All in all you had to say, sitting in a car for hours when you have the ability to look outside the window was a lot better than sitting and staring at a dashboard for hours, even if you were now sitting uncomfortably on a lap because you were too awkward to relax.

But then again, only about an hour had passed since Jotaro dragged you out from your little self-destructive hovel, so all your talk of 'hours' was pretty useless.

The sun was starting to go down when Mr. Joestar took a sudden turn, it having lowered to the horizon in such a way that it now glared directly glared into your eyes.

Immediately squinting your eyes, you groaned softly as you held up your hand to shade your face, looking at the ceiling of the car in hopes that it had one of those sun-visors. Thankfully it did and you pulled it down, seeing Mr. Joestar doing the same thing next to you. Leaning sideways a little so you could look back at Jotaro, you started adjusting the visor so that he could benefit from it as well – even if he did already have his hat tilted down for the same effect. Once you were happy with how it was positioned, you moved to look forward again, evening out your weight normally on the teen's lap instead of leaning on the one leg like you had been momentarily doing.

"Let's find a town to stop for tonight. I don't feel comfortable driving around in the dark when it is hard to make out our surroundings. It'll make it even harder to spot or anticipate an attack, should it come." Mr. Joestar spoke up and you looked at him, nodding while Jotaro briefly hummed and the others made noises of agreement from the back as well.

Now that the end of the hours long car ride was in sight, you couldn't stop yourself from taking in a deep breath and letting it out all at once. When you inhaled so deeply however, your stomach logically expanded and it served to make you press against the arm Jotaro still had wrapped around your waist. Shit, you had actually forgotten that was there... As if to emphasize your sudden recollection of the appendage, Jotaro tightened his hold on you and moved you just a little bit to the right, getting you to sit more comfortably for himself.

"Sorry if I'm heavy." You quickly spoke and heard Jotaro click his tongue behind you.

"Shut up."

You thought that was that, but someone in the back clearly had a different idea.

"Non, non, non! Mon ami, in these moments you have to reassure the lady that she is not heavy at all!" Polnareff almost immediately piped up, making you wonder if he had been listening in or watching you and Jotaro. Said delinquent only scoffed however.

"She's not a child, she's practically fully grown, of course she's gonna be heavy." You didn't see but Jotaro rolled his eyes, refusing to turn around and face Polnareff who let out an offended gasp in your stead. You personally weren't too bothered by Jotaro's statement cause frankly, he was right, but Polnareff seemed to be absolutely appalled.

"Mon Dieu, Jotaro... With talk like that you will never get the girls."

"Good." He grumbled and you couldn't stop yourself from giggling a bit, knowing he was thinking about his fanclub at school. In return, Jotaro pinched your side, making you jerk to your right in an attempt to get away, smacking at his hand simultaneously to try and get him to stop which only earned you a light slap on the back of your head before he adjusted you to sit correctly again while you rubbed your head and chuckled lightly.

Polnareff seemed to still be hung up on Jotaro's statement however and opened his mouth again, much to everyone's chagrin. "But still, Jotaro, how can you say that?"

"If she's heavy, she's heavy. I'm not gonna lie she isn't." Jotaro spoke, a little annoyed. And, judging from his tone and silence that followed, it was the final word on the discussion. "Doable though..." He then quietly muttered when the others started up a conversation again, only really audible for you as he used the arm not around your waist to pull down his hat and looked to the side out of the window. You weren't sure if you were supposed to hear that.

Parked in the parking lot of the hotel, you opened the door of the car, pushing it further open with your foot before gripping the top of it and the top of the car itself so that you could pull yourself out, trying your best to not literally push off of Jotaro and use him as even more of a chair than you had already done today.

"Y/N!! How about you and me room, huh?!" Polnareff practically yelled out as he hopped out of the car, clearly having more than enough energy to spare after sitting for so long. He rounded the car in what seemed about 0.3 seconds, a happy grin on his face as he slung an excited arm around your shoulder and pulled you to the side a little, dragging you away from the door opening you had stepped out of a second earlier. "What do you say?"

