꧁-------❤︎-------꧂

MARRIAGE is just a 8 letter word isn't it? Yet carrying hundreds and thousands of emotions related to it.  By taking the seven vows around the holy fire, with each and every step, two people promise to stay together, come what may.

For almost every person, marriage is a blessing. Well this is what is not the same in this case. This is not how the story goes. It is completely different as one expects. Destiny has it's own plan and thus, brought two people, who are strangers to each other, belonging two different world and completely opposite to each other, together, by tying their knots.

~~~~~~~
The witnesses stood in stupified horror, too stunned to speak anything. The scene which laid before them was grotesque and gory. A man of nearly in early-thirties was lying on the road, in an unconscious state with blood oozing out through his nose and a thick line of blood too trailed down his lips as it gushed out his mouth.
Seeing such an incident, a silence prevailed all around, with people carrying a shocking look, exchanging glances when a voice from the crowd was audible.
"Someone kindly call the ambulance. He needs an immediate medication." A male voice spoke up, excusing himself from the crowd and moving towards the victim.
"Please someone inform the medical department." he continued.
"Yeah yeah sure.", another voice was heard and gradually the silence was breaking when all the witnesses started gossiping among themselves and some helping the patient.
Few minutes passed and then the ambulance arrived when people helped each other in lifting the person and got him inside the ambulance and headed towards the hospital when one of them found his phone lying on the road.
With the thought of informing his family, he quickly caught hold of the mobile and pressed the side button lightly, switching it on.
"Ohh god! It's locked." the person sighed in disappointment.
"Now how shall I inform his family?Maybe there is someone's id in the emergency list." He thought to himself, keeping his vision straight to the phone and soon opened the emergency contact list when only a single name was visible, TIA.
Then without wasting a single second, dialed the number and after few seconds of ring, a voice of a young girl was heard from the other side.
"Hello."
"Hello....."
.........
"Good morning ma'am. Today, here a patient, name Mr. Tar-----Tarun Singhania had been admitted----could you please let me know----" her voice stammered with beads of sweat trailing down her cheeks, rising from the forehead and eyes brimmed with tears.
"Room no 45." the receptionist replied.
"Fort----forty five----Thank you----Thank you." she said and was about to leave the place when was stopped by someone.
"Excuse me madam", a manly voice stoke her eardrums, making her stop at that moment.
"Yes."
"Myself Nitin. Nitin Gupta. I was the one who informed you."
"Ohhh. Thank you so much for helping bhaiyya and also for letting me know."
"No it's ok. I did what was right as a person-----his phone." he said forwarding it to her while having a look at her, Tiasha's eyes became moist with tears, with one drop escaping it.
With trembling hands, she took the phone and before she could utter anything further the latter said.
"You first go and meet the patient. I need to leave for a meeting. Actually-------"
"No no it's ok. You have your own work------Once again, thank you for everything" she replied with a low smile plastering her lips and immediately turned around and left the place.
Passing through the corridor, she finally came and stood in front of a room where on the nameplate, with bold letters it was displayed- ROOM NO 45.
On reading that, she took a deep breath, with eyes shut close and tears rolling down her cheeks. Lost in her own thoughts, she kept on having a negative vibes, when her trance was broken by someone.
"Madam."
"Huhhh?"
"Madam, you are the patient's relative?"
"Yeah sister. I am his sis------sister."
"Ohh. Please come inside. Doctor is examining him only."
"Is he fine?"
"First, please come inside."
The nurse said, guiding her towards the cabin and by slightly pushing the door inwards, both entered the room.
As soon as she stepped inside, her eyes fell on Tarun, who was lying down with a pale face and the doctor examining him. Hearing the footsteps, he turned his face slightly towards the door and gave a low smile to her, signaling everything to be fine.
"Doctor how's bhaiyya?"
"Better. But as you know Tiasha he is suffering from lung cancer and-----"
"I know doctor. But without telling this to me, make him understand this. Not a single time, not a single time he listens to me or keep my words." Tiasha said giving an angry look to Tarun while seeing her acts, he laughed a little.
"Hahaha. No no he would surely take care. Isn't Mr. Tarun?" the doctor asked him.
"Yeah I will." He said slightly nodding his head.
"Ok, so let me now leave this cabin and check his reports. Till then you both carry on. And Tiasha, after leaving do meet me once."
"Sure doctor."
"Take care Tiasha dear."
"Yeah doctor."
As soon as the doctor departed along with the nurse, Tiasha slowly walked towards his bed and made herself comfortable on the chair which was kept at the side of it, with tears rolling down her cheeks, continuously.
"What happened Tia? Got worried?"
"I shouldn't?"
"Tia I am------"
"Please bhaiyya. I beg you. Please now stop this. Already I lost mumma and papa. I can't bear the loss of anyone else. Please."
"But Tia, you know the truth. Even if I take the best care of myself, I can't survive long."
"Again? Bhaiyya, now I am getting angry." Tia's eyes brimmed with tears.
