A/N: So so sorry for the wait, life was really just kind of messy these last few months and I couldn't focus on writing, but I'm back now and I wanna thank everyone that kept up with the story, I appreciate it a lot and I hope you keep enjoying this chapter and the next, because I'm posting two chapters. XOXO
The updating schedule might be a little irregular from now on, so I'm sorry for that too.

MATT'S POV:

Since I started hanging out with Leo, school has becoming a lot more bearable. No offense to Macy or John, obviously they're still my best friends, and I love them very much, but with Leo came Carter, Jackson and Jessie, that even though being very different from us, allowed them to fit in just fine. With them near me, especially Leo, 'Ben the bully'(as Macy likes to call him) went away. Even though, now I have Laurel giving me the evil eye everytime he sees me.

And let's not forget the newest addition to our group: Harry.

I admire Harry in more ways than one and I really like him and his friendship. He's confident, smart, funny and all that, but sometimes I swear that guy does not have a filter and makes some situations more awkward than necessary.

Situations like these.

"...and so I'm all like: do I look like anyone's bitch? Like, how dare he use me as a rebound. Seriously, fuck him. Do I look like a second best option to someone? Hell to the no! And now he has the decency to send me dick pics? And ask for more in return?! Bitch, I ended things, like damn, I have more self respect than that!"

We were currently in the middle of the hallway, and while I don't mind Harry rambling, I don't like the attention it brings. He doesn't seem to mind though, so I guess it's not really my place. Still don't like the spotlight, though.

He keeps talking as we make our way to the cafeteria where everyone else is already waiting for us, but I had to get some things from my locker and Harry volunteered to go with me to rant about his now ex-boyfriend.

When we get to the cafeteria, I see that everyone is indeed already there. And who just happens to be there too? Freaking Laurel. Sitting next to Leo, with a hand on his arm, even though Leo couldn't seem more annoyed. Seriously, she better get her hands off my man!

So, with that thought in my mind I walked up to them with a purpose. Harry seems to notice why I'm mad 'case he's hot on my tail. Another thing I love about Harry, he seems to always know what goes on in mind, and doesn't question it, he simply understands.

Once I reach the table I clear my throat, and everyone's attention shifts to me, waiting to see what my next move is.

"Excuse me, but can you move?" I ask.

Laurel sighs like she has the right to be annoyed and turns to me, "Excuse me but I don't speak 'loser'"

When she turns back around, I tap her shoulder, and she spins around again to me with a role of her eyes,"What?"

I'm getting really tired of her crap, "Listen here honey, if you're gonna act like a smartass, you gotta be smart, otherwise you're just being an ass."

"Well, I was just minding my own business, having lunch with my lover Leo, telling him how much fun I had with him last night."

"Seriously, if ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person on the planet. And if you're trying to annoy me, at least get your facts straight, I know Leo wasn't with you last night, because he spent the whole night face-timing me, so, once again, you're wrong. Now please get up, I wanna eat my lunch in peace."

"Fine, but isn't the last you've seen of me," by now, she's fuming.

"Bitch, we know you have an unhealthy obsession with Leo, but get a clue already, no one cares!"

It's Harry who interrupts. He was already in a bad mood, and Laurel probably isn't helping. She seems to finally get a clue, because she finally leaves.

We all watch her go, in silence, and once she's out of sight, Harry and I sit down, but no one's saying anything, so I look up and see that everyone at our table, except Harry, is looking at me with their mouths wide open.

"What?" I ask.

"Man," Macy interrups. "I love sassy Matt. Welcome back, all powerful Matthew."

I shake my head chuckling, "It's not that big of a deal."

I look at Leo and he doesn't give me time to realise what's happening before he kisses me like there's no tomorrow.

"Ok, seriously guys, usually I'm all in for your cuteness, but seriously, show the littlest bit of PDA and I'll stab you with this fork right in the face!"

Everyone looks at Harry, seeing as he's always bubbly and positive and now he does not look like that at all at the moment.

