Hey my lovely readers.

How are you all?

Are you all enjoying the book so far?

Let's begin with the chapter now.

Siya's POV

Though I had agreed to come with him, I was a little skeptical if I would be able to face so many people.

Moreover, nobody knows about me being here.

I was feeling a bit restless as I don't know if I was ready to face new people or not but then what Akash had once said to me struck my mind.

'You shouldn't think about what people say. That will slow down your progress' he had said.

I know, someday or the other, we've to let go off our fears, our insecurities but, was I really ready to face these many people, again?

I don't know, who should I talk to?

Though Kriti and Akash are there with me but...I wanted someone elder to talk to.

I had the sudden urge to talk to Akash's mom. I know she would always support me.

But how would I contact her? I don't even have a phone.

I didn't want to ask Akash or Kriti for their phones but then something struck me.

I could always call her on skype, right?

I remember her vaguely telling me that she did have a skype account and I added her in my list.

Opening my skype, I called her and the call was picked in just three rings but I was expecting it to be his mother instead Adarsh picked up the call.

"Hey my beautiful angel, how're you?" he said, as soon as he picked up the call.

I blushed at his compliment but then said "how're you?"

"Oh I got to see such a beautiful face today, now my day would be perfect" he said and I just blushed.

"Stop flirting" I said.

"Complimenting a beauty isn't flirting, my dear" he said.

I was so thankful to him that whatever happened between me and Akash never affected my equation with Adarsh.

He had always been a charmer, I knew it or why would girls be after him? Even Aman uncle's business partner wanted their daughters to get married to him but I still don't know...what's stopping him?

I knew that even Akash had got many proposals from their business associates when we were together in office but he had straight away denied them and how do I know about it?

His mom and I used to chat a lot and she used to make fun of these proposals and always used to say "my son has already got a gem. Why would he go for those plastic dolls?"

She used to hate those girls because they all had a habit of showing off and Akash's mom, simply hated it.

"How's your work going?" I asked him.

"It's all good. Oh by the way, why is my brother stealing my secretary?" he asked and I furrowed my eyes in confusion.

"But he already has a secretary, why would he want Sophia?" I asked.

"Yup he already has a secretary but he has asked Sophia to accompany him to London with you" he said.

"London?" I asked all confused.

"Yup, your lover didn't tell you this?" he asked.

"He...he isn't my lover" I said and looked away.

I don't know why but I am sure my cheeks must have been pink by now.

Gasping, he said "did you both get married? Don't tell me he is your husband now. Why didn't you invite us?"

"What? No!! We...we didn't marry yet" I said quickly, looking at him.

"Oh thank god" he said, sighing.

"You're such a drama queen" I said, smiling.

"I am happy that you're smiling. Do you even know, how your smile can kill millions of boys?" he said.

"This smile is of no use, Adarsh. It didn't help in taking my family out of humiliation when I was left at altar...unmarried" I said.

"I am so glad you didn't get married to that fucker or I wouldn't have a chance of talking to such a pretty girl today" he said.

I know my face was glowing like before and I think Adarsh sensed it.

"You should be glad Siya, that you didn't get married to him. He wasn't worth you, Siya" he said.

"But, still" I said but he cut me off.

"Siya, if you're thinking about your prestige and reputation then you shouldn't think about it. Always remember, prestige, reputation is never bigger than somebody's life. Just think about it, had you been married to that fucker and he had got to know about you and Akash later, do you think he would've taken your side?" he asked and I was tongue tied.

"Whatever happened, happened for good, Siya. Just think about your life if you would've married him. He would never stand for you. He was a coward" he said.

"Even Akash, didn't stand for me" I whispered and a tear rolled down my cheek.

"That was because he didn't want you to get separated from your family, Siya. No matter how your family treated you, he had this feeling that if he leaves you, may be your mother would've treated you the way you always wanted" he said.

"He knew, how much you craved it, Siya and when he saw a hope that you could get what you've always wanted from her, he thought of sacrificing his love for it but he never knew that your mother wouldn't even appreciate the fact that you let your love go, for her" he said.

