Hey, my lovely readers.

How are you all?

Are you all enjoying the book so far?

last chapter was a blast wasn't it?

How was Akash's proposal? Did you all like it?

Let's begin with the chapter now.

Author's POV

Everyone was busy preparing for Siya and Akash's wedding.

Kriti had flew down from Canada to help Siya with the preparations while Sid would be there for his best friend in few days.

The project against Mehras that they had acquired was proving out to be very beneficial for them and as promised Sid was the one majorly handling the project after all, it was his dream to bring them down to ashes and this, was just the beginning of their destruction.

Akash had remained mum all this while as he knew everything about it while Kriti had told Siya all about it after getting permission from Sid, even before Siya had tried to convince Singhs for their marriage.

Siya had been aghast listening to what they had to go through but she supported Kriti, like a rock while Akash supported Sid.

They had been best friends for a reason and they had proven time and again how friendship should be.

"Which designer do you want the wedding dress from?" Avantika asked, looking at Siya.

The whole family along with Kriti was right now seated on the dining table having breakfast when Avantika asked for Siya's opinion.

She wanted everything to be according to Siya and Akash's choice.

Akash was fine with whatever Siya wanted, as long as everything was according to her, he didn't mind anything.

"Umm...mom actually, can I ask you something?" Siya asked fidgeting with her fingers.

She had been thinking about it for a very long time but was contemplating whether to ask about it to Avantika or not.

What if she gets hurt with her request and Siya never wanted to hurt Akash's family's feelings, not at any cost.

"Of course, Siya. Shoot away" she said smiling at her and kept her hands over Siya's which was resting on the table.

"Akash had once showed me your wedding pictures" Siya said glancing at Akash.

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion thinking about what she was implying but nodded anyways.

"Oh, he did?" Avantika asked, giving her a small smile.

Siya nodded.

"Umm...if you don't mind...can I...can I wear...your wedding dress?" Siya asked, looking down.

She was afraid of getting scolded by her thus she was nervous to ask her about it.

"I...I would understand if you would not like to give it to me. I think I was stupid to ask you. I am sorry" she babbled and then stopped when she didn't hear anything from Avantika.

Looking up, she saw Avantika with tears in her eyes and she panicked.

"Mom...I am sorry. I was stupid to ask you about it. I...please forgive me" she babbled but then Avantika placed her fingers on her lips to stop her from saying anything further.

"You know, even I wanted to have a daughter and I had always dreamt of her in my wedding dress but instead of daughter, I got a son" she said, looking at Akash who shrugged.

He was used to his mother's ways of letting him know that she always wanted a daughter, so he was immune to her talks now.

His parents should have tried harder, or better, adopted a girl but they didn't.

What he didn't know was, they wanted to adopt a daughter, so bad but they had to give up the idea because they were one of the most prominent business families of their country. If they had adopted a daughter, the chances of the news leaking to media were high and they knew any adopted child would never want to know that they are adopted.

It would break their heart and Avantika never wanted anything like that to happen to any child, so she and Aman mutually decided to give up the idea of adoption.

"It would be like dream come true for me if you wear my wedding dress" Avantika said and Siya smiled from ear to ear.

"Thank you so much mom" she said and standing up from her chair, hugged her tightly.

"Your welcome my baby" Avantika said and all the family members awed at the scene in front of them.

Akash had always imagined this scene happening in reality and now when it is finally happening, he could not contain his happiness.

Clearing his throat to gain their attention, Aman asked "Siya, we want to ask you something important."

"Of course dad, tell me" she said and sat on the chair again.

Glancing around everyone, he asked "Umm...would you like to call your parents for the wedding?"

Her smile vanished listening to his words but then taking a deep breath, she said "dad, will I be a bad daughter if I don't want to invite them to the wedding?"

"No child, not at all. We just want to make sure that everything is according to you" he said, patting her head.

"I...I want papa to come for my wedding" she said.

"Okay, I will invite him" he said, giving her a small smile.

"Wha..what about your mother?" Akash's aunty asked her, hesitantly.

She knew she should not ask about her mother but even she wanted to make sure that everything should be according to Siya.

"Aunty...I have decided to break all my ties with her" Siya said, glancing around.

Well Akash knew about it already but this was a news for the other family members.

They couldn't say anything about it to her because they knew, somewhere what Siya had decided was important for her to remain in peace.

"Whatever you decide, we will always support you" Adarsh's dad said and all nodded.

