Hey, my lovely readers.

How are you all?

Are you all enjoying the book so far?

So in order to know my readers better, I have a next question.

Who is your favorite actor and actress (including both hollywood and Indian cinema).

Mine is...well nobody in actress but I am a die hard fan of Vicky Kaushal, Rajkumar Rao and Prabhas.

As in hollywood, I really admired Heath Ledger's acting and in actress, I really admire Jennifer Lawrence.

I told you mine, now tell me yours.

Chapter dedicated to my dear reader sneha__mantri Abby2315 &sharadha1

I know you requested for an early update but since I couldn't, I am dedicating this chapter to all three of you. Please accept it as a token of my apology ๐Ÿ™

Let's begin with the chapter now.

Siya's POV

I was in Deepak uncle's house, again and was doing my work.

Alyna, was playing with the blocks that I got her today and she was so happy that she clung to me for about half an hour, making me laugh.

"How are you my child?" I heard Deepak uncle's voice which made me smile.

"I am fine uncle, what about you?" I asked, keeping aside my laptop which I was working on.

"Oh I am fine my dear but you really didn't have to bring the gift for her" he said.

"Come on uncle, how could I not? She is such a sweet child" I said.

"Yeah, she is. My son and daughter in law are out of town for one of their cases or I would've for sure introduced you to them" he said.

"Oh that's completely alright uncle" I said with a smile.

"Your smile is somewhat different today, Siya" he said.

"Yes, uncle. I don't know why but I am very..happy" I said.

"You should be because you deserve to be happy, dear" he said.

Suddenly I got a message from Kriti, asking me about my whereabouts and how I am and my smile faltered.

I guess uncle saw it.

"What happened, dear?" he asked.

"Nothing uncle, it's just my friend" I said.

"Hmmm" he just hummed but didn't say anything else.

"Am I a bad friend if I am ignoring my friend?" I asked, looking at a distance.

"Why do you think so, dear?" he asked.

"I...she has hurt me, a lot" I said and a tear slipped my eyes.

"Did she do it intentionally?" he asked and I looked at him.

He was waiting for an answer but I didn't have any.

"I...I don't know" I said.

"You know it, you just don't want to acknowledge it" he said and I looked at him shocked.

"If she wouldn't have left me, I wouldn't have to go through all that torture" I said, looking ahead.

"If she would've known that there is even a slight chance of anything horrific like that happening to you, do you think she would've left you in the first place?" he asked.

"I...I don't know uncle" I said.

Whatever he was asking, I didn't have any answer to it because it's true.

"Why do you think she ditched you?" he asked after few minutes of silence.

"I...I don't think she ditched me. The situation was uncontrollable" I said.

"Hmm. So even you are not sure if it was her fault?" he asked and I was tongue tied.

"I...it was not because of her I was in that situation. In fact she tried her best to convince my parents for my marriage with...Akash but I guess some things were out of control" I said.

"Did she ever tell you, why she left you?" he asked.

"Yeah. She couldn't see me getting married to anyone apart from Akash" I whispered.

"She seems like your soulsister" he said and I remained mum.

"Do you ever remember anything about her where she went out of her way to...help you?" he asked.

I was suddenly reminded of the time when she kept our friendship above her family.

How could I forget the time in college when Akash and Mohit had a tiff because of me and she instead of supporting her brother, supported me and my decision.

How could I forget the time when there was no one with me to support me and my family didn't know about me being in depression while she and Mohit accompanied me to my sessions.

"I wouldn't be alive, if not for her" I whispered and tears made it's way to my cheeks.

"What do you mean?" uncle asked.

"I...I tried committing suicide once and if not for her and Mohit, I would've been dead, long ago. She saved me from dying, she accompanied me to the sessions, even when I asked her not to because I thought I was being a bother to her" I said.

"Do you think it was all fake?" he asked and I looked at him.

Wiping my tears, he said "these are all general questions, Siya. You already have answer to all of them."

"But she left me" I said and tears rolled my cheeks.

