So I was listening to this beautiful song on keeping up a promise and you will see a lot of promises Akash will be fulfilling in the next few chapters that he made to Siya.

Though this song has many remixed versions, I thought if sharing the original version with you all.

Let's begin with the chapter now.

Siya's POV

I was right now seated on my study and was writing diary when I heard the door click open.

I could hear slow footsteps and I knew who it was.

Smiling, I continued writing when I felt hands covering my eyes and I stopped writing, keeping the pen down.

"Siya" I heard him whisper in my ears and lightly bit my earlobe making a tingling sensation in my stomach.

I held his hand and kept my hands over his.

"Akash" I said and he took his hands off my eyes and sat on the table with his one leg dangling in the air while I opened my eyes.

"What are you doing?" he asked, eyeing my laptop whose flap was open while I was writing in my diary.

"Nothing, just penning down some thoughts" I said, closing the diary.

"Can I see what you are writing, please?" he pleaded with puppy eyes making me chuckle.

"No Akash, that's personal. You should never read anyone's diary" I said.

"I know...I am just curios to know your thoughts" he said.

Chuckling, I stood up from my chair and going to him, lightly sat on his thigh while my legs were dangling in the air.

He wrapped his arms around me so that I don't fall.

"I know your curiosity, Akash but even you need to understand me, right?" I said.

He just hummed and kept his chin on my head.

"You know, it all feels like a dream. You, being with me, with your will, giving me a chance, I just can't believe you...you took me back" he said and I could hear his hoarse voice showing that he had been emotional about it.

Turning around in his hold and standing at my full height, I saw his eyes welled up with tears which he was trying to blink away.

Just then a tear rolled down his cheek and I wiped it away with my thumb.

"No more tears, Akash. We both only deserve happiness, with each other" I said.

"I know Siya...it's just that...I am unable to control how I am feeling right now. I had no hope of you coming back to me or giving me a chance but when you finally did, I couldn't be any happier" he said, tugging a lose strand of hair behind my ear.

"I know how you feel Akash. I can understand it because I felt the same way when you came back to me at my house, to check on me. I was just living on that thin thread of hope that you would be back, for me just like how you have been feeling now, when even your hope to be with me got fulfilled" I said and kissed both his eyes.

"You know, I love it, when you kiss my eyes" he said, kissing my nose.

"And I love it when you kiss my nose" I said and he grinned.

Then he pecked my nose numerous times, making me giggle.

"Siya, I wanted to talk something important to you" he said.

"Yes, tell me" I said and sat on the chair again while he was still seated on the table.

"Siya, my whole family will be visiting next month, before the function" he said, nervously.

"That's really good isn't it? I mean they definitely should, after all you and Adarsh both have received the award. They must be so proud of you, isn't it?" I asked, excited.

"Yeah, they are but I want to request you something" he said.

"What is it, Akash?" I asked, confused.

"Can you...can you please not discuss about the problems we had in our relationship after you came to New York?" he said.

"I...I just don't want them to stress about it" he said and I looked down.

"I know why you are asking me not to talk to them about it" I said.

"Huh?" he said and I looked at him.

"That's because you don't want them to have bad impression of me, right?" I asked with tears in my eyes which I wiped away.

"Oh god, no Siya. That's not the reason. My family could never have a bad impression of you" he said and took my hands in his.

Kissing my knuckles, he said "I just don't want them to get upset about we both suffering. Believe me, when they come to know of the reason of your indifference to me, they would support you and not me but they have seen me suffering, seen you suffering due to depression. Now when everything is alright between us and you have decided to give us a chance, I don't want them to get upset, please."

"I understand what you are saying, Akash. Even I don't want them to get troubled. They have been nothing but nice to me, treated me like a daughter. I won't ever mention about the problems that we had in our relationship. Moreover, uncle has BP problem, I don't want his BP to shoot up" I said and he smiled.

"You are the best, Siya" he said and caressed my cheeks.

"I know" I said and gave him a mischievous smile.

"Siya...I need your permission for something as well" he started nervously.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"You...you remember once you told me that you want to be introduced as my fiancé when I receive the best Entrepreneur of the year award?" he asked.

"Yes, I remember" I said.

I clearly remember the conversation that we had about it when we were working together in office.

"You remember the conversation?" I asked with a heavy voice.