"Uhh, sure?" You hesitantly spoke out, a confused smile on your face while you sent a confused look to Jotaro who was currently stepping out of the car, seemingly not noticing or ignoring you and the Frenchman.

"Hm, you lack a bit of enthusiasm but we can work on that." Polnareff contemplated before shrugging. "Allez!"

"Alright, four rooms please." Mr. Joestar spoke, holding up four fingers as he spoke but you stepped up.

"Uh, three rooms should be fine, Mr. Joestar, I don't want to waste money when we don't have to." You said, feeling a bit nervous to have to say this right in front of the hotel clerk instead of having discussed it before hand.

"Y/N, you are a lady, I really couldn't." The older man protested almost immediately and you huffed a bit quietly to yourself.

"I really don't mind sharing a room with one of you and Polnareff said he was fine with it as well, earlier."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

Joseph looked at you for a second longer before nodding and turning back to the clerk. "Scratch that, three rooms. All on the same floor if we can."

The rooms were paid for and the clerk put three keys on the counter. "Here you are, sir."

"Thank you, I-" Mr. Joestar was cut off by a sudden exclamation from you.

"Oh, okay!" You spoke in confused shock as Polnareff had shot forward and grabbed one of the keys before whisking you away with him towards the room you two were gonna share.

"Be back here in twenty minutes so we can go find a restaurant to eat!" Mr. Joestar attempted to yell after the two of you but Polnareff seemed too far gone in his excitement to hear. Why was he excited? You had no idea. So, just to let Mr. Joestar know you heard, you turned around and stuck up your hand to the rapidly diminishing group, trusting that Polnareff would drag you along in such a way that you at least wouldn't stumble when you did that.

Surprise, surprise, you absolutely did stumble and all the other Crusaders saw a tiny you at the end of the hallway, eating shit as you fell face first onto the carpet, your legs keeling over yourself before falling back down while Polnareff got dragged down on top of you – having forgotten that letting go of your wrist to save himself was an option.

Surprisingly enough, rooming with Polnareff was better than you expected. The man had given you choice of bed, even though you immediately told him he could choose, leaving you going in a brief back and forth of offering the other to choose whatever bed they wanted. Polnareff because he was being chivalrous, you because you had an issue with making decisions and didn't want to choose the bed Polnareff secretly would have wanted.

In the end you had just shouted "Left!" and thrown your bag at the bed closest to the window.

During the night you didn't really notice he was there. You thought he might have been a loud snorer but he was actually quite reserved. He did talk French in his sleep though; just a garbled mumble every now and then while you were laying awake staring at the ceiling.

Thanks to falling asleep quite late however, this meant that now that it was morning, you were tired, and you didn't want to get out of bed.

"Y/N? Come on Cherie, it's time to get up." Polnareff cooed and you groaned, slinging the blanket over your head and snuggling even deeper into the warmth.

"I'll get up in a bit, you can do your morning... stuffs first... andi'lljoinlatr." The last bit of your sentence got completely garbled as you practically already fell asleep again.

"I've already done so, it is time to get up and eat breakfast, come on." All he got in reaction was a small little groan and Polnareff tutted disappointedly. "You want to do it the hard way? Alright."

If your head had been above the blanket, you would have seen the smirk that the Frenchman sported. Instead, you were curled up under your little hovel, only for your blanket to suddenly be ripped away from you. You yelped a little bit at the sudden burst of light, only to full on yelp, when your ankle was suddenly grabbed.

"No, no, no, Polnareff, wait!!" You called out to him, suddenly very awake, but he just laughed boisterously as he started tugging you off of the bed. "I'll get up! No, no, wait! PLEASE!!" You called out, desperately clinging onto the blanket, the mattress, your pillow, anything to keep you from being dragged off of your bed and onto the hotel floor. "NO!"

Right on the clock, the door was burst in, revealing Kakyoin and Jotaro, Stands at the ready and determined looks on their faces. Their eyes scanned the room, landing on you and Polnareff, who were frozen in shock upon their entrance, the four of you just staring at each other.