"She didn't leave you, all of a sudden. She even waited for you to get hitched to your fiancรฉ. She only backed out when it became too much to handle for herself. She is also a human being. Like you have a breaking point and a tolerance level, even she has a tolerance level. Do you think if she would have known about something like this happening, she would've left you to get married to him?" he asked.

"I am sure she would have taken me with her, without any doubt" I said after thinking for a few seconds.

We were silent for a few seconds, when he said "it's not your fault to be disappointed in her, to not expect from her. It is human tendency that we most of the time think about one bad thing a person does and forget about the hundreds of good things that he did for us. From what you've told me, your friend could never do something to hurt you intentionally, don't you think so?"

"I think you are right uncle" I said, after thinking for a few seconds.

"You don't have to agree with me just because I am saying something, Siya. I am just helping you to find the answers to your questions. Remember, none of the answers to your questions were given by me. It was all you who is answering them" he said.

"You do have all the answers within yourself, Siya. Let me suggest you something. Why don't you start writing a diary?" he said.

"Diary?" I asked in confusion.

"Yes. People do tend to underestimate the power of writing but it'll help you get many things off your head" he said, patting my shoulder and stood up.

"Will it really help me?" I asked and he halted in his steps.

"It is just a piece of advise, my dear. I heard you find solace in novels?" he asked and I nodded.

"Then may be, writing is your thing" he said with a smile and walked off, leaving me with my thoughts.

"Siya, are you done with your work?" I heard Alyana say and instantly looked at her.

"Oh sweety, I am almost done" I said and saving my edited article, looked up at her.

She was peeking at my laptop and then said "are you a writer?"

"No sweety, I am not" I said, pinching her cheeks.

"So are you planning to be one?" she asked.

"Ummm...you think I can be?" I asked her skeptically.

"Of course, you can be. Do you know what my teacher says?" she asked and I shook my head.

"When we try to do something that we really want from the bottom of my heart, we have higher chances of being successful in it" she said like a big child.

I chuckled and said "really?"

"Yeah. She says that there are very less people who follow their heart and when they do, they do wonders" she said with big eyes, explaining it to me animatedly.

'Maybe writing diary will not be that bad after all' I thought.

Akash's POV

Yesterday night was something I couldn't forget.

Siya was kissing me that too with her will.

I was still lost in my thoughts thinking about the kiss when I heard Sophia say "sir."

"Yea..yeah Sophia" I said and immediately straightened up.

"I've been calling you for the past five minutes, sir. Where were you lost?" she asked.

"Nothing" I said, sighing.

How could I tell her about the kiss me and Siya shared yesterday.

The best part was, she didn't regret it and that was a big achievement for me.

Could it mean that there are chances of her forgiving me?

I know I am thinking much but there is no harm in trying.

"Sir" Sophia said again, breaking my chain of thoughts.

"Yes" I said, smiling at her.

"Are you fine?" she asked me skeptically.

"I am more than fine, Sophia" I said and stood up from my chair and pinched her cheeks.

"Ow..ow" she said, glaring at me and rubbed her cheeks.

"Sir, I think you should rest for today. I'll postpone all your meeting for tomorrow" she said.

"Oh Sophia, just don't worry, I am fine" I said and kept her I pad on my table.

Taking her hands in mine, I started doing a slow dance making her shocked.

Keeping my left hand on her waist and right hand in her left hand, I started doing a slow dance and she chuckled.

"You seem very happy today" she said, swaying with me.

"Yes, I am" I said and twirled her around.

"What seems to be the occasion?" she asked, still dancing with me.

"Well, I can only tell you as of now that Siya and I...I think we've made some progress" I said and she stopped.

"What?" she asked and kept her hands on her mouth.

"Yeah" I said, scratching the back of my neck.

"Oh my god" she squealed and hugged me tight, making me laugh.

I laughed and picking her up, just twirled her around making her squeal.

"What is going on here?" we heard a voice and immediately we broke apart.