"I know you feel that he was wrong, Siya. His decision was wrong, I agree but believe me, his intentions have never been wrong for you" he said.

My eyes welled up with tears.

"Oh...who's it" I heard Akash's mom's voice and I immediately wiped my tears.

"Siya" Adarsh said and handed the phone to her.

"Oh my baby, how're you?" she asked.

"I am fine...mom" I said and her eyes widened.

"Uhhh...finally you're calling me mom. Tell me, how's New York treating you?" she asked.

"It's a nice place" I said.

"Did you go anywhere?" she asked.

"No, I didn't and about that, mom, I wanted to...discuss something" I said, hesitantly.

"Of course, my dear, tell me, what is it?" she asked with a smile.

"Akash is asking me to accompany with him to office, tomorrow. There's a deal they're signing" I said.

"Oh wow...that's good. Do you want to go?" she asked.

"I...I want to mom but...I don't know if I can face new people" I said.

"Oh my dear, you can. What's stopping you?" she asked.

"Wh..what if they start judging me?" I asked.

"My dear, nobody there knows you and moreover, there's nobody who would judge you" she said.

"I know, you're scared if they start passing you judgmental comments, right?" she asked and I nodded.

"That's a completely new place, Siya. Nobody knows you. You can start your life there and nobody would say anything to you. I am sure Akash will always want you to do what you desire" she said.

"He...he actually helped me in a part time job of being an editor" I said.

"And are you liking it?" she asked.

"I...I always wanted to di it, mom" I said.

"Oh...wow that's good, Siya" mom said.

"And is he treating you well?" he asked.

"Yes...he made a library for me" I said.

"Oh wow...my son is sure a love sick puppy for you" she said.

"Mom" I whined and she just laughed.

"No seriously Siya. He always used to say that he would support you in your every dream and I am glad, he has started doing it" she said with a bright smile.

"You...You think I can face the people in his office?" I asked, hesitantly.

"Of course, you can. You're smart, intelligent and moreover why would anyone degrade you? You're well qualified and carry yourself well. Aren't these qualities enough to face the world?" she asked.

I bit my lips.

"Just don't think much, beta. Go with the flow. Everything will be alright and besides, you need to start from somewhere and now I think, is the right time" she said.

"Thank you, mom" I said and smiled.

"You're always welcome, my baby" she said and gave me a flying kiss.

I just chuckled and bidding our goodbyes, disconnected the call.

Maybe, meeting new people wouldn't be that bad, after all.

Akash's POV

I was having a video call with my aunt and mom when mom told me that Siya had called her.

I was so happy that Siya at least talked to her because I know, she must have felt good.

Mom still doesn't know that Siya has told me that she doesn't wish to marry me anymore and I don't intend to share it with her as well, it would break her heart.

I was now happily chatting with my aunt and Adarsh.

"Aunty, how do you apply oil to Adarsh's head?" I asked, out of the blue.

"You want me to show you?" she asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Yes" I said and Adarsh groaned.

"Not today yar bhai, please" he said and we both laughed.

"Please Adarsh" I said, giving him my puppy eyes.

"Okay" he said sighing and went to grab the herbal oil which my aunt prepares at home. She had also given me two bottles of it to apply it on my hair but...I didn't use it yet because I don't like to apply oil on my hair or anyone else and my whole family was well aware of it.

I am planning to use it today.

She then demonstrated me how to apply it on hair when I said "how do we apply it on long hair?"

They both looked at me and narrowed their eyes at me.

"Are you going to apply it on Siya?" Adarsh asked and I rubbed the back of my neck, nervously.

"Ye..yeah, I was thinking so" I said, not meeting their gaze.

"But you never apply it. You don't like it, right?" Adarsh asked.

"So what? There's always a first time" I said and he wiggled his eyebrows, teasing me.

"Okay now enough, I need to go" I said and once they were done teasing me to their heart's content, I disconnected the call.

Mumbling to myself, I took out the oil and went to Siya's room.

Gently knocking on it, I saw her still engrossed in typing something on her laptop.

"Come in" she said and I went inside her room.

I sat beside her on the bed and watched her typing something furiously with a cute frown on her face while keeping her forefinger and thumb on her chin and concentrating on something that I had no idea about.