"Thank you" she said glancing at everyone and when she looked at Akash, he had a small assuring smile on his face.

"I'll ask Sophia to bring my wedding dress along with her when she comes here, okay Siya?" Avantika said to her and she grinned from ear to ear.

"Thank you so much mom. You are the best" Siya said kissed her cheeks.

"Yeah I know that" Avantika said and Akash rolled his eyes.

He knew now who would be bossing around the home among him and Siya. It would obviously be Siya and he didn't mind.

She was his queen after all.

"Mom, that's enough. At least you should acknowledge me. I am your son" Akash complained but he was ignored as always and Siya stuck her tongue out at him.

"What about spinster's party?" Adarsh's mom asked.

"Yeah, I am planning one for Siya. Jannet will arrange it and she is very excited about it" Kriti said grinning from ear to ear.

"What? No!" Akash exclaimed.

"Why no?" Adarsh's mom asked narrowing her eyes at Akash. "If you can have bachelor's party then why can't girls have their spinster's party?" she asked further.

"Chachi, I know Jannet very well. She will call strippers" Akash said, annoyed and Siya's eyes widened.

She looked at Kriti for confirmation and in return, she nodded her head.

Siya closed her eyes in frustration. There goes her chance to have a spinster's party.

"So what if Jannet arranges strippers?" Adarsh's mom said and it was Akash's turn to close his eyes in frustration.

"Of course you all would support Siya" Akash mumbled.

"Yes of course. I will always support her. Moreover it's just once she is going to get married. Let her enjoy her last day as spinster at least" Avantika said, rolling her eyes.

"Mom, at least not you" Akash whined.

"Please mom, just once support me" Akash said and she shrugged.

"Dad" he said turning to Aman.

"Keep me out of it" he said in a mock surrender.

"Chachu" he turned to his uncle who just zipped his mouth.

"You are all so bad. Dominating a poor boy like me" he said, trying to gain sympathy and then, they all laughed at him.

Glaring at all of them, he went to his room.

Finally Sophia and Adarsh came few days prior to the wedding.

Sophia, Jannet, Kriti and Siya had a blast while shopping for the wedding.

The spinster's party was a blast and Siya, well she enjoyed every moment of her last day as a spinster.

She was drunk like heck and was babbling all the while that how she would dominate Akash in bed and at home.

Kriti, Jannet and Sophia, well they recorded her drunk state and sent the video to Akash.

Akash couldn't believe that his Siya was this...bold and he was getting impatient with every passing second as to how would she dominate him on bed.

He was ready to be her slave on bed and at home if that was what she wanted.

It was finally the day of the wedding and Akash had a surprise stored in for Siya which he had thought about a lot after discussing with Kriti.

He just hoped that she liked it.

Cladded in his mother's golden shimmery lehenga with golden embroidery, Siya descended the stairs with Kriti's help and Akash's breath hitched looking at the beauty in front of him.

(SIYA'S BRIDAL LOOK)

He couldn't believe that this gorgeous and wonderful woman who loved him with all her heart was going to be his, in front of all his family, friends and the world.

How did he get so lucky?

"Bhai, stop ogling at her" Adarsh whispered from beside him and Akash glared at his brother.

"I can ogle at her all I want" Akash said with a hard glare and then turned to look at his bride and his eyes softened.

(AKASH'S LOOK)

Siya's eyes were downcast all the while as she was nervous like heck.

All the pep talk Kriti and Samaira gave her while getting ready in this enormous lehenga was of no use now.

She had always been comfortable around Akash but now when he was finally going to hers, the jittery feeling and the butterflies in her stomach just won't go away.

Keeping her eyes still on the floor, she sat beside Akash and both of their heartbeats quickened.

The priest chanted the mantras while they both folded their hands in front of the holy fire.

They closed their eyes to feel the overwhelming emotions in their heart.

The priest then asked the two of them to take seven rounds around the holy fire.

Akash looked at her and as soon as her father came to tie the knot around Siya and Akash, she in a whisper, said "papa, I am sorry I couldn't inform about this earlier, I want Akash's mom and dad to do the ritual of kanyadaan."

(For those who don't know, kanyadaan is a ritual in Hindu wedding ceremony which means giving away the bride to the bridegroom by the bride's parents. Though it has many versions and controversial theories, it is still practiced in many Hindu weddings)

Siya's father's eyes widened and then welled up with tears but he invited this himself.

He was snatched the most important part of being a father by her own daughter.