The two teens just so happened to have been in the hall when they walked by your and Polnareff's door, hearing the ruckus. They burst in, trying to see what the hell was going on because hey, they heard you scream and that could mean one of two things, neither of them good, in the boys' eyes.

It was silent for a few seconds longer, until Polnareff suddenly smirked evilly. "She won't leave the bed. Help me get her out."

"NO I'M UP!"

Grumbling a little bit to yourself, you opened the hotel door and stepped out into the hallway, only:

"Gah!"

You jumped back in fright and slammed your back into the door that you just closed, not having expected the large form of Jotaro to be casually leaning against the wall right next to the door.

"Yare yare, don't be so loud." Jotaro sighed before pushing off of the wall and stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Let's go."

Blinking rapidly a few times, you snapped out of your surprised state. "Yeah, uh, hang on." You muttered as you turned around and locked the hotel room door before turning back to Jotaro who was surprisingly still waiting, you had expected him to already be halfway down the corridor. "Okay." You spoke with a nod, indicating you were done as you hurriedly walked up to get up next to the tall teen as he started walking, going to breakfast together.

For some reason he had waited for you while you got dressed alone in your room. Why would he do that? It was because of possible attacks, right? Right.

"Avdol's driving today." Mr. Joestar remarked and no protests came. "Jotaro, you and Y/N take the front seat again, Polnareff, Kakyoin and I will take the back."

Just shrugging, you motioned for Jotaro to get inside. Since you laid awake for a bit last night, you got some time to think and right now, you had just accepted that you were the smallest and lightest of the group and would thus always get stuffed wherever was the most optimal to make everyone fit in whatever means of transportation was arranged.

Everyone started filing in and with every one of these men stepping inside, the car shook, dipping at the side where the weight was put before they sat down. Walking up to the car, you reached Jotaro when Kakyoin was climbing into the car.

"You're not sitting on the floor again." The delinquent immediately said as you looked into the car, to which you chuckled softly.

"I wasn't planning to."

Jotaro hummed a bit skeptically before suddenly extending his arm for you.

It took you by surprise a bit but you placed your hand in his nonetheless, being allowed to use it to lean on as you gingerly got inside and onto his lap once more, putting your right leg on the lip of the car while you lifted and swung your left leg over Jotaro's, the man assisting you a bit at the end as he pulled you a little further in and placed you down.

"Annoy me and I throw you out of the car, got it?" He matter-of-factedly said while you brought your right leg into the car as well.

"Uh, crystal clear." You swallowed a bit nervously, giving an awkward thumbs up and a smile while Jotaro pulled the door closed with an eyeroll.

"Good grief."

Avdol's driving was the most peaceful thing you had ever experienced.

He was calm, collected and whenever he needed to decelerate or accelerate, it was done so subtly you barely noticed.

Unfortunately for you, after a few hours of this, it had the added effect of making your sleep deprived mind take over and even more sleepy.

Slowly, your eyes closed. The rumbling of the car and gentle rocking motion just furthering your tired state until you eventually fell asleep, your head falling back and lolling to the side.

Jotaro flinched slightly when your head landed on his shoulder, unsure of what to do he looked down at you.

Your face was peaceful, your lips slightly parted thanks to how your head was angled backwards to rest on his shoulder, yet your breaths were soft and steady. It was probably the most relaxed Jotaro had ever seen you.

The car suddenly rocked as it drove over some uneven ground and the motions sent your head to the side, causing it to now press into his neck. His posture stiffened even more than it already had, feeling your gentle breaths on his skin. His own breathing turned a little irregular from the feeling and he quickly snapped his shoulder forward, effectively throwing your head off of himself and waking you up.

"W-Wha..?" You sputtered out as you got jostled awake from your sleep, blinking a few times to try and figure out what time period you were in.

"Don't fall asleep." Jotaro's gruff voice said from behind you and you put two and two together as to what happened.

"Right! Sorry!"

Jotaro sighed and turned his head to look outside while you just started picking at your hands that were in your lap.

Oh boy, how many more days of this would you have to endure?