"Do you need any help?" I asked.

"No, I am almost done" she said but her eyes were still stuck to the screen.

After around ten minutes, she switched off her laptop and stretched her arms over her head resulting her top to slide up revealing her naval and smooth stomach.

My mind again went to the perverted thoughts that I always have for her but then I reminded myself that we still have differences and I should stay in my limits.

Stifling a yawn, she said "you aren't asleep yet."

"No, actually I just wanted to check on you if you're fine" I said and kept the bottle of oil on the nightstand.

"Yeah, I am fine, just a little tired. I am not used to working for long hours" she said and I nodded.

"Do..do you want me to apply oil on your hair?" I asked skeptically.

"You and oil?" she asked me weirdly.

"Ye..yeah" I said, nervously.

"You never used to apply oil to my hair neither to yours. What happened now?" she asked.

"Uh...actually my aunt had sent me this oil and said that it's good for relaxing. Since it was your first day of work today, I thought it would help you release your stress" I said.

She looked at me for good two minutes and I looked down.

Maybe this was a bad idea.

When she didn't say anything for sometime, I looked up and saw that she's still staring at me.

"Okay then, I should go" I said, sighing and stood up but she caught my wrist.

When I looked at her, she said "I didn't ask you to go."

"I...I thought you didn't want me to apply oil to your hair" I said, sitting on the bed beside her again.

She gave me a faint smile and turned around, opening her hair.

Her soft, long hair which was still in a bun cascaded through her shoulders till her waist and I was so glad, she didn't chop her hair off.

I loved her long hair.

I started applying oil as per the instructions by aunt and I felt her moaning softly.

I closed my eyes because of the sensation her soft moan was causing me.

"Since when did you start applying oil? As far as I remember, you hated to even touch it" she asked after few seconds.

Massaging her scalp with my fingers I said "since today."

She immediately turned around and looked at me.

"What happened? Am I applying it wrong?" I asked, furrowing my eyes in confusion.

"You never did it before, no matter how many times I asked you to" she said.

"Well, I thought you needed it now so" I said and trailed off.

Her eyes welled up with tears and I wiped them away.

"Come on now Siya. It's not a big deal" I said and turned her face to the front so that I could apply oil again.

After few seconds, she said "Adarsh told me that we'll be going to London in few days?"

My hands stopped massaging her scalp and I said "yeah...actually we had a plan to open up a new branch in London even before I brought you here."

She was silent for a few seconds and then I turned her around.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Nothing" she said and looked down.

"Don't you want to go?" I asked, tilting her head by keeping my forefinger and thumb on her chin.

I couldn't tell her about Deepak uncle's sessions. My main reason of shifting there was her sessions and not the branch opening but I couldn't possibly tell her about it.

I already had a word with Kriti regarding it and had asked her to accompany us to London but then she said that Siya wanted someone else to be her friend, not Kriti.

Siya didn't need Kriti, though she was upset with her but she wanted someone new who she could confine to.

That's why I had asked Adarsh to let Sophia come to London for few months.

Moreover, Kriti had said that in case Siya needs her, she would fly to London in a heartbeat but as per her, Siya needed someone as of now who didn't break her heart and broke her trust and I could only trust Sophia with Siya.

Hence I made all these arrangements without letting her know and I just hope it works.

"What about my work?" she asked.

"You can still work from there and anyways, Jannet's fiancé will help you on video call if needed" I said, tugging a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

She nodded and I asked her "do you want Kriti to go with you?"

"No" she said and looked away.

She was still disappointed with her.

So Kriti was right.

"If you don't want to go, we can cancel the plan, not an issue" I said.

"No, that's fine. I should start adapting to new environment and besides you or Kriti will always not be there beside me" she said.

Her statement broke my heart but what could I expect from her, it was all my fault.

"Yeah, we'll not be always there for you" I mumbled and looked away.

I didn't know when tears welled up in my eyes.

"You should sleep" I said and walked out of the room with the bottle of oil in my hands and by the time I was out of her room, tears were freely making it's way to my cheeks.
