~Tiasha's POV~

It was 20th October, the day which turned my entire life upside-down when bhaiyya informed me about the proposal and the last wish of his. Keeping his words in mind and respecting the decision he took for me, I, Ms. Tiasha Singhania agreed with the marriage proposal.

Today, is my wedding. The auspicious day for every would-be bride and groom who sees lots of dreams and aspirations. But my case, I guess it was not the same. It's not that I never had a plan about my marriage nor I didn't see any dreams relating to it. But above all, I kept my own dreams, my own aspirations regarding my studies and establishing myself as an independent one. I agreed to this marriage only for the sake of my brother.

Dressed in a beautiful red lehenga embroidered with golden artworks on it, along with heavy jewellery which made my bridal look a perfect one, I was sitting all alone in my room, with an album consisting our family photographs, in my hand and lost in my own thoughts.

My trance was broken when I heard footsteps inside the room and on hearing that, I quickly wiped off the tears that were about to roll down my cheeks and turned towards the doorway when I found, Sneha and Priya my two crazy best friends, beautifully dressed in a pink and blue lehenga respectively, standing near the door.

"Tia, Tia, Tiaaaaa" they screamed and ran towards me, giving a bone-crushing hug.

"Sneha, Priya" I reciprocated the hug

"Omg! I can't believe this. You are getting married? You Tia? You?" Priya exclaimed.

Even I could not believe the fact yet so just preferred remaining quite and gave her a low smile.

"Anyways leave this. How can you do this yaar?"Sneha asked.

"Do what?" I questioned back.

"What? Tia you didn't inform us that you are getting married. You didn't inform your best friends?" Sneha said in her dramatic way, wiping away those fake tears.

Such a drama queen she is!

"No actually it happened so suddenly and no one had got that much time, so---"

"Hey hey it's ok. Don't take it seriously dude. I was just kidding. It's ok." Priya interupted before I could complete.

"------Anyways, who is the lucky man?" she continued after a pause.

"Mr. Neil Khurrana"

"Wwwwwhhhhhaaaatttt!" she screamed at the top of her voice, turning my ears almost deaf and looked at Sneha with eyes widened a bit and both were busy exchanging glances.

Why're they staring at each other like that and such a scream? Did I tell something wrong or shocking?

"Tia, you are getting married to whom?" Sneha asked, shocked.

" Mr. Neil Khurrana, as far as I remember the name" I replied being entirely confused.

"You mean the CEO of The Khurrana Group of Industries? The one who is the topmost business tycoon and every girl's dream?" Priya joined Sneha.

"Except me" I replied her immediately.

"Yeah yeah fine. By the way, you know who he is Tia? He is Mr. Neil Khurrana. OMG! You are damn lucky girl." Sneha exclaimed in excitement and hugged me tightly.

"Relax Sneha. Why are you guys being so excited?"

"We won't? Tia he is Neil, Mr. Neil Khurrana" Sneha said and broke the hug.

Those two were behaving in such a way as if I was marrying any celebrity or alien or someone not from this planet.

"Moreover, see yourself. Tia you don't even know him. I mean you don't know HIM." Priya said emphasizing on HIM.

"Hmmm. Bhaiyya told that he is his friend's cousin brother. Just this much. Moreover, you know I am not interested much about this business world. So, I don't know. Moreover, you all must have known that I am not marrying on my own wish. Bhaiyya just wants me to see settled and thus----"

"Arre, I know. But Tia, he is Mr. Neil Khurrana. Everyone knows him. Even I." Priya again repeated the same sentence.

Both kept on telling me in such a way as if I had committed some crime or blunder by not knowing him. At that time, I was already feeling so tensed and on top of that their research on my would be husband, drove me more crazy.

Why didn't these two friends of mine spent this time in doing research work for our assignments and not doing PhD in Mr. Neil Khurrana?

It would be more beneficial then.

"Anyways, leave this now." Priya said and threw herself on the bed.

Thank God!

"So, what's the menu?" she asked, picking the album and flipping through the photographs.

"Exactly! See we forgot the main thing only. Tell Tia what's the menu?" Sneha joined Priya.

"Menu? I don't know. Bhaiyya decided everything." I replied.

"What!? You don't know the menu of your own marriage? Anyways, sweet section is there right? That's enough for us." As Priya said, a sweet smile plastered her lips.

"Yeah it's there obviously. Come on Pri what's question is this?" Sneha said.

Here comes my two sweetaholics! Hihi, though, I am also one.

"Hmmm. So, Tia Rasgulla's are there right? And Gulab Jamun, Kaju katli, Ladoo, Rasmalai?" Priya asked, being curious enough to know the answer.

