Hey my lovely readers.

How are you all?

Are you all enjoying the book so far?

Just wanted to know something from you all. Do you like the cover of my book?

Please give me your honest opinion because I've made it myself and I really want to know if I can design covers myself or I should stop it altogether.

Let's start with Akash's POV today.

Akash's POV

The next few days went by with Siya trying to avoid me as much as she could and Kriti trying to avoid Sid as much as she could while he was following her like a love sick puppy.

Next month was here and there was no progress in finding out whether Mohit and Siya were lying about their relationship or not.

Mohit did visit their flat a few times and stayed over, but if there was something fishy about them, Siya was hiding it from us quite well.

It was the weekend now and I was relaxing on the couch, sprawled like a lazy person.

I was switching channels while scrolling down my phone when Sid came and settled himself on the couch beside me.

Scrolling through the phone, I found that there were two missed calls from an international number, most probably from the US.

Strange, I don't have anyone living in the US. Who could it be?

"Sid do you recognize this number?" I asked him and showed my call logs.

He fished out his phone from his pocket and scrolled through his call log.

"Hey, I received a call from the same number last night. I couldn't pick it because I was sleeping and before I could pick it, the call was disconnected "he said.

"Well, my phone was on silent so I didn't know about it and I got to know about it just now," I said.

"Okay, let me call and check who it is," I said and dialed the number.

After a few rings, the call was answered by a groggy female voice on the other end.

"Hello" the voice said.

"Hi... ummm... actually I got a call from this number" I said.

"Hmmm... wait a minute" she said lazily and yawned.

I put the phone on speaker as Sid asked me to and then, after a minute or two, we heard shuffling on the other side.

"Hey hi, remember me?" she asked.

I looked at Sid asking if he recognized the voice, but he shrugged.

"No" I said after a few seconds.

"Hey how come you don't remember me? I am Samaira you dumbo, "she said in a duh tone.

"Oh my god, it's you" I said with a smile.

"Yes you idiot. I never thought you would forget me, "she said.

"I am so sorry for not being in touch with you," I said, feeling guilty.

"Oh Akash, that's okay. We were all busy choosing and shaping our careers. I understand it must be difficult for you, "she said.

"Yeah, thanks for understanding," I said. "Sid is also with me."

"Oh I know," she said.

"Huh... how do you know?" I asked, getting confused.

"Hmmm... Kriti told me," she said instantly.

"You're in touch with Kriti?" I asked her. "As far as I know, you both didn't get along well," I asked her, remembering the time when I scolded her because of Kriti and Siya.

"Oh yeah... actually we are just umm... casual friends. Yeah casual friends and just a few days back she told me that she was working with you and Sid when I was chatting with her, "she said nervously, almost stuttering.

I looked at Sid and he gave me a suspicious look.

"So you've been in touch with her?" I asked her.

"Not really... just casual chatting," she said.

"Okay" I said, as I didn't want to press the matter much.

"But how come you are calling from an international number?" I asked her.

"Oh... actually I have been in the US for a while now," she said.

"Okay, what are you doing there?" I asked her.

"I am actually at Harvard business school right now. My course is about to be completed and I'll be coming back to India next month, "she said.

"Oh my, congratulations" I said.

I was genuinely happy for her.

"Thank you so much," she said, giggling.

"So what are you planning to do after coming back here?" I asked her.

"Nothing much. Once I get married, I'll be joining my husband's office, "she said.

"You're getting married?" I asked her, dumbfounded at the new found information.

"Yes, actually that's the reason I called you. I am getting married next month and I want both of you to attend my wedding, "she said.

"Oh my god congratulations" Sid said this time and I wished her as well.

"So who's the unlucky guy?" I teased her.

"Hey shut up. He is so lucky to have me, "she said with fake anger.

"Yeah yeah, but who are you getting married to?" I asked her.

"Well, it's a surprise. I just want you and Sid to attend my wedding, "she said.

"Okay, when's the engagement by the way?" I asked her.

"Well, we were engaged long back, before I came to the US," she said.

"Okay, so it's been a long time since you knew him," I asked her.

"Yes, and he was the one who insisted I pursue an MBA here." He was the one who convinced me and his family to let me complete my studies and then we could get married, "she said, admiration dripping from her voice.

"Oh, so it seems he's quite understanding and supportive," I said.

"Of course he is. I couldn't get anyone better than him, "she said with a dreamy voice.

"Samaira, why do I feel you're in love with him?" I said to her.

"Of course, I am in love with him and he's in love with me too," she said.

"Oh my god, 'Samaira Kapoor', who never used to give importance to any boy in her life, is in love," I said, teasing her.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be in love with such a wonderful person who has been nothing but supportive and co-operative with me? He inspired me to do better in my career and made me understand that I shouldn't let my potential go to waste, "she said.

"So how did you both meet?" I asked her.

"Well, actually ours is an arranged marriage, more like a business alliance. My father suggested the alliance as soon as I graduated from our college and you already know, as I am the only child, they're thinking of merging our business through this alliance, "she said.

"I understand these types of alliance are very common in the business world," I said.

"Yeah, but I was lucky enough I didn't get some cold hearted billionaire to deal with. I swear Akash, I would've been dead if he was some cold hearted person, but at least he was tolerable, "she said, chuckling.

"You seem quite fond of him," I asked her.

"Yes I am and I've no shame in admitting it," she said.

"Okay then, text me the dates. Me and Sid will apply for leaves, "I said.

"Okay and be sure to attend all my wedding functions. It'll be a big fat Indian wedding, "she said, excitedly.

"Since it's a business merger, I am guessing the media will also be a part of it," I asked her.

