door opened, revealing an annoyed Azzy. "What do you want, Addison?"

Ignoring her, I stood on my tip-toes and looked over her, scanning her room for any "guests". "Addison what are you-"

"Hello? Secret boy-toy, where are you?" I asked in a sing-song voice as I slid past her into her room, looking behind her curtains for a dramatic flair.

"Addison! Fermare! (stop) Gosh, you're so fastidioso (annoying)."

"Thanks, sis, love you too," I said as I plopped down onto her bed where her laptop was, and though it was opened to a shopping website, the little green light next to the camera told me everything I needed to know. We locked eyes, and I could see the pieces fall into place as she realized that I knew what was going on. All at once, she lunged at me while I grabbed her computer and opened up her Skype app, revealing Josh, shirtless as he sat in front of his screen, trying to holding laughter as he witnessed our sibling bickering.

"Hi, Josh!" I said in a high pitched voice as Azalea tried to wrestle the computer out of her hands, but I simply stood up, too tall for her to reach it.

"Addison, I swear if you break my computer my foot will be so far up your culo (butt) that you'll-"

"Oh, Azzy, that's no way to speak in front of-"

I was interrupted by her punching me in my lower ribs, causing me to hunch over in pain as she easily grabbed the computer and shoved me in the direction of her door. I heard Josh laughing. "Josh, man, run while you can. My sister's a...nightmare," I wheezed out as I let her push me all the way out of her room. "You play dirty, you know my ribs are messed up-"

"What do you want, Addison?" she asked, annoyance in her voice and anger in her eyes.

I sobered up and hooked my arm around her neck before I buried my fist into her curled hair. "Ah, relax, I was just messing with you. It's my job as your brother to embarrass you at least a little bit."

"Yeah, yeah," she said as she pulled free, amusement replacing some of the annoyance. "Is that all you came for because if so, I'm busy."

"I can see," I said as I wriggled my eyebrows, causing her to flip me off before she turned to duck back into her room. "Wait, Azzy, for real, Papa wants you to check your text messages. Why? I don't know. There, now he can't say that I didn't tell you, because I definitely just did."

"Yeah, yeah, I will, bye," she said before she closed the door in my face. I grinned to myself.

I was so annoying. And I had absolutely no shame.

I made my way out of the apartment and to the subway. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday afternoon, but I didn't complain. I sent Ky a text telling her that I was on my way to which she instantly responded. Just like Padre had said, I felt electricity move through me, crackling in my veins. I was beyond excited to miss her and though I'd seen her a mere two days ago, it felt like I hadn't seen her in years. I was just excited to hold her and hear her laugh.

The journey to her house was short and as soon as I rang the doorbell, she was in my arms. "Hey, babe," I chuckled as she held me tighter.

"Hey," she said with a slight chuckle into my chest. Her voice was pure music to my ears, enough to make even the most hateful person crack a smile. As if to cater to my every want, she was wearing one of my sweatshirts, which was far too big for her, along with some shorts that barely came a quarter way down her thighs, barely past her butt. I instantly knew that her dad still wasn't home because I wouldn't be allowed within a mile of the house until she changed if he were. Her hair hung freely down her shoulders and was still wet, presumably from her shower.

"Come, come, my mom's making quesadillas, just the way you like them," she said as she pulled away then laced her hand with mine and pulled me into her house. As soon as I stepped past the threshold, the heavenly aroma filled my nose. I could hear the sizzling of the chicken and practically taste the buttery tortilla that had just enough crunch but not enough to be considered crunchy.

"Mom, Addi's here."

Mrs. Klein looked at me and a smile spread across her face. "Addison, honey, how are you?"

"Good," I said as I looked around at the various things throughout the kitchen. "Looks like you've got your hands full Mrs. K, would you like some help?"

She instantly shook her head. "Nah, I enjoy the work. Besides, you're here for Kyra, not me, so go on. But just make sure that you remember-"

"-the rules. Yeah, ma, we still remember," Kyra said with a chuckle before she started dragging me upstairs toward her room. It looked the same more or less, the only major thing that had changed was her aesthetics board. Me, her, and Tyler had talked about the idea for the short film and now she was pulling color schemes and aesthetics from different forms of media in order to get an idea for how she wanted to capture it. I would never be able to do what those film and photography kids do.

Ever.

I kicked off my shoes at the end of her bed like I usually did before I let her pull me down onto the bed next to her.

"I found a show that I think you'll like. I've only watched the first episode, though. We'll have to test out the rest together," she said as I made myself comfortable on her soft bed. She wasted no time climbing on top of me and wrapping her body around me.

"Ky, how are you going to see the TV like that?" I asked, slightly amused as I looked down at her.

"I didn't say we had to watch it now. We're still making up for lost time." She leaned in closer. "And we have a lot of time to make up for."

"Do we now?"

She hummed in response before she leaned in and kissed me. Once more, I felt everything that Padre mentioned. Everything was lining up. It felt like we were made for each other. Like my chest was made to be pressed against hers. Like my hands were made to cup her butt. Like her palms were made to gently cup my cheeks.

It all felt natural.

After a few minutes, she pulled away. We were both breathless and grinning at each other like idiots. She was absolutely perfect. Why had I ever doubted her before?

She climbed off of me and instead, rested only her head on my chest as she grabbed the remote and started looking for the show she'd been telling me about as if she hadn't turned me on as much as she had. This girl was insane.

As the show started, I slid my hand under her sweatshirt and rested it on her bare belly, just the way she liked it. She cuddled deeper into me, sending warmth and tingles throughout my body. I instantly felt bad for ever thinking that Tyler could come anywhere near her.

So I made a promise to myself that I would stop everything relating to Tyler, and after this collab project, we wouldn't be more than teammates. No more "movie dates" or thinking about him when my house got too quiet, or thinking about him at all.

I had to stop, not only for my sake but for the sake of the beautiful girl in my arms as well.

Also, the next chapter is up on Inkitt for early access, so if you want to read the next chapter now FOR FREE, click the Inkitt link in my bio! Do you all think Addi is going to step away from Tyler or not? Comment what you think is going to happen and what you want to see, because I just might work it into the story :)

As always, stay safe and healthy, even though it might be boring. Trust me, I get it, so I pass the time by working out and taking walks around my neighborhood (while maintaining a good distance). The more we all do our part by staying in unless we absolutely have to go out, the more of a handle we can hopefully get on this virus. If you have started online school, how is it? For me, it's fine, I get all my work done in a timely fashion and our teachers aren't giving us a lot, so yeah. Let me know how you're doing in the comments.

Love y'all- Jordan