According to some theories, it is said that very fortunate people get the opportunity to do kanyadaan and this signifies that they for sure must have done some good deeds in their current or previous lives.

What he didn't understand was that there was difference between the way Akash's parents made up to the mistake they did and her father's way of apologizing.

Akash's family had embraced her with open arms and did everything in their power to bring her out of depression and had even apologized for their mistake while her father, even when he knew how much she needed to be away from her mother, didn't support her.

She had suffered all her life, all because of her mother, the least she expected from her father was to stand up for her, at least when she slipped into depression the second time but...he didn't.

She was not angry at him anymore, neither disappointed with him but she wanted this important ritual of her life to be done by the couple who had given her the love of parents, which she always craved for and that was Akash's parents, so she decided it.

She knew her father would be disappointed and heartbroken with her this decision but she, for once wanted to do something for Akash's parents, after all they were like her own parents, probably even more than her real parents.

Listening to how Avantika had expressed her desire to have a daughter many times, she decided that this was the least she could for her.

Siya's father just nodded his head and came back to his place with eyes welled with tears while Akash's parents stepped in to complete the ritual.

Taking Siya's hands in his, Aman kept her hand just above Akash's, as instructed by the priest and just then Akash noticed Siya's hands.

He was mesmerized to see her soft hands with beautiful henna design which reached till her elbow.

Unknowingly he smiled, she had cladded his name's henna. The thought itself was very much enough to bring the jittery feeling in him again.

Once the ritual of kanyadaan was over, Aman and Avantika were asked to tie the ends of their cloth by the priest which they both followed.

Both Akash and Siya stood up from their seating position once the ends of their clothing was tied and then Akash turned around to look at her and saw that she was already looking down.

Without wasting a second, he clasped his hands in hers and she looked at him.

He gave her a wide smile and with their intertwined hands, he looked ahead and started taking rounds around the holy fire.

Everyone was showering them with flower petals and Akash had a wide smile on his face.

Completing the seven rounds, they both sat again and then it was time to tie the nupital chain around her neck.

Kriti gave the chain in Akash's hands which was custom made for Siya.

Taking the chain in his hands, he proceeded to Siya's neck and she looked up.

As soon as the she saw the chain, her eyes welled up with tears.

It was the same chain which she had given to Akash, which had his promise ring and the chain that was gifted by Kriti, only difference was, there were black and golden beads around the ring and along the chain, making it look more or less like a nupital chain.

She looked at Akash and he was smiling from ear to ear, happy and proud at himself that she was happy with the surprise he had planned for her.

The chain was very important for her, he knew it very well and today was the right time to gift it back to her, on her neck, where the chain had always and rightfully belonged.

Tying the chain around her neck, he then took a pinch of vermilion and filled her hair partition, making her his, for the rest of their life and probably for the next seven lives.

As soon as she felt vermilion being put on her hair partition, she couldn't stop the tears that were welled up in her eyes and a tear rolled down her cheek and looking at her, even Akash couldn't stop the tears that had welled around his eyes.

He then made her look at him and shook his head at her while wiping the stray tear that rolled down her cheek.

How long had they waited for this moment, how many obstacles had they faced, how many years went by without each other but now when the moment had finally arrived, they felt content and complete.

All the obstacles, pain, yearning, longing for each other was all worth it.

"Vivaah sampann hua" the priest said.

(The marriage rituals are completed)

On the other hand in a secluded room

Taking the envelope she handed him and studying it carefully, he asked her "You...are you sure you want to resign?" Adarsh asked her.

Taking a deep breath, Sophia said "Yes, Adarsh Sir, I want to."

Taking predatory steps towards her, caging her between him and the wall, caressing her cheeks very lightly, he said "I've known you long enough to understand that this isn't what you want to do. Tell me, what is it?"

The way he was caressing her cheeks, was creating havoc in the pit of her stomach but she couldn't tell him the reason, not now, not ever.

Placing her hands over his big hands which were resting on her cheeks, she not meeting his gaze, said "Sir, please don't make it difficult for me. I...I can longer work with you."

"Have you really made up your mind?" Adarsh asked and she, simply nodded.

"Why?" Adarsh asked, almost in a defeated tone. His voice barely above a whisper.

"You're the most efficient employee I could ever get" he said.

"Because I...I love someone else and I am getting married to him" She said with tears in her eyes, looking down.

He was shocked to hear what she said and in his trance, he backed away, the whole time his eyes were on her.

Taking this as an opportunity, she went away, very far away from him, to a place where he couldn't find her, ever.