Harry looks down at his phone and presses his lips together. I have to admit I'm kinda scared for whoever is on the other side, to be honest. I've never seen Harry this mad," I swear to God, I get one more dick pick and someone will loose an eye!"

He doesn't even notice that everyone's attention is on him right now, he's just glaring at his phone while typing away furiously, so I answer in a vague way, trying to explain what's going on with Harry without giving much away, "Ummm, Harry is having some guy problems at the moment."

"Trust me honey, 'guy problems' as you so helpfully put it, is a big understatement. So like, remember that college dude I was, 'dating'? Yes, let's call it that, like, remember how I supposedly ended things with him? Yeah, 'cause he was using me as a rebound! And we weren't that serious but still, bitch, so I put a stop to it. He wasn't all that good, so shame on him, he's the one missing out. And NOW, he keeps sending me these fucking dick pics, that are not appreciated! Here, look!"

He says showing us his phone, while we all turn our heads to the side and screaming, a mixture between 'no' and 'AAHH'!

"Yeah, you're right," Harry says, scrunching his face in disgust. "You're better off without seeing it either w- What the Hell? Are you shitting me another one?"

He's about to do somehting about it when Carter takes the phone away from his hands and starts typing something, while all of us wait for the result.

Once he's done, he silently gives the phone back to Harry and goes back to eating, as if nothing happened. Harry just looks at the phone and reads whatever it is Carter wrote and his eyes widen and once he's done he absolutely beams. If someone saw him right now, no one would have guessed that only two minutes ago he was capable of stabing someone with a plastic fork.

"He unfollowed me! Oh my God!! Thank you Carter!" He throws his arms around Carter and kisses his cheek, multiple times while saying 'thank you' over and over again. Once done with that, he finally allows himself to eat, not noticing the pink cheeks that Carter is now sporting.

Leo turns to me then, "That was hot," when he sees my confused stare, he explains. "All the sass you were giving Laurel. It was hot as fuck."

"Oh," I blush looking down.

"So...do you wanna come have dinner at my place tonight? With my family?"

Well, that's the first time Leo has asked me to come to his house to to have dinner, officialy.

I think about his offer for a while. I could go, today is Friday after all, and Chris has a birthday party and sleepover at a friend's house, so I could go.

"Will your father be there?" I ask. Despite the many times I've been to his house, I've never once met his father. I mean, I've met everyone else and they are all unbelievibly nice, so maybe I'm in luck. Then again, Leo does say he has issues with his dad, and that they fight a lot and can't exactly see eye-to-eye, so maybe he won't be all that accepting of his son's relationship with me. But at least Olivia will be there, and she seems to like me, so one point in our favour, I guess.

"Umm, yeah, I was thinking he could meet you, and, you know, come out officially."

"Well, Chris does have a birthday party today, so I guess that's ok," I answer and I can see the happiness in his eyes along with his giddy smile. "I'll meet you there after dropping Chris off at his friends, is that ok?"

"More than ok."

Leo is about to go in for a kiss when the bell goes off, signaling the end of our lunch period.

"Well, I'll see you lat-" I'm interrupted by Leo's lips on mine. I don't hesitate to kiss him back and after a few minutes we separate, seeing as we actually really do have to go to class.

So, with another peck on the lips and another smile, we're both off to our seperate classes.

I look to the side to see Harry walking next to me.

"I found out the other day I have some classes next to yours, ain't that fun, we could be those people that walk to classes together. Also, the way you talked to Laurel was very attractive, but don't worry hun, as much as I found that attractive and may or may not have given me the beginning of a boner friend, like legit, you and Leo are still my OTP."

I laugh at that, even though I didn't understand most of what he just said, but that's the thing about Harry, you don't need to understand, you just know he has good intentions. Hopefully.

----------------

Class was boring as usual, except for math, seeing as I share that class with Leo and we spent the whole class sending notes to each other, as stupid as it is seeing as we have phones, it was still fun.

