Hey, my lovely readers.

How are you all?

Are you all enjoying the book so far?

I was just listening to random songs when I came across this song and it brought a smile on my face so I thought of sharing it with you. Please listen to it, I am sure you all would like it.

I also came across a beautiful story that you should definitely read 'Meet you past the galaxy' by anonymous__i

It's a beautiful book set up during India-Pakistan partition. A beautifully written book by an equally beautiful and talented writer.

Also, please do check 'Cherry blossom' book by anonymous__i. It's a one shot book and wouldn't take much of your time.

Let's begin with the chapter now.

Akash's POV

Days had been going by and it had been almost a month since we came here.

I was glad Siya was trying to come out of her shell, mostly because of Kriti.

She made sure not to ever let her drown in sorrow and also made sure that nothing related to her past was ever mentioned in front of her.

Probably that was one of the major reasons why Siya was trying to recover.

It's true that whenever someone tries to take a step forward and something from their horrible past is reminded, their steps get halted but Kriti was trying her best that Siya's steps towards getting and embracing a new life never halt.

That's what best friends are like, isn't it?

Even when they make mistake, they always stand by their friends, in all their highs and lows.

That's what Kriti had always done and when she was with Siya, she kept no stone unturned to bring her out of her shell.

I am glad because Kriti had been of great help.

Though she had her exams about two weeks back, she wanted to skip it and said that she would complete the trimester later siting that Siya was more important.

Me and Sid tried convincing her that we could take care of Siya but she was adamant.

It was only when Siya insisted that she shouldn't skip her exams, she went back to Canada, along with Sid.

Though they were apart, they used to talk to each other everyday, for hours on video call, god knows about what.

Siya had been lately talking to mom, a lot.

Probably she was comfortable around her or why would she almost everyday talk to her?

I was happy that she was surrounded by people who love and cherish her and not some good for nothing judgmental people who always one way or the other used to remind her of the horrible incident of her wedding night.

"You think you'll be able to handle her?" Sid asked.

We were on video call right now and Sid was still skeptical of leaving Siya and me alone in London.

He cared for Siya, a lot and I knew it very well.

Just because of Kriti's academics she couldn't accompany us and also Kriti wanted Siya to be comfortable around new people, on her own.

She told that she wanted Siya to come out of her shell and be like before and that was only possible when she would be left to discover herself.

Even I thought what Kriti said was right, she needed to take the steps herself and if anywhere she needed Kriti, she could always come to London.

Dad somehow got Siya's VISA approved like last time and she didn't need to visit embassy.

"Yes, I am sure I can manage" I said.

"I can always ask Kriti to accompany you" he said.

"No, what she said is right, I think. We want Siya to be independent. No doubt she needs our support but gradually, we need to let her stand herself" I said.

"If that's what you want" he said, sighing.

"What about Sophia?" he asked.

"Yeah, she's already in London. I'll forever be indebted to her. She was kind enough to help me and shift to London for a few weeks. I just hope Siya will be comfortable around her" I said, sighing.

"I am sure she will be because even Sophia likes her. I am sure she'll always keep in mind to keep Siya comfortable around her. I think they've met before, right? At Mohit's wedding?" he asked.

"Yeah, they did and I feel they'll get along well" I said.

"Hope so" he said.

"Okay dude, I need to go. All the best for setting up a new branch and also for Siya" he said.

"Thanks Sid" I said and disconnected the call.

It was around dinner time now but Siya was still in her room, her library.

Ever since we all made it for her, she has been sleeping in that room.

Thank god for the furniture idea, courtesy Jannet.

"May I come in?" I asked, knocking on her door.

"Yes" I heard her faint voice.

Opening the door I saw her sitting on the chair, working on her laptop.

I sat on the bed and saw her still engrossed in editing the article.

She had her spectacles narrowed down at her nose and was keenly reading the article.

I don't know much about it but I think the spectacles had zero power, to protect her eyes from the rays of the laptop which Jannet gifted to her a few days ago.

She never thought of gifting them to me and now she had gifted it to her.

They all have been taking care of her.

"Are you ready to go to London?" I asked.

Sighing, she said "I think I am."

"Don't you want to go?" I asked her.

"I...I don't know. I am feeling...good here" she said.

"You'll feel good there, too. Believe me" I said, caressing her cheeks.

She immediately closed her eyes and leaned in to my touch.

"You think I'll be able to adjust there?" she asked, opening her eyes.

"Yes, you will be able to adjust there, don't worry, moreover Sophia will be there, too" I said.

"Sophia?" she asked.

"Yes, I asked her to come to London for few weeks. Jannet can't relocate to London as we need someone in this branch to handle business deals here and Sid needs to handle Canada branch. So I though it would be better if I get help from someone experienced in handling the secretary job and what better than Sophia for it?" I said.

"Moreover even Adarsh said that he would like to accompany us for a few days and finish some of his deals which require his presence in London" I said.

"Oh, so both Sophia and Adarsh will be there?" she asked.

"Yes, for a few weeks" I said.

She was still in her thoughts when I said "don't think much about anything, Siya. Just flow with the wind, okay?"

She nodded and looked down.

"Don't you have to sleep now?" I asked.

"Yes, just a little more work and then I'll be done" she said, turning to her laptop again.

"Don't stay up for a long time, Siya. Don't strain yourself. You can do rest of the work tomorrow" I said.

"Yeah, I am almost done. Just these last few paragraphs and then I'll submit them" she said.

"Okay, I'll be waiting for you in the dining hall. Dinner will be here any minute" I said.

"Okay, I'll be there in fifteen minutes, okay?" she said.

