Hey my lovely readers

How are you all?

Well finally, the 4 of them saw each other in the last chapter and now they'll start their incomplete journey once again.

Let's begin with the chapter now

Siya's POV

We were being taught about the new technologies that are being used in this company when our trainer received a call.

After attending the call he told us that our project managers will be visiting to meet us all in some time.

The discussion was still going on when I heard the door opening and my head snapped to it.

I saw Akash followed by Sid entering the hall with bright smile on their faces.

My mouth was hung open.

"I am sure I am imagining things" I said more like whispered to myself.

"No, you're not. They are here, for real" Kriti said, with equal shock on her face.

We faced each other with shock evident on both our faces.

"Thank god, we decided to sit on the last bench" Kriti said.

"But we still need to face them" I said getting worried.

"We are on the last bench. There are very less chances of them seeing us" she said.

"But I don't want to take any chances" I said.

"Okay then, we need to hide behind the people who are seated before us" she said.

"Okay" I said.

The whole time we both were trying our best to avoid them, hiding behind the people seated before us.

When he started speaking, I couldn't help but admire how confident and straightforward his reply were but the one thing that shocked me was that we would be reporting them.

Can this day be any more disastrous?

"Oh god, how can we report them?" Kriti asked horrified.

"I...I don't know" I said.

The whole session just went by and as he said that it was almost time to leave as the clock hit 5, we took sigh of relief but it was short-lived as they asked us to introduce ourselves.

God, just kill me.

We were trying our best to avoid them but I don't think we can avoid it anymore.

Once the introductions started, we just sink deeper into the chair until Sid's voice startled us.

"Hey, any problem? Why are you both hiding behind? Please don't be shy. Just introduce yourselves so that we can get along" he said , casually.

Realizing there's no escape to this situation, Kriti came out of hiding and said "of...of course Sid...I mean Siddharth. I am Kriti Singh from College of engineering and arts."

I could see Sid's shocking face and I also realized Akash turned to Sid hearing Kriti's voice.

It was my turn now.

Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm my racing nerves and said "I...I am Siya Verma from college of engineering and arts."

I could see Akash fully turning towards us as soon as I finished introducing myself.

When his eyes met mine, I could see the shock on his face and mumbling something to himself.

We were still staring at each other when the trainer said "okay Akash, since the introductions are done, I think it's time we let them go. It's almost six."

He came out of the trance and still looking at me said "yes..yes of course."

"Okay guys, we'll see you tomorrow at sharp 9. Don't be late" the trainer said and dismissed us.

I came out of the trance and taking my belongings, me and Kriti waited for some time for the hall to become empty so that we could head out but what caught my attention was that Sid and Akash were still waiting for the hall to become empty and their gaze was directed to us.

Lowering my gaze so that I didn't have to face them, we headed to the door as we four were the last one to leave the hall.

We could hear footsteps behind us, indicating that they were following us.

Once outside the hall, we rushed to the exit gate as if our tail was on fire.

"That was certainly unexpected" Kriti said, trying to calm herself.

"Yes it was" I said, trying to catch my breath.

After few minutes we heard Kriti's cell going off.

"Yes bhaiya" she said.

"Yes, the first day is over and we just came outside" she said.

It was Mohit.

"Yes, not a problem, we can have dinner together if you want, anyways we need to go out for having dinner" she said, looking at me.

I just shook my head.

She looked at me sternly and said "of course she'll come. Why would she have any problem in attending just a normal dinner?"

Sighing I just heard her one sided conversation and after irritating Mohit for few minutes, she disconnected the call.

"What?" I asked innocently.

"Why were you not ready to come to dinner with us?" she asked, glaring at me.

"I...I just don't want to" I said, looking down.

Sighing, she said "you can't keep doing this to yourself Siya. You remember what you decided today after lunch right?"

"Yes" I mumbled.

"Then you should stick to it. Even if it is happening for real, face it, get over it. Don't let anything hold you back. You decided to move on and you should move on. So what if we'll report to him, so what if we'll work on the same project. Just accept it and move on" she said, keeping her hands on my shoulder.

"Don't let anything affect you Siya. Life is too short. Don't waste it thinking about something which isn't possible" she said.

"I know...it's just that..." I trailed off.

"I know it's difficult, especially when we'll be working together but you should remember that none of this is your fault. None of this is in your control. It's destiny that has brought you to him again. It's up to you now, how you'll handle it" she said.

"Just remember Siya, whatever your decision is, I'll always be there with you" she said.

"I know Kriti, thank you" I said hugging her.

"If not for you, I wouldn't be alive today" I said with tears in my eyes.

"Come on girl. it's just in the past. Don't ever talk about it, okay?" she said, wiping my tears.

We waited for few more minutes outside the main gate when I asked her "what was Mohit saying?"

"Nothing much, he'll be coming to us in like 10 minutes and then we'll have dinner together" she said.

I suddenly felt some tingling, like someone is boring holes on my back.

I saw Kriti was staring at my back with wide eyes.

When I turned back, I saw Sid and Akash staring back at us.

I immediately averted my gaze and looked down.

I can't look at him.

I don't deserve to look at him, I don't have the courage to look at him.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw him lighting a cigarette and taking a puff.

Oh my god, he has started smoking, since when?

