Hi Guys @MidnightGrl requested this imagine and I thought it was such a good idea and you enjoy it!! Also 100K Omg unreal thank you!!

It had been a month since Henry had given a reaction to your Pixie cut which caused you so much anger to think about, the way he spoke to you, the way he acted, they way he disrespected you.

Due to no longer being part of the gang at Henry's request school had started off as a daily challenge but as the weeks went by a few surprises came by.

Firstly you had started hanging out with the Losers club, it was a shock to everyone. It had started with Beverly she saw you in the toilets you were sad that day as it turned out that even though cutting your hair stopped Greta from pulling at it, it didn't stop the venomous words she spat your way.

She approached you cautiously and as you stared at her face through the mirror she offered a small smile,
"I like your hair."
"Greta got to you too huh? It's nice to not be the only girl with short hair." You replied.

She smiled at you and came to stand beside you as she stared in the mirror dragging her hair through her short locks,
"I know right, it's so much less effort to wash," you laughed and nodded.
"Yeah and it isn't all disgusting and annoying after gym class."

Beverly laughed along with you, it was so weird to have bonded with a girl (hanging out with a gang full of boys had kind of alienated you at school). Beverly sighed and said again,
"Hey I know that something is up with you and Henry-"
"Don't talk to me about that asshole." You cut her off almost but all she did was smile and start again.
"And I was gonna say I know you probably don't wanna talk about it but I wanted to let you know me and the Losers wouldn't mind if you hanged out with us."

You stared at her sceptically, you hadn't exactly been nice to the Losers during your time at school and you thought this act of forgiveness was like a trap to hurt you since you no longer at the protection of the Bowers gang.

"You want me to hang out with you and the Losers? Why? I've not exactly been nice to you guys?"
"It could easily be me in your position and you'd help me out, I know you're not a bad person Y/N. I know what it's like to be at the bottom and with the Losers you're not on your own it's easier." She smiled before continuing, "plus another girl would be nice to have."

You laughed and as she smiled you decided to give it a chance just because Henry decided to make you miserable doesn't mean you had to be if you could help it.

As you sat at the lunch table with the Losers you were shocked at how nice they were being they weren't leaving you out of conversation or making any inside jokes that you didn't understand, they even invited you to their plans they had at the weekend.

Richie was looking at you and you smiled (Beverly had whispered to you that she had a feeling Richie had a slight crush on you, you couldn't help but laugh.)

"How big is Bowers wang?" You choked on your drink while the gang all made faces disgusted at Richie's comment Beverly replied for you,
"Beep, beep Richie."
You analyse the group as Richie stands up for himself as they all laugh light heated and even apologize on his behalf. There light hearted laughter, their jokes and close friendship it was something so Forgein to you, Bowers gang had always been rough, no kind words or close friendships, the whole gang was built on hatred whereas the Losers club was built on something better, Love? Friendship? You didn't know but you liked the feeling of it.

However even with the ripple of conversation you sensed one quiet being at the edge of the other side of the table Ben Hanscom the Loser Henry absolutely terrorised constantly. He kept looking at you every couple of seconds his eyes constant shifting as he hunched his shoulder over like he was trying to be invisible in front of you.

You looked at him and felt a deep pit of guilt erupt in the stomach it made you want to take back every bad thing you had ever done, to say sorry to everyone you had ever hurt by being Henry's girlfriend, however it's not like you could do anything as you sat at the Losers lunch table so you leaned over to Hanscom and whispered,
"I'm sorry about hurting you, Henry can be an ass trust me, I know. And for the record New Kids on the Block are really cool."

He looked up at you and smiled one which you returned warmly,
"Thanks Y/N"
"No problem Ben."

It wasn't nearly enough but it would have to be for now.

And as you continued on with lunch, and went to your next class (one you shared with both Bill and Eddie) you never saw the scowl and hatred that burned in Henry's eyes.

<<<<<< small time skip>>>>>

As you rounded the corner you had a massive smile on your face while the cigarette you were smoking was pressed between your fingers as the late evening sun dried your skin as small droplets of water caught in your hair.

Your day at the Quarry had been one of enjoyment something you hadn't had much of in a while most of the time with Henry and the gang, most of the time you were stuffed into Belch's stuffy car and shot glass bottles with Henry's dad's gun, as you can tell it certainly wasn't the pinnacle of entertainment.

As you walked you closed your eyes basking in the bliss of your day you were content that was until you were sure you had reached your home and you an all too farmiliar voice,
"Y/N?"

Henry got up to meet you but you quickly backed away, you remembered your last interaction angry and violent he had got, he seemed to notice as he didn't walk forward to come closer, however analysed you before speaking.