"Pri, you are missing something." Sneha interrupted.

"What?" Priya asked, confused.

Wowww, such great friends of mine. Here I am dying of tension and they are busy with the menu.

"Dessert. What about that? I mean caramel casturd pudding and brownie with ice-cream along with the sweets. Our favourite ones. I hope you didn't forget our favourite dishes Tia. And in this moment, since you didn't know about our arrival so ONLY this much will do for us" Sneha's words left me in a shock.

How could I even forget these? But, these items are ONLY?

Had I known that they all would be coming, then swear I would prepare a separate counter for them.

"What? Why are you looking at us like that?" She asked confused.

"Nothing. Do one thing. You go and check downstairs. The food counter is set up at the backyard." I replied and sat on the bed, sighed.

"Ok ok fine. That will be done. But really Tia, we are really very happy for you." They said in unison and bowed their faces down, looking at the floor.

"Sneha, Priya what happened? You guys are crying?" I aksed in a low voice, lifting there faces.

"No. It's ju---just we -----" Priya stammered.

"Hey please! Already, I am so tensed and even though you all arrived, you are being emotional now! Please now stop this." I was on the verge of crying.

"Yaar we will miss you so much Tia. Our outings, picnics, nightstays, parties and what not." Sneha sobbed.

"Ohh come on yaar. I'm not going to Mars or Jupiter that you all can't meet me. Neither, I am leaving college. So just chill."

"Yeah. But after marriage will you ever get the time to remember us? Then we will--------" I cut short Priya in between.

"Shut up you both now! No matter what happens, I can't forget these crazy peeps who play such an important role in my life. Now you both stop, or I will cry I am telling."

"Hahaha. Fine. Now stop blackmailing you Miss., Ohhh sorry! would be Mrs. Khurrana" Priya said slightly hitting my shoulder with hers.

Indeed friends are life and these two are my lifelines. Today, amidst all the tension and all, there presence really lifted my mood.

Then we sat together and kept talking among ourselves when I heard another knock at the door and turning towards it I found it opening inwards and bhaiyya entering the room. Seeing him, I literally jumped off the bed and ran towards him.

As soon as I went and stopped in front of him, my eyes staring at his face, I found his eyes to be moist yet a smile was plastering his lips.

"Wowwwwww Tia, you are looking so gorgeous." bhaiyya's eyes brimmed with tears.

"Thank you bhaiyya"

"Really, how time passes right? The little Tia who used to roam this entire house in my arms, now getting married." he said and a lone tear escaped his eyes.

"Nothing changed ok? Your Tia is still the same for you and will always remain so. For parents, their child never grows. Moreover, for me, you are my mumma and papa both. So, better don't say this from next time." I said with a cute pout.

"Hahaha! Ok ok now come downstairs. The groom has already arrived. " bhaiyya said with a smile plastering his lips.

God knows what will happen now.

"Pandit ji is calling you. Priya, Sneha bring her to the pavillion" he said gently rubbing his hand over my head and left the place.

No sooner did he depart than I remained still in my position with several thoughts clustering my mind with eyes fixed in his way of departure. My trance was then broken when a felt a pat on my shoulders.

"Tia relax. We can understand that you are eager to meet your husband and thus so lost in his thoughts. But first turn this side." Priya said removing some kohl from her eyes and placed a small dot behind my ears.

"Now your look is just perfect" Sneha put the veil over my head.

"Thank you. Now if everything is over so let's go" I said.

"Wowww Priya, see someone is being desperate." Sneha smirked

"Yeah. I can see that pretty well" Priya gave her a hi-fi.

Here, both were busy teasing and pulling my leg while I my mind was getting occupied with several thoughts. Yet not wasting much time in thinking something negative, I shrugged it off from my mind and left the room and along with Sneha and Priya, who guided me towards the pavilion.

.......

As I passed through the corridor, carrying the heavy lehenga which weighed almost how many kgs I don't know and swept along the floor and slowly was approaching towards the pavilion when my heart started beating at a faster rate and nervousness was visible all over my face.

The more I was closer to the place, the more my mind was again getting occupied with several thoughts. From a distant, I saw bhaiyya standing near the pavilion with his friends, especially the one who gave the proposal of this marriage. His best friend and my friend cum brother, Karan bhaiyya, Mr. Karan Sharma.

Finally, by slowly stepping down the stairs I reached the pavilion when bhaiyya came and gave a sweet smile while seeing that I bowed a little, touched his feet and took the blessings. He showered his blessings wholeheartedly and planted a kiss on my forehead and headed me more towards the pavilion.