Am I the reason he has started smoking because in college he never used to smoke.

Finally I looked up and saw him staring back at me, still cigarette in his hands.

We kept staring at each other till I heard a voice.

"Hey Kriti" Mohit said.

"Hi bhaiya" she said and hugged him.

"I missed you" she said.

"I missed you too" he said, kissing her forehead.

I turned towards him and he said "Hi Siya."

"Hi Mohit" I greeted him and he hugged me.

The action was sudden and I could sense his eyes on me but I decided to ignore it.

Breaking the hug, he cupped my cheeks and asked "how was your day."

"It was fine" I mumbled.

Mohit and I have become good friends over the years but I've already made him clear that I can never reciprocate his feelings and he gladly accepted it.

"Come let's go" he said and dragged both of us to his car which was parked on the other end of the road.

We silently followed him and getting in the car, we drove off to god knows where.

Akash's POV

Shocked is something that I am feeling right now.

My eyes just came out of socket seeing her, in front of me after so many years.

She has always been beautiful but I think with passing time, she has become even more beautiful.

I had an instant urge to just run to her and hug her. I missed her...her talks, her innocence, her everything. She used to drive me crazy just looking into my eyes years ago and years later...she still has the same effect on me.

She owes me, my body, my soul, my heart. She owes every fibre in me.

There must be many boys after her to get her in their life.

My blood boiled just at the thought of it but then reality struck me, she's not mine, not anymore.

She belongs to somebody else and...that's not me.

Tears welled up in my eyes but I quickly blinked them away.

After the introductions were over, the trainer asked everyone to head out as the day was almost over.

My head snapped to Kriti who was also shocked, looking at Sid but nonetheless they both headed to the exit door but I think they waited for some time to get the exit empty so that they could head out.

I decided to wait for exit to get cleared so that I could be a little close to her. I just wanted to smell her. Her body smell was the thing I was addicted to the most.

What are you doing Akash? She belongs to Mohit.

The though was just enough to bring me back to reality as it felt like someone poured a bucket of cold water on me.

"Why are we following them?" Sid whispered coming close to me.

"Who said I am following them?" I asked him. "It's you who's following Kriti."

"Shut up" he said.

"What? Don't tell me you aren't happy seeing her?" I said to him.

"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be happy seeing her?" he said, smiling like an idiot, following her.

"Dude, you are whipped" I said and he smiled "only for her."

When we turned our heads to the front, I saw them turning away and running like someone is behind them to eat them.

I just shook my head and laughed hard.

"They are still kids" Sid said, laughing hard with amusement in his voice.

"What do you expect from freshers? If you remember we also used to behave childish when we joined this company" I said.

"Yes...they'll start behaving maturely after some days I think" he said.

"Do you...do you want to talk to her?" he said, once we were in our cabins to get our bags.

I stopped for a second and then said "honestly speaking I...I don't know."

"For now...I am just happy that I got to see her and she's fine" I said.

We then headed to the exit gate and saw Kriti and Siya talking to each other, her back was facing me.

I wanted to see her once again.

As if on cue, she turned and I saw her beautiful face once again.

Kriti was also staring at Sid.

She averted her gaze and looked down.

I took out a cigarette and started smoking, my eyes still were fixed on her.

Oh shit, I shouldn't be smoking now, especially when she's near me.

As soon as I was about to crush it, I saw a familiar figure approaching them.

Mohit.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Sid asked me.

Seeing him, I didn't crush my cigarette and continued taking puff from it.

I saw him hugging Kriti and then he hugged Siya but what surprised me was that she hugged him back.

My blood boiled looking at the scene in front of me.

I just crushed the cigarette from my feet when Sid said 'Relax Akash. Don't forget, they still might be committed."

I turned to face him and he squeezed my hands.

I then turned towards them and saw them moving to his car.

She went away, without even sparing me a glance.

"You're right Akash. She isn't mine anymore. I shouldn't disturb her life. Looking at them, I think she's still committed to him" I said, sighing.

"Don't worry Akash. let's go home" he said, dragging me with him to our flat.

Once seated in our car, we drove to our flat.

Getting to our flat, I went to my room to take a shower.

The chilling water was flowing over my head to my face. When I closed my eyes the only thing that came to my mind was the scene where Siya was hugging Mohit.

She once belonged to me. I was the one who used to bring smile to her face and now she belongs to him.

My blood was still boiling at the thought of her in his arms but I am no one to say anything to her...not even her friend.

Even the chilled water wasn't enough to calm my nerves.

Getting out of the shower and wearing shorts, I went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

"Hey Akash, I was thinking about something" Sid said, chopping the onions.

"What?" I asked.

"What if Siya reports you and Kriti reports me?" he blurted.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"You heard me" he said.

"You know Sid, we can't do that. It'll be selected by management who'll be reporting us" I said.

"You just leave everything to me. Do you want Siya to report you?" he asked.

"No Sid...she's happy without me. I...I don't want to create problems between him and Mohit" I said.

"Oh come on. Who's asking you to woo her. I know you very well...you can never intentionally spoil their relation. The least you can do is befriend her" he said.

I thought for a second and contemplated the options.

There's no harm in befriending her.

"Okay" I said and Sid jumped like a child.