"Yes, obviously," she said in a duh tone.

"All right, then I'll text you the other details, and I'll let you know when we're both coming," I said.

"Aye aye caption" she said in a mock salute tone and after bidding our goodbyes, I disconnected the call.

"I can't imagine this girl is getting married," Sid said.

"Yeah, but she deserves it. She's a bit naughty, but she's very soft hearted, "I said.

"Yes. She is, "Sid said.

"But how come she's still on talking terms with Kriti?" Sid asked.

"I don't know," I shrugged.

Time went by and in the evening, I got a call from my dad.

"Yes papa" I said on the phone.

"Akash, we need to attend a wedding next month," dad said on the call.

"But dad, is it necessary? I mean all of you can attend it. I don't think it's required for me to attend it, "I said, groaning on the phone.

"No way Akash. We have known them for a long time and I think you know the groom too. Mohit Singh is getting married," he announced.

Listening to the name, my heart stopped beating for a second.

If Mohit is getting married then, he must be getting married to... Siya?

"Wh... Who is he.. get.. getting married to" I asked with difficulty.

"I am not sure of the girl's name as they haven't sent a formal invitation yet. Mr. Singh just called me today to inform me about it, "he said.

"Okay... when is the wedding?" I asked him.

"Next month on the 14th" he replied.

"Dad, can I call you in some time? I am kind of busy right now, "I said.

"Of course, but I need you to attend this wedding at any cost," he said and disconnected the call.

Mohit is getting married to... my Siya.

Siya's POV

Finally, Samaira di's course came to an end.

Mohit and she will get married next month,.

They both had their own ups and downs, but they survived it and I am glad they found each other.

They were made for each other, and they complete each other.

Kriti has been eating my head as she wants to shop a lot. She says it's her only brother's wedding, so she'll make sure to empty all of Mohit's bank account.

I just laughed at her antics.

Since today is Saturday, we both decided to visit a mall for her shopping.

As it was already evening, we decided to shop a little and have dinner outside.

As we were closing the door to our apartment, Sid asked from behind us, "Where are you two going?"

"It's none of your business" Kriti glared at him.

"Oh come on, tell me" he said, making a puppy face.

"We're going shopping, any problem?" she said, keeping her arms over her chest.

"Why?" he asked.

"Mohit Bhaiya is getting married and I want to shop," she said.

As soon as she said it, horror crossed over my face.

They would think that I was getting married to him.

Oh shit.

I am in deep trouble now.

"Oh so Siya is getting married?" he asked, looking at me and I shared a look with Kriti.

Both were waiting for my answer and I nodded, looking down.

When I looked back at Kriti, she gave me a disappointed look and I heard Sid muttering 'thought so' under his breath.

I didn't know what to say.

Sighing and not meeting his gaze, I followed Kriti and we proceeded to the mall.

The whole ride to the mall and while coming back from there, my mind was over the fact that Sid knew about it, then obviously Akash would also know about it.

How heartbroken he'll be if he thinks that me and Mohit are getting married, but eventually he'll come to know about Mohit getting married to someone else and then, he'll ask me about it.

What will I answer him then?

Am I ready to let him know the truth?

How long will I be able to delay it now when their marriage is less than a month away?

Once we were back to our flat, Kriti said "That was a hell of a shopping trip. Why didn't you buy something? "

"I don't think I should go to Mohit's wedding," I said, sighing.

"Why?" Kriti asked.

"I don't know if it's a good idea to attend the wedding," I said.

"Why not? We've known each other for ages. Of course, you should attend the wedding. Moreover, Bhai and Samaira Bhabhi will be upset if you don't attend their wedding, "she said.

She's right. The situation is unavoidable and, moreover, I can't make any excuse for them. They've been so supportive of me throughout my college life and even now. Whatever my situation is, it isn't their problem.

They've already done so much for me, and they'll be devastated if they find out I won't be attending their wedding.

I agreed with Kriti and decided to apply for leave on the next working day.

The next day went by without anything interesting.

Once in the office, we were both applying for leaves on our systems when the two devils of our lives entered in all their glory.

When we were asked to take our lunch break, the devils called for us when all the other trainees left.

Silently, we went to them.

"Why do you need leave for a week?" Sid asked, eyeing Kriti.

"As you already know, my dear brother is getting married, so I need leave to attend his wedding," she said, glaring at him.

"Okay, what about you?" Sid asked, looking at me now.

I could feel Akash's gaze on me, but I tried to avoid it as much as I could.

"I need leave to attend Mohit's wedding," I said without realizing the slip of tongue I made.

"You need to attend Mohit's wedding. That means you need to leave for your wedding? " Sid asked me, eyeing me suspiciously.

"Yes, of course, I need to leave for my wedding," I said, looking down.

"So, Kriti, being Mohit's sister, needs leave for ten days and you, being the bride, need leave for ten days as well.  Are you sure it's your wedding? Usually, the bride needs a long vacation, "Sid asked.

I am tongue tied now. Of course, a bride generally takes more than fifteen days leave. I am so so stupid to not have thought about it earlier.

"Sid and Kriti, you both can leave. She's my reportee. I'll talk to her, "Akash said with a lazy smile on his face, his hands in his pockets giving him a devilishly handsome look.

I didn't realize when the two traitors went out of the training hall leaving us alone.

I was shamelessly gawking at his features when he came dangerously close to me, his breath fanning my face.

I turned my face to the other side when he pushed me back till my back hit the wall, caging me between him and the wall.

"We need to talk now, seriously, baby" he whispered the last part in my ears, making me shiver under his touch.

Gulping audibly, I looked at him and he was already staring at me with so much emotion.

How am I going to handle this devil of my boss now?