"Smoking too huh? You know I never liked you doing that"
"And you know I'm not your girl anymore so I can do what I like."

You bring the cigarette to your lips and take a drag and then as you walk by him you blow the smoke into his face before putting the cigarette out as you walk up to your home. Henry walks after you and with an advantage of height he matches your steps in a matter of seconds,
"Smoking, new friends, new haircut, some sort of mid-life crisis you're going through?"

Without even meaning too Henry was already angering you so you spin to him and say,
"Henry if you can here to say something other than insults then hurry and say it?"
"Have somewhere to be?"
You take a breath and say with courage,
"Yes actually, I'm meeting with Richie and Bill then we're meeting the rest of the gang."

"You're seriously friends with those freaks?"
"Those freaks are my friends Henry, and they're much better friends than you or the gang ever were, they care about me, we have a laugh and they aren't scared to hang out with me when they think i look like too much like a boy."
"That's why I came to speak-"

"What are you going to say Henry? Give me more grief about my hair? Well guess what it is just hair! And do you wanna know what's stupid? In this stupid small town people care about the smallest detail, my hair has became one of the biggest talking point in class just because it's shorter. And do you want to know what's worse? My biggest bully isn't Greta, or the people we've bullied and decided to finally have a go because I'm on my own it's my own boyfriend."

As you let out all your frustration Henry stands watching you and once you stop he finally grabs your two hands,
"Y/N" he mutters before leaning in and placing his lips on yours.

Instead of compiling and letting him kiss you, you raise your hand swiftly and slap Henry straight across his cheek which leaves a satisfying sound ringing in the air.

"Ow! What was that for?"
"Just because I'm upset does not mean that you can catch me off like that! Let me remind you Henry you're the one who broke up with me!"

"Y/N that's why I came to see you, I miss you. After I left your house I felt so stupid about arguing over hair Babe, you were right. I just I miss you, I miss spending the hours after school together, I miss stealing my dad's alcohol and finding a place in town to drink it into the night, I miss your E/C eyes and kissing you and if I could take anything back I would take back that day that we broke up. The day I saw you when you walked into school and your shoulders were hunched with your head down it broke me to see what I'd done, to see I'd been the one who broke you. And Babe I can promise you I love you and will never do it again."

With tears in your eyes as the boy who still made your heart race when you saw him in the corridors, or the rare times when he would smile with the gang, the smile that made you smile you asked,
"How do I know you won't? You got angry over something stupid once how do I know you won't do it again?"

He paused a long pause looking directly into your eye trying to muster up enough strength and courage to say the words had rehearsed over and over,
"Because Y/N when I said the things I said and got angry I saw my father in me and I am not my father. I plan to be a better man than he ever was, I won't push away people I love and I love you. Babe I know I haven't proved myself to be a better man than him but I'm trying, and I'll try so much harder because of you."

As you watch Henry you don't see the teen that people in school cower away from, or the boy his dad constantly berates or the leader his friends follow blindly you see a young boy innocent, guilty and for the first time vulnerable. You cup his cheeks before speaking again,
"Henry you are already twice the man your father ever was, you're caring to the people you love, and would do anything for those he loves and put the happiness of other before himself and I'm lucky enough to have see the sweet adorable side of you."

"So Y/N take me back, and I promise you I will be the best man I can be for you and make you the happiest girl in Derry?"

With an offer as tempting as that you take a break thinking carefully over your words before responding,
"Henry I love you and you know that but after our whole argument over hair of all things you have to admit we wouldn't be the same that we were before, I saw a part of you I didn't like and I know how much you're trying and I love you even more for that but we can't rush back into our relationship which already has cracks in it." Henry's face falls and he bites his lip as if to cry which you either side of his cheeks and speak again, "Henry not today but one day." And with that you kiss his forehead.

And with that you stand for a good few minutes basking in the peace and holding each other hands however with those few moments of bliss you have to break it,
"Henry I have to go, I'm still meeting Richie and Bill."

"Babe you don't have to go to the Loser Club, come back to the gang!"
"Henry they're my friends! You can't change that and if you want us to really having a shot at working out you can't continue to do things you do to them, they really are wonderful people." You smile up at him earnestly and as he grips your hand tightly you know he's trying and you can't ask for more than that.

"Babe if it gets you back to being my girl then I'll do whatever it takes even if it means tolerating the Losers club, but if any of the Losers kiss you I swear-"
"Henry!"
"Yeah sorry,"

You give Henry a small peck on the cheek before making your way inside but as you walk away Henry shouts,
"Still don't like the smoking!"
"Shut up Bowers!"
