Annabelles POV

I woke up with a pounding headache. Memories of what happened came flooding back to me. I opened my eyes and fear and panic skyrocketed through me. I was in a room that resembled a jail cell. I'm pretty sure we were underground there were no windows and I could smell sewage like we were by sewer lines. I looked around the room I was in and discovered that I was in there alone. I tried to get up and move but I could only move a few steps because I had chains wrapped around both of my ankles and both of my wrists.

There was a twin mattress on the floor that smelled like blood and piss. A lump formed in my throat as I took in more of the room I was trapped in. The walls were solid stained white tiles well they probably were once white. In between the cracks of the tiles was mold and some of the tiles were an off white. Old dried blood was scattered on the bed, walls, and the floor. This must have been where they kept and tortured their prisoners.

"Let me out of here!" I yelled at the top of my lungs knowing that causing attention to myself was probably a bad idea.

The concrete door to my windowless cell slid open and Lorenzo walked in with two men, one on each side of him.

"Agh darling I hope you are making yourself comfortable." Lorenzo smiled at me sickly. This guy gave me the freaky creeps.

"It's hard to be comfortable when I'm chained up like a dog." I snapped jiggling the chains on my hands and feet letting them rattle.

"I will let either your hands or your feet free. Which do you choose?" He asked me giving me the choice. I looked at him skeptical like it was some kind of test. I thought about it for a second before I decided to go with my hands knowing I could at least try to fight back if need be.

"My hands." I lifted them up and he looked directly into my eyes.

"Don't make me regret this. If I have to put them back on I will put them on so tight there will be indentions from the chains around your wrists." I gulped and nodded my head unable to say anything.

He took a key from his suit pocket and roughly unlocked the chains from around my wrists. When my wrists were free I rubbed them gently trying to ease the ache the chains had caused.

"How long have I been down here?" I asked hoping that he would actually answer me.

"Three days. Nate sure did knock you out good. Plus the drugs we've been giving you have been keeping you under." Lorenzo smirked at me wickedly like he was enjoying every minute of this.

"Drugs? You gave me drugs?" I blubbered in disbelief. He nodded slowly and gave me a stupid look as if I knew what he was talking about.

"Oh relax its not going to kill you, I mean it can if you are given too much but don't worry Annabelle we won't let that happen unless we have to." He warned in a serious tone and I backed away from him as far as my chains would let me.

"Can I have a blanket? It's cold and dirty down here." I asked hopeful.

"Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I've already freed your hands, that's enough for now. Get some rest dinner will be served soon." He said and left me alone again and I cringingly sat down on the disgusting mattress. Tears fell uncontrollably down my face. Three days they had kept me down here and drugged up. That explains the pounding headache and why I've been asleep for three days straight.

I worried about Vincent, if he even survived being shot. Surely if he did he would have came for me by now right? My heart shattered inside of my chest thinking about him being dead images of him lying on the floor with blood pooling out of him flickered in my brain. The urge to vomit overwhelmed me, I leaned over and spilt my stomach contents in a five gallon bucket that was sitting beside the mattress.

I searched my pocket for my phone but it wasn't there. Lorenzo must have taken it when they chained me up.

The door to my cell was slid open and a lady who looked nice enough came in carrying a tray with food on it. She wore a nurse uniform, and looked to be in her late thirties.

"Dinner is served." She sat the tray down on the mattress and the smell of the food made me nauseous.

"Thank you. I'm Annabelle." I offered her a weak smile and she nodded at me once.

"I'm Rose I'm the nurse here. Let's give you your medicine then I'll leave you to eat in peace." She suggested and I started to panic I didn't want to take any more medicine.

She pulled a syringe out of her pocket and flicked out any air bubbles that were inside. She reached over and wrapped a rubber band around my arm and took the cap off of the needle.

"Hell no! You are not giving me anymore of that shit!" I tried moving as far as I could from her but that chains on my feet left me restricted.

"Be still! I was given orders and I won't disobey them. Now hold still!" She grabbed my arm digging her long fingernails into my skin, I tried to pull away and thankfully I caught her off guard and was able to move away from her just as she was about to stick me with the needle.

"Get away from me you psycho!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

"Ricky get in here! We have a fighter!" Rose yelled frantically and the same guy who punched me knocking me out came walking into the room. I knew then that I was screwed, I already wasn't his favorite person as it is.

"Hey Ricky." I tried flirting with him hoping that would buy me some time to come up with a different plan.

"Shut up bitch." He wrapped both of his arms around me holding me still and unable to move. Rose pulled the cap off the needle again and jabbed me in the arm pushing the cool liquid through the needle and into my body. Ricky released me and I collapsed on the floor.

"Next time we won't be as gentle about it." I laid on the filthy mattress and brought my knees up to my chest. Tears fell down my face and even though I had only been there three days I gave up all hope of ever being found. This was it. This is where I'm going to die either from being beaten to death or overdosed on whatever kind of drugs they were giving me. I laid there and cried from myself, for Vincent wherever he may be, and for my friends and family. I cried myself to sleep with the help of the drugs they injected me with.

**VINCENT'S POV**
I woke up connected to wires, the beeping of machines and heart monitors let me know I was in the hospital. I groaned in pain as I pushed myself in a sitting position.