"Of course, I remember it, why wouldn't I?" he said, giving me a smile.

"Do you want to get engaged before the ceremony so that I could introduce you to the media as my fiancé or...would you like to wait and not be introduced at all, as in do you need more time with me to be assured of our relationship?" he said, stuttering all the while.

I could sense that he was damn nervous.

"What do you want to do, Akash?" I asked.

"I...it's not about me, Siya. It's about you" he said, caressing my cheek.

"No Akash, it's not only about me, it's about you as well. Even your opinion matters" I said.

"You really want to know my opinion?" he said.

"Of course, it should be our mutual decision" I said, smiling.

"I want to get married to you, right here, right now" he said and my breath hitched.

"But I know that you are still not ready to take the next step of our life, so I want you to tell me, what do you want?" he asked.

Before I could say anything, he said "and don't worry if you don't feel like being introduced as my fiancé. I would totally understand it. There's no pressure from me. I only brought this topic up because it was one of your many wishes, from me and I want to fulfil all your wishes, all your expectations that you have from me. I have failed you time and again and I don't to fail you now."

How could I not love this man, how could I not forgive this man for his mistake and today, he proved that my decision to give us a chance was going to be worthwhile.

"You can introduce me as your love interest, if that's fine with you" I said and his eyes widened.

"Really?" he asked with twinkling eyes and I nodded with a smile.

The next thing I know, I was made to stand up from my chair and was pulled in a bone crushing hug.

"Oh Siya, Siya, you have made me the happiest person today" he said and lifting me up, twirled me around in the air, making me squeal.

After around two minutes of him twirling me, I started feeling dizzy.

"Akash, put me down" I screamed, looking at him and he just grinned.

Keeping my on my feet, he kissed my forehead and said "thank you."

I said nothing, just smiled, a content one.

"Siya...I know probably you don't want to talk about it but...can I ask you something?" he asked.

"Sure" I said, wrapping my hand around his neck.

"Do you...do you want to keep any relationship with your parents?" he asked and my smile vanished.

"Will I be a bad daughter if I say that I don't want to keep any ties with my mother?" I asked, feeling skeptical of my decision.

"No..no Siya, not at all. It should be purely your decision and believe me, whatever you decide, me and my family will be supporting you, without any questions" he said and kissed my nose.

Taking a deep breath, I said "I just want to keep ties with my father and no..not my mother."

"Okay, if that's what you want, I will make sure that it happens and nobody forces you to change your decision" he said and gave a lingering kiss on my forehead, making me close my eyes in happiness and content.

Akash's POV

Days were passing by and I was very happy that Siya was making efforts to bring our relationship to how it was.

I was right now seated on my bed with my head rested on the headboard while Siya was sitting between my legs.

"What do you think about kids, Akash?" she asked and my breath hitched.

I know we had this conversation before but having this conversation again with her was like...I was reliving the moment.

"I...I don't know, Siya. What do you say?" I asked.

"Ummm...when do you want to have kids?" she asked.

"Siya, frankly speaking we had our fare share of problems and before we dedicate time for our kids, I want some time for ourselves" I said.

"But of course, it should be up to you to decide after all it is your body and you should be the one to decide how many kids and when would you like to conceive them" I added.

"But...it should be our mutual decision" she said.

"Of course it should be but then, women face a lot of problems while conceiving and even after giving birth. I will be there with you in every step of the process but then, it will be you who will have to bear the pain. Though the pain is inevitable and we can't do anything about it but I want you to take the step only when you will be physically and emotionally ready to embrace motherhood. There will be no hurry" I said and kissed her head.

"Ummm...Siya, what do you think about Kriti?" I asked her skeptically while caressing her hair with my fingers.

"I will talk to her when she comes here" she said.

"Hmmm" I just hummed.

"Akash, how long is it before Sid's time to impress Mohit is over?" she asked caressing my arms which were around her waist.

"Around three months, why?" I asked, kissing her temple.

"Nothing. Do you think Sid will be able to convince Mohit?" she asked.

"Siya, there have been lot of ups and downs in Sid and Kriti's life" I said and her action of caressing my arms stopped.

"She...she didn't tell my anything" she said in a low voice. "I think I lost that right to know about her problems."

"No Siya, it's nothing like that. You already had too much to deal with and she didn't want to burden you with her problems, that's why she chose not to discuss her problems with you" I said.