Now it's the end of the day and Harry, Carter, Leo and John are standing in front of my locker, all listening to Harry talking his head off, all of them with confused expressions on. All except Carter, who looks kind of pissed off, if you look closely. His hands are closed into fists and his jaw is clenched, but other than that his face looks the same as always:closed-off.

"Hey," I say once I approach them.

"Oh, hey Matty!" greets Harry. "Ok, so I was telling these guys I'm giving dating one more chance and so I agreed to go on a date with this very hot guy I met at Starbucks this afternoon when I skipped. So, he's a little older, he's a freshman in college and he wants to be a lawer. We're meeting tonight at Ren's diner. And don't you call me a whore, I'm looking for my soulmate and who knows? It might be him!"

"Oh, um, good for you I guess..."I answer not really sure what to say.

"I know! Anyway, I gotta go home ad re-dye my hair and get ready for the date. This much perfection takes time. Bye boos!"Harry waves while making his exit. Carter just watches him go, with a kind of sad look in his eyes, and leaving too.

After that, John just gives me back the book I had let him borrow earlier and also makes his leave.

"Let's go?" Leo asks and offers me his hand.

-----------------------

Nervous doesn't begin to explain how I feel right now.

We're currently sitting in the living room chatting, waiting for Leo's dad to arrive for dinner. Thank God for Cat and Liam that are also here for dinner, so maybe it won't  be so bad.

Everyone goes silent when the door opens and very tall man walks in, sharp in a suit, standing tall and proud, "Good night, everyone. Sorry I'm late, I was held back a little at the hospital."

Cat stands up and walks over to the man and gives him a kiss on the cheek, "Hello dad, I'll take your coat."

"Thanks honey," he says. Liam walks up to him and greets him with a hand shake."Liam."

Then, suddenly, Leo pulls me up by the hand and walks over to his father, "Leo, son. How are you?"

"Good. I want you to meet someone, actually. Matt this is my dad, Dad this is Matt, my boyfriend."

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Bryant," I say and shake his hand.

"Oh, nice to meet you, too. You can call me David. You staying for dinner?" He asks. Oh well, that went ok. Good, I guess.

I looked at Leo who also looks surprised and then we both look at Olivia who has a smile on her face and tells us to sit down while she gets the dinner.

Once we're all sitting and eating dinner, David starts asking me questions, which is pretty normal and I was expecting them, like grades and home life. But talking about my dad still hurts, so when he asks about the family, even when I was ready, it still hurt to talk about.

"So, what about you, Matt, do your parents know about your relationship with my son?"

"Um, yes. My father was very ok with it and very supportive. But, umm, unfortunately, he passed away a few months ago and my mom isn't all that supportive and I have a little brother, Chris," at leat I can always talk about Chris with a smile on my face.

"Oh, well if you ever need anything, feel free to ask."

"Oh!" Interrupts Olivia. "You should meet him, Darling, Chris is simply the most adorable thing. He's only six but so cute! You'll love him!"

The dinner went great after that. Except when David started talking about football and scholarships with Leo, and you could clearly see Leo stiffen. After that, dinner was slightly awkward but that subject was ignored  for the remainder of the night.

Leo and I are now laying on his backyard looking at the sky, where a few stars are visible, enjoying each other's company.

"My dad's not a bad guy, you know." Leo interrupts the silence. "On the contrary, I think he's a great father too. I just wish he wouldn't have all these expectations for me, that he'd realize that I'm not happy doing what he wants me to do. He just doesn't get it. He just sees me as a teenager who can't make good choices."

"He'll come around, you'll see," I assure him. "From what I've seen today he looks like a good guy so maybe it's not too late to prove to him that you can make good choices and follow your dreams."

We just kind of gaze into each others eyes for a while, and Leo looks like he wants to say something, but seems to change his mind and kisses me instead. This is a different kind of kiss, though. Much more passionate than the other and with maybe...no, it can't be.

We break apart after a while and decide to go to sleep, seeing as I have to wake relatively early to pick Chris up from his friends birthday party and it's already midnight.