"I'll be waiting" I said and went out of her room.

After around fifteen minutes she came to dining room and we had dinner in silence.

Once we had our dinner, we went to our respective rooms bidding our goodnights.

I just hope my plan doesn't backfire.

Siya's POV

We were in his private jet now and travelling to London.

I don't know why but he was adamant on bringing me here.

I know he had to set up his branch here and didn't want to leave me alone but is that the only reason he wanted to bring me here?

Why do I feel like there is something more to it because he has never been stubborn when it comes to me but this time, he was heck bent on bringing me here.

Even mom said that I am just being paranoid and maybe...she is right.

Anyways, we were now proceeding to his home.

How many homes does he have? I really wanted to ask it.

One penthouse in New York, one home in London and I don't know how many in India.

"What are you thinking?" he asked me.

We were right now in his car, god knows how many cars does he have. I think I should stop asking him because I am sure even he doesn't remember and I don't know how long will I have to wait for him to count.

"Nothing. Just wanted to know this house...did you buy it?" I asked, looking at him.

"Yes, I bought it about six months back. As soon as me and Sid were sure about opening a branch here, I bought it" he said.

"Oh...and this car?" I asked.

"It's Adarsh's. You remember right I told you earlier as well, he has great liking towards fancy and new cars" he said.

"Yeah, I remember" I said.

"Sophia and Adarsh just reached home. He texted me" he said.

"Oh...they'll live with us?" I asked.

"Of course, baby. Why? Don't you want to live with them?" he asked.

"No, no. It's nothing like that. I just thought that since you all have so much money he must have bought a new mansion or something for himself" I said and bit back a smile.

We always used to banter about his family's extravagant lifestyle which I had no problem with but I always used to tease him about it as I could never understand what is it with people unnecessarily wasting money.

He was a little surprised that I initiated this but what can I say...it just came out of mouth suddenly before I could even comprehend what I was saying.

"Yeah, I know you always say that but for the first time, we decided to stay together. It has been a long time since we spent time together. You already know how we got caught up with our work, him trying to handle the whole empire while me trying to build an empire of my own. So since we had this opportunity, we thought why not make perfect use of it" he said.

"So Sophia and Adarsh...are they like...a couple?" I asked him skeptically.

"What?" he exclaimed and started laughing hard throwing his head back.

Shaking his head, he said "no, they are not and I don't think they can ever be."

"Why?" I asked, curious.

"Have you ever seen them bantering? They are even worst than Kriti and Sid" he said with a smile.

"But Sophia is a very nice girl. I don't think she would initiate this kind of bantering" I voiced my thought.

"Hmmm...probably you're right. Sophia never does it but Adarsh likes to keep her on edge and when she loses her calm, she starts bantering with him" he said.

"You guys really like to get on girl's nerve isn't it?" I asked.

"Hey, now what did I do?" he asked, offended.

"Even you have similar habit like Adarsh. Getting on my nerves" I said.

"Siya, I never did that" he said.

"You always do it" I said, keeping my hands on my chest.

"Siya, you need to stop blaming me for something I never do" he said.

"You really make me frustrated sometimes" I said.

"Okay, when did I frustrate you?" he asked, glaring at me.

"You never keep your shoes and socks at place, never keep towel to dry and most importantly, keep dirty dishes in sink without washing" I said, shuddering at even the thought of visualizing the scenes.

"Come on Siya, that happens just sometimes" he said.

"No. I've noticed that you've been doing it since I came here. Do you knowingly do it?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.

"Siya" he said and we felt the car stopping.

"Sir, we are here" the driver said and we both looked in front to see Mark smiling at us.

Oh how could I forget, even Mark had come with us.

"Sir, I'll carry the bags. You all please proceed to the mansion" he said and got out of the car.

"Mansion? But you said it was a house" I said, glaring at him.

Gulping, he said "I...I thought you would scold me for buying a mansion so I...I didn't tell you."

I narrowed my eyes at him when I heard a chuckling sound.

I looked in front to see the driver hiding his smile.

Shaking my head, I came out of the car and saw a manly figure followed by a feminine figure approaching us.

Akash immediately got out of the car and hugged him.

"Hey bhai. I missed you" he said.

"I missed you too" Adarsh said and hugged him back.

Breaking the hug, Adarsh looked at me and said "oh my my, Siya."

Coming towards me, he took my hands and kissed my knuckles, making me blush.

"Oh my god, what do I do with your blushing cheeks" he said and pinched my cheeks to which I pouted.

"Stop flirting with her" Akash glared at him and snaked his arms around my waist, making me shiver.

Well, it's not my fault because his touch still send shiver down my spine.

"I am not flirting, Akash. She's just like a little sister to me" he said.

It was true, with Adarsh I always felt brotherly and protective vibes and his little gestures are I think the reason why girls die to date him but he has been single since like...forever.

"Adarsh sir, don't startle her" I heard a voice and when I looked in the direction, I saw Sophia giving him a glare and then she turned to me with a smile.

"Oh my god, Siya, how are you" she said and hugged me.

"I am fine" I said, hugging her back.

Breaking the hug she dragged me with her saying "come, let's go. I am so excited to be here."

When I looked back at Adarsh and Akash, they both were scowling which made me laugh.

"Sophia, don't you think we should wait for them as well?" I asked, turning to her.

"Nah, they'll come on their own" she said, dismissing me and I laughed again.

Oh god. She is heck of a girl.

How did the chapter come out?

So did you all like the banter between Akash and Siya? Just like they used to do before.

So Sophia and Siya will try to get on boy's nerve, I think.

Finally they are in London and a lot of revelation will be done in front of Siya, here.