Looking at the doorframe, we both saw Adarsh standing there with arms crossed over his chest.

"What?" I asked shrugging.

"What are you doing with my secretary" he asked.

"Nothing much, just playing around?" I said which came out more like a question.

"Why don't you play with your Siya?" he asked and took Sophia's hands from mine.

Hiding her behind him, he glared at me and I wiggled my eyebrows at him.

"Are you jealous?" I asked with narrowed eyes and he scoffed.

"Why would I be jealous?" he said.

"Then let me talk to her" I said and tried taking her from behind him.

"No" he said and turned to Sophia "go."

"But I want to talk to him" she whined.

"Sophia, you remember we had an important meeting lined up for tomorrow, right?" he said.

"There is no meeting lined up" she said, narrowing her eyes at him.

"Yes it is. Now go, shoo shoo" he said and tried to send her out of my cabin.

"Akash sir" she whined and I said "enough Adarsh, we were just discussing about Siya."

"What about her?" he asked, alarmed.

"Nothing important, just that she is recovering. I think Deepak uncle's sessions are proving to be very worthwhile" I said and sat on my chair, again.

"What is more important than bringing her out of her shell? If she starts behaving like our old Siya, we would be forever indebted to him" Sophia said.

"Yes, I agree" Adarsh said.

Just on cue my phone started ringing and to my surprise it was Siya which brought a smile on my lips.

"Hey, Siya" I said, picking up the phone.

"Hey Akash, what are you doing?" she asked.

"Nothing much baby. You tell me, how are you doing?" he asked.

"I am fine. I...I just wanted to ask you something" she asked.

"Yes baby, shoot away" I said and I was on full alert now.

"I...I want to have dinner at a restaurant today" she said and I smiled, a full blown smile.

"Of course baby, whatever you say" I said.

"Can Sophia and Adarsh accompany us, please?" she asked.

I looked at both of them and said "wait let me ask them."

Putting my palm on mic, I said "Siya is asking if you both would like to join us for dinner today?"

"Dinner? Yes" Sophia squealed and started pacing around the cabin.

"I need to find a good dress, matching pair of shoes, oh how can I forget earrings" she was in her own world while we both were looking at her as if she has grown two heads.

"Can we please go home early? I really want to dress up today" she said.

"Akash can you please put the call on speaker?" I heard Siya say and I immediately did as she said.

"Sophia, why don't you come home early today?" she asked.

"I can't. I still have some pending work" Sophia said.

"Oh please you can do it tomorrow" Siya whined and I chuckled.

"I can't. Both my bosses are glaring at me" she said and my eyes widened.

"Siya, she is lying" I and Adarsh both said at the same time.

"I know Sophia can never lie to me. You both Sharma brothers are so much indulged in your work that you don't even know how to take care of your employees. She is a human being for god's sake, try to treat her like one" she said in an annoyed voice.

"She isn't a machine like you both. Adarsh you are already a billionaire and you Akash, will be a billionaire soon. What more do you want? Do you have an aim of surpassing the money of the whole world combined?" she scolded me and my mouth hung open.

"Siya, I" I was about to say but was cut off by her "save your excuses for someone else. I am not going to let that poor girl work anymore today."

She was in a total 'mom' mood today, just like how we both brothers are scolded by our moms, she was scolding us.

When I looked at Adarsh, he was mirroring my expression.

"Siya, believe me, I" even Adarsh was cut off by Siya.

"I only believe Sophia" she said. We both looked at each other and then glared at Sophia.

She was literally laughing at our expense.

"Siya, I'll come to pick you up" she said.

"I'll wait for you, Sophia and you Akash, don't even bother to ask her anything today" she scolded me and hung up the phone.

I glared at her and she chuckled nervously.

"You traitor" I said and was about to launch at her when she dashed out of the cabin.

"Mummy" she screamed and before I could catch her, she was already out of the cabin.

"Is she the same goofy girl with you?" I asked, looking at Adarsh.

"Oh you don't even know, she's a devil disguised as an angel" he said and I laughed.