As soon as I reached the main area and turned my face, looking a little up, my eyes went and got hooked to the person who was standing in front of me, wearing a expensive Sherwani with a red turban, tied around his head.

His tall and handsome figure, having a height of almost about 6'1 inch with the jet black eyes made me carried away a bit and almost forgetting the fact that where I was present, I kept on admiring him.

Enough Tia, what are you doing? Stop staring!

My conscience knocked my mind, bringing me back to senses when I heard Sneha and his friends gossiping about the matter.

"Tia dear, your eyes are ok? The way you were staring at him made me think that it will fall off the socket and roll down." Sneha said while laughing a little.

"But must say one thing. Your husband is so handsome and too hot" Priya whisphered to my ears.

"Shut up" I replied giving her a stern look.

All of them laughed out loud hearing that while I was feeling awkward when I found my would-be husband standing there like a statue, with an expressionless face, making it clear that it was not liked by him at all.

"Ok ok now enough of this fun and all. Pandit ji may we proceed with the marriage?" A lady of nearly about mid fourties or fifties uttered the words.

"Yeah sure Mrs. Shalini. Let's begin with the rituals." Pandit ji replied.

Mrs. Shalini? That means she is Shalini aunty, my mother-in-law.

"Now the bride and groom will exchange the garland." Pandit ji said

I moved one step closer to him, removed my garland from the neck and was about to put it over his head when suddenly he was lifted up.

"Not so quick bhabi." two voices echoed at the same time, one of a girl and other a boy.

They are addressing me as bhabi? That means they are my brother-in-law and sister-in-law respectively. I thought, having a glance at them.

"What is this? This is not fair. Put him down" Sneha said.

"Obviously it's fair. Why not? Yeah if bhabi is getting eager then------"

"Ok done. Now we will also see."Priya replied along with bhaiyya.

Hearing that, I looked at them confused and before could utter even a single letter, I found myself being lifted up due to which my eyes were shut immediately.

"Omg! What are you doing? Put me down." I screamed.

"Now see. It's a match." Bhaiyya replied.

My eyes were slowly reopened when the entire atmosphere was filled with laughter and all the faces were brightening with a smile, including bhaiyya's.

Seeing such happiness getting reflected on his face, somewhere my heart was also filled with joy as in this entire world nothing was more important than happiness of my dear ones.

"Tia, what are you waiting for? Make him wear the garland." Sneha instructed me.

Then I did what ever I was instructed to do and like that the rituals were gradually getting carried on. Both exchanged the garlands which was then followed by the saat pheres (the seven vows around the marriage fire).

With each and every step around it, we both promised each other to stay by the side, in every situation, a happy one or a sad and to be together not for this birth but the next seven ones. Though I was not sure about the next moment only.

As one by one, the promises were being taken, I felt some kind of unknown emotions running inside me along with the thought whether I could stand on my words or not as making a promise and then breaking it was not according to what I belief.

With the last round, finally the seven vows were completed and then again I sat back on the pavilion with the groom beside me with huge round of applause, echoing in the entire place.

"Now, the groom will fill the bride's hairline with this vermilion and tie the nuptial chain around her neck." Pandit ji said forwarding the thaal to Mr. Khurrana.

Looking at the thaal, he kept his gaze fixed on it when he was again asked to take the vermilion and fill my hairline. After staring at it for sometime, he took a pinch of vermilion from the box and turned his face towards me.

As soon as I had a look at his face closely, an unknown sadness was clearly visible in his eyes. Those jet black eyes which were shining like diamonds was having a tale hidden behind.

With much reluctance and confusion, yet a smile plastering his lips, he slowly moved his hands towards my hairline and seeing that I immediately shut my eyes due to anticipation when I felt his hand at the tip of my forehead.

At that moment, my heart was really racing at a faster rate as if participating in a marathon, with mixed emotions going inside me when finally he adorns my hairline with the bright red vermilion, resulting in a escape of lone tear from my eyes along with a bit of it falling on my nose.

My eyes were then slowly opened when I heard people saying that I would be the luckiest person as my entire nose turned red because of the vermilion while I just kept on hearing their words, with my vision slightly focusing on his face which still carried the same expression as earlier. Then he took the nuptial chain and tied it around my neck.

"The marriage is successfully completed. Now, you both are lawfully wedded." Pandit ji announced with a bright smile on his face.

As soon as his sentence completed, the entire place again echoed with the huge rounds of applause and the entire atmosphere was filled with happiness.

Finally, the marriage was successfully conducted and ended in a happy note, I guess so. I also kept my brother's wish by marrying the person of his choice and stepped into a new life and from Ms. Tiasha Singhania, I became, Mrs. Tiasha Neil Khurrana.