"But...she could have told me" she said in a hoarse voice.

Sighing, I said "Siya, would you share your problems with Kriti had she been in your place?"

"Probably no" she said.

"See, that's what even she did, right?" I said.

"Yeah" she said and taking my hand in hers, kissed my palm.

"I...I am planning a surprise for Kriti" she said after a few minutes of silence.

"Oh wow, that's great. What is the surprise?" I asked, excited.

"That you will get to know on the day of function" she said, turning to me and straddled on my lap.

"Come on, Siya. It's just me, I am sure you can tell it to me. I promise I won't say a word to her" I said, pouting and kissed her nose.

"Nope" she said and wiggled out of my hold.

"Siya please" I said, giving her my puppy eyes but she didn't budge.

"No" she said, shaking her head and then, I started tickling her sides.

"Oh..no...Akash" she said squealing and fell down on the bed while I continued to tickle her.

"Siya, tell me or I won't leave you" I said and slid her top to expose her stomach while I continued to tickle her.

"I...no" she said in between her laughter.

"Baby, you are so going to regret not telling me" I said and continued tickling her while she continued to squeal.

"Akash...no...no" she said and then my eyes fell on her heaving chest and my hands on it's own stopped tickling her.

I just stared in her eyes and she stared back at me while still breathing heavily.

Our eyes were locked when I leaned on her and captured her lips with mine.

She without wasting a second kissed me back with equal passion while my tongue was fighting for dominance but she didn't let me.

I liked dominant Siya, each and every part of it.

She lightly pulled my hair and I groaned in her mouth.

Breaking the kiss, I started giving butterfly kisses all along her neck, jawline and shoulder blade while she continued to chant my name.

"Ak..Akash" she stuttered when I slid her top a little down to reveal her bra cladded breasts.

Sliding the strap of the dress down and then sliding the top till her waist, I kissed all along her cleavage, stomach, naval making her arch her back.

"Akash" she moaned and held fistful of my hair, making me hard.

"Yes, Siya" I said, breathless, looking at her and our eyes locked for a few seconds when there was a knock on the door and I groaned in frustration while Siya just laughed.

There was a knock again when Siya pushed me a little to get off the bed and started caressing her now messy hair to make her look presentable.

Wearing the top properly again, she opened the door to reveal Sophia and Adarsh.

"Oh Siya" she squealed and hugged her tight.

"I am so happy" she said.

I could sense Siya was a little taken aback but nevertheless, she hugged her back.

"Sophia, I can't breathe" she said and Sophia immediately left her.

"Oh I am so sorry" she said, giving a sheepish smile while I shook my head.

"Adarsh" Siya said and hugged him.

"How are you, princess?" he asked and kissed her hair.

"I am fine" she mumbled in his chest which just melted my heart.

Breaking the hug, he said "I heard you and Akash are giving your relationship a chance?"

"Yes but how do you know? We didn't tell anyone about it yet" she said, confused.

"Actually Siya, I told them, yesterday" I said, rubbing the back of my neck and she shook her head.

"Yeah and I am glad that I gave a chance to us" she said, looking at me.

"So now that everything is going well between you two, we have decided that we will not give you both any privacy today and have a movie marathon tonight" Sophia said and I narrowed my eyes at her.

I wanted to spend some alone time with Siya.

"Wow...of course" Siya said, clapping her hands and I felt like slapping my head.

"Let's go to the theatre room, I even made popcorn for all of us, then we will order pizza for dinner" Sophia said and started dragging Siya with her.

"I will order pizza for all of us, what topping do you want" I heard Siya say and saw her vanishing with Sophia while I just pouted.

She left me, for Sophia?

"Siya" I mumbled and heard a loud roar of laughter.

Looking at the source of the voice, I saw Adarsh laughing at my state.

"Don't laugh at me" I said, annoyed.

"Look at your face, bhai" he said and laughed hard, clutching his stomach.

"I'll laugh at you the same way when Sophia will ditch you for her friends" I said, glaring at him.

He wiped the corner of his eyes which had tears formed.

"Sophia will never do that and moreover, I wouldn't feel jealous like you. It's not like she is my girlfriend or something" he said, shrugging.

"We will see" I said.

"Akash, are you coming" I heard Siya's voice from the third floor.

"Coming baby" I yelled and sighed.

There goes my chance of being alone with her today.