"Moreover, if you would leave me and go then how would I live? What will I do? Have you thought?" she added to her sentence.
"Tia, I know. I know except me you have no one. But, this is how not life goes. It has perfect plans and we have to go with the flow."
" I don't want any perfect plan. I just want you to stay with me. It all happened because of you. Why didn't you let this be known to me earlier? Thank God that last month, due to my own work I visited the hospital."
"This is because I didn't want you to be in trouble. I also got to know at a later stage only. Moreover, we can never change the destiny. Can we?"
"Destiny? Plan? What plan? What are you talking? And what trouble bhaiyya? You think you did a great job by hiding the fact? Moreover, where did you go today? Doctor asked to take rest right?"
With a broken voice, she kept on questioning him one after the other, demanding an answer from his side.
"I went to the office. An important meeting was there along with a few official works which were yet to be done, some legal documents needed to be signed and-------" he said gradually lowering down his voice.
"What happened bhaiyya? You stopped in between? And what?"
Tarun slowly lifted his hand and caught hers in between his palms and with much hope yet sadness, looked at her and said.
"Tia, if I would ask you to do something will you agree?" his voice sounded very different.
"Bhaiyya, why are you saying like this? Obviously I will keep your request. You just tell me. Moreover, I never ever broke your promise. Tell me clearly what happened?"
"My dear sister, this promise is not the same as the other ones. Think once and then tell dear."
"Bhaiyya, I have full faith in you and know that you won't take any wrong decision for me. Please now tell me what happened? Any problem?"
"Tiasha, I don't want that after I leave this world, you are left alone. I want someone to be with you and take care of you."
As his speech continued further, she somewhat understood the matter but was still eager to know it from Tarun.
"Tia, I have fixed your marriage." Tarun said.
This one sentence was enough to make her leave in a shocked state with thousands of emotions passing inside her.
"Today, I had a meeting about that only. Tiasha, I have hardly few months left to live and you know that. Before dying, I want you to get a family of your own. I family which will be your support system." he continued speaking.
"No----no---- no-----bhaiyya. You won't be going anywhere and I don't know anything. Understood?" she almost scolded him.
"Hahaha. No dear. That won't happen. You know it's last stage and despite the treatment, I won't survive long. I knew that if you had known this earlier then a turmoil would run inside you so I tried to hide the fact. I knew you would have left your studies and all and spent time with me so as to make me recover. I mean the thing which you are doing since last few days after things getting worse. Tia dear, I don't------" Tia was left in shock with his words.
"But bhaiyya more than you nothing is important to me." she said his hands tightly.
"I know and because of this I am worried for you. Tia, I have no option dear sister. If mumma and papa would have been here then I would have never taken this decision. Except me you have none. So, by considering it as my last wish to you, please keep this request of mine. I arranged your marriage, marriage with my friend's, younger cousin brother, the eldest son of The Khurrana Group of Industries."
"The Khurrana Group of Industries? You mean the company with whom you signed the last deal right? The one who helped our company during the crisis?"
"Yeah. And the owner of the company, Mr. Raj Khurrana, himself wanted to make you their son's wife, the elder daughter-in-law of their family. They kept the proposal in front of me which I could not deny. Thus, considering it as my last wish, I want you to marry Mr. Raj Khurrana's eldest child, Mr. Neil Khurrana."
Hearing that, Tia was left in shock and felt her entire world collapsing under her feet, with an strange feeling of an upcoming storm which was about to give her a terrifying welcome. Yet on the other hand, from the time her brother Tarun became her guardian, she never ever failed to keep a promise and deny his proposal.
With several thoughts running inside her mind and eyes brimmed with tears she kept looking at Tarun, unblinkingly, having a conflict with her mind and heart.
A silence prevailed in the room which was broken by Tiasha, when after inhaling a deep brethe, she spoke up.
"Bhaiyya" her voice was barely audible.
"Yes Tia?" he waited for an answer.
"You will be happy if I marry the person whom you chose right?" she asked looking straight into his eyes.
"Tia?" he asked confused.
"Bhaiyya, you already took the decision and I won't disrespect that. I never did and I never will. So, tell me if this marriage takes place you will be happy or not?" tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Tia, I don't want that after my death you become an orphan. I don't want you to stay in darkness, without all the happiness which you deserve. I just want to see you settled and have a family. It's my wish. My happiness lies in you. And I know you will surely be happy. They are indeed very kind and generous people. You will be happy Tia. You will be very happy." his voice reflected much hope and happiness.
His facial expression was making her weak from within. As time passed by, with every passing second, Tia was being left in more and more shock and was gradually becoming mentally and emotionally weak. The dilemma was still there. She was constantly having a conflict with her mind and heart and was figuring out an answer. Her eyes were fixed on Tarun's face, which was expecting an positive response.
Thus, shrugging off all the if's and but's, consequences, everything, so as to fulfil this wish of her brother, with much reluctance, she agreed for the marriage, a marriage which she was doing only for the sake of her brother.