"Boss don't try to get up! You'll bust your stitches." Matteo rushed over to me trying to push me back down.

"Fuck the stitches!" I yelled in frustration. I reached over and ripped out the IV they put in my arm making it bleed but I didn't care. I had to get up I couldn't just lay around knowing that those bastards had Annabelle.

"Vincent don't be stupid! You are going to hurt yourself." I heard from behind me I slowly turned my head and saw my mother standing there looking shocked and terrified.

"I have been stuck in this damn hospital for God only knows how long when Annabelle is God knows where! I won't rest until I find her and kill those bastards!" I pushed myself out of my hospital bed hissing in pain that spread throughout my chest.

"It's been three days you are not healed Vincent. You have to calm down before you hurt yourself even more." My mom patted me on the shoulder trying to comfort me with no success. I had to get out of that damn hospital room, the sooner I start looking for her myself the sooner I will find her. I started walking out of my hospital room and down the hallway. My parents and Matteo chased me down but I let my anger move me.

"Where are you going?" My mom asked me when they caught up to me. I stopped at the nurses station and slammed my hands down on the counter. The receptionist looked up at me in fear.

"My name is Vincent Colombo and I'm leaving." I told her and the older lady sprang out of her seat.

"Sir you can't leave! You haven't been discharged yet the doctor still needs to examine your wounds."

"I don't care I'm leaving." I started to walk away and the older lady came around the counter. She went to grab my hand and I yanked it away from her.

"Let's get you back to your room and we will get you a sedative." I moved further away from her. My hospital gown I had on showing my whole ass to everyone in the waiting room.

"I'm not going back in there. I told you I'm leaving and that's final." She sighed and handed me clipboard.

"Sign these, they are forms saying you are leaving against doctors orders and that we aren't responsible for any injuries you may have after you leave our care." She looked at me disapprovingly as I signed my name on all the forms and handed her back the clipboard. I walked out of the hospital the wind blowing my paper gown all over the place.

"Don't you want to get you dressed? Vincent we brought you clothes." My mom asked me and I shook my head.

"I've already wasted enough time." Rubio pulled the suv up to the hospital entrance. We all piled into the car and headed to the house. I had no idea where to start looking for Annabelle. My heart ached for her, not knowing where she was of if she way okay made me uneasy like a ticking time bomb. We pulled up to my house and I opened the door and marched up to my room. I took a warm shower cleaning myself of all the dried blood and hospital filth left on my skin. I quickly
got out, dried off, and slipped into some sweatpants and a t-shirt.

I went down to my office where all my men and my parents were. They all looked at me like I had lost my mind but I didn't care. I wouldn't stop until I had Annabelle back with me.

"Don't look at me like I am going to break at any moment. I'm fine. I'm not going to rest until Annabelle is back here with me where she belongs! I'm going to need all hands on deck." I demanded knowing that my guys had my back.

"What do you need us to do?" Adriano asked me.

"I'm going to need our best trackers listening in on the cell towers, and to keep on trying to track Anna's phone in case they turn it on. If they turn it on for even a second it will alert us of their location. I'm going to call around and see if anyone knows where Lorenzo's current headquarters are. Matteo and Adriano I want you two to take a few men with you and go back out to Antonio's and make sure that he and all his men are okay. I want the rest of you to scatter around town looking for any of Lorenzo's men." I informed everyone of their job assignments and they all quickly left to start looking for anything that will help.

I inhaled a deep breath and sat down at my desk and started calling the other leaders of the different branches of the Mafia. I tried to stay hopeful that maybe I would get lucky and one of the guys would help but I wasn't to sure because we were all enemies who want to watch the others suffer.

I picked up my phone and dialed the first number it rang for a few more rings before he finally answered.

"Well well Mr. Colombo what can I do for you?" Fig said as he answered the phone. Fig is probably the worst leader that I've ever met. His men are out of control and way too wreck less. They normally draw more attention to themselves and leave a trail behind them instead of laying low.

"One of my prisoners was kidnapped by Lorenzo Abramo, I know this is a long shot but do you have any idea of his current hideouts? I'd be willing to pay whatever the price." He let out a long sigh before he answered me.

"I honestly have no idea Colombo where he would be at. I have a lot of shit on my plate right now. Sorry I can't help you."

"Thank you anyways." I hung the phone up and dialed the next number. Like before it rang a few times before someone answered the phone.

"Hey Vincent how ya been?" Pauly Cassano answered. He and my dad used to be bestfriends back in the old days before everyone went their own ways.

"Not very good, one of my prisoners was taken by Lorenzo Abramo. I know you don't owe anything but if anyone can help me it would be you. I'm willing to pay you for your help, do you by any chance know of his current hideouts?" I asked feeling more hopeful than earlier.

"Vin I know that me and your dad aren't really close anymore but you'll always be like a son to me. Of course I will help you, at no cost. I'm not sure where Abramo is but we will find that sorry bastard. You have my word. I'm going to round up my men and we will come head your way." Pauly reassured me and hung up the phone. I worried about Anna so much that it made me sick to my stomach. Three days of not knowing where she was or if she was okay was killing me. One thing for sure is that I wasn't going to rest until she was back home with me and once she is I'm not going to let her out of my sight.
