Hey my lovely readers.

How are you all?

Are you all enjoying the book so far?

Just a random thought. What kind of videos do you like to watch? I would really like to know.

My personal favorite is ok tested. God the quiz, their cook off challenge is lit. Those who haven't seen the videos yet, please do watch it on youtube. You'll definitely die laughing.

Also, please suggest me some romantic books. Your author is running out of books to read on weekends ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

The song above has such deep lyrics. It's dedicated to all my lovelies.

The song will make you realize that you are all just beautiful the way you're and you don't need to change yourself for anyone, no matter how dear the person is to you.

Hope it makes your day.

Let's begin with the chapter now.

Akash's POV

After her father left, me and mom dad were alone.

"When are you planning to take her with you?" mom asked.

"As soon as her VISA is approved" I said, looking at her now sleeping form.

"Dad, she isn't comfortable with lights. I think I'll have to take the jet" I said, looking at him.

"Of course son, it's nothing to ask at all" he said.

"When do you think the VISA will be approved?" I asked.

"Let's apply for it now and I'll try to get it approved by tomorrow" he said.

"Okay" I said and took my laptop from my bag.

Once I applied for it online, I provided all the details to dad.

"You should sleep, son. You look tired" he said.

"I am fine dad" I said, still looking at Siya.

I saw him gesturing at mom and then kissing my forehead and bidding me goodbye, she went to her room.

"Come, let's talk" he said and stood up from the couch.

We both went to the balcony and stood beside each other.

The gentle cold wind was caressing my cheeks but it wasn't able to calm my heart which was still in distress knowing the damage that had been caused to my love and that was all because of me.

I was lost in my thoughts when I saw a cigarette in front of me and when I looked up, I saw dad was giving me one.

"No dad" I said.

"Come on son, I know you smoke. Don't be shy" he said.

Hesitatingly I took the cigarette from his hands and lit it up.

The burning sensation caused my throat to dry but then I was too lost in my thoughts.

"What's bothering you?" he asked, lighting up a cigarette and taking a puff from it.

Dragging a long smoke, I said "I...I don't know if I'll be able to help her cure or not."

It was true, though I wanted to take her away from her parents for her betterment, I wasn't sure if it would be good or bad for her but I had decided something.

If for her treatment I had to make civil conversation with her mother and bring her with me, I would do it, without any second thoughts.

I despise her, with all my heart but anything for my Siya.

"You didn't understand yet, did you?" he asked, taking a drag himself and then looked back at me.

"What?" I asked, looking at him, confused and took a last drag from my cigarette before crushing it under my shoes.

"I know you're still unsure of your decision to take her alone, with you" he said and I smiled.

"How do you know me so well dad?" I asked him.

"I am your father" he said and crushed the now extinguished cigarette under his shoes.

I chuckled and he smiled.

"What if she needs her family?" I asked him.

"If her family would've been her cure, wouldn't she be fine by now?" he asked and I pondered over what he said.

He is actually right.

She was there with them but her condition worsened.

"She needs you, more than anyone else to overcome her depression and I am sure, you can help her" he said, patting my back.

"What if she needs her parents as well?" I asked.

"If she needs them, you can always call them" he said.

I was still skeptical about it and I think he noticed my confused state.

Chuckling, he said "we're still not sure who she actually needs by her side, you, her family or both."

"Then what do you suggest dad?" I asked him.

"Why don't you try talking to her? Take her to US, she'll meet Sid and Kriti there. There'll be a change of atmosphere for her. There wouldn't be anyone whom she knows. You can figure it out there. In case you feel that she needs her parents, we can talk to them then" he said.

I smiled and said "do you know dad, you're the best."

"It's all experience, son. Someday you'll also be talking to your son like I am talking right now" he said and patted my back.

"What if.." I was saying but he cut me off "don't think about anything negative Akash. I've always taught you to think positive. Whenever there is any if and but involved, you start thinking about the negative repercussions of your actions and I don't want you to think anything that could falter your confidence, especially when it's related to that innocent girl sleeping over there" he said, gesturing through his chin to look at my Siya.

I looked at her sleeping form and said "you adore her a lot, don't you?"

"Yes, very much. Do you know why?" he asked and I shook my head looking at him.

"That's because she's very much like your mother. The same innocence, the same maturity when it comes to sensitive topics. Like your mom is the perfect life partner for me, Siya is perfect life partner for you" he said.

I smiled and said "do you know something, dad?"

"What?" he asked, looking at me.

"When our pictures were leaked and you asked me to take care of it, I thought you would never approve of Siya. I was scared actually, what if you had deny our relationship?" I said.

Chuckling, he said "the reason I asked you to take care of it alone was because I wanted you to take responsibility of your actions. No doubt your mother and I had arranged marriage but the best feeling was when I fell for her, not because she was a beauty but because she took care of me, my brother, supported us through all thick and thin when we were trying to make big names for ourselves."

"Siya, more or less has the same nature as your mother. Forgiving, kind, taking care of others even when she's in pain that's why I fell for your mother and I can understand why you fell for Siya" he said.

"I am proud of you for falling in love with such a beautiful soul like her and today you've made me even more proud when you're ready to take her responsibility when she needs you" he said with a small smile.

Then I saw his eyebrows furrowing and I asked him "what happened, dad?"

"Akash, sometimes you need to take tough decisions, be it in business or personal life where you need to choose between your morals and what is right. What would you do in such case?" he asked.

"Am I being tested, dad?" I asked with a smile.

"Kind of" he said and shrugged.

"I think I'll choose to do what is right" I said, after thinking for a bit.

"Okay, why not morals?" he asked.

"That's because sometimes morals can be bent to do what's right" I said.

"Then why didn't you choose Siya that day when we met with her parents to discuss about marriage?" he asked.

I didn't have answer to it.

He smiled and said "that's because you were stuck between choosing your moral or what's right, isn't it?"

I nodded and looked down.

"You do understand what I am trying to imply, right?" he asked me.

"Yes dad, I should've chosen Siya" I said, sighing

"I think you should've" he said.

"But wouldn't that be like, taking her away from her family?" I asked.

"Yes but I am sure they would've come around and even if they wouldn't, Siya or anybody for that matter doesn't need parents like them who are too stubborn to see what their actions could cause their children" he said.

"It's high time people should stop being stubborn when it comes to these beliefs and try to understand and prioritize their children instead of prioritizing society and relatives" he said.

"You think I did wrong?" I asked.

"In a way, yes. Abiding by morals is fine but only to an extent that it doesn't hurt any innocent soul. The moment you know your morals can hurt someone innocent, bend it. There's nothing wrong in doing something which could actually bring smile to someone's face, even when you've to go against morals. Trust me, it works both in business and personal life" he said.

"I now understand it, dad" I said.

"I am glad you do" he said, patting my shoulder.

Then something important struck me.

"Dad, I tried to find some good psychiatrist on the net in the US but I am not sure who to contact" I said.

"Weren't you supposed to move to London in a month or so?" he asked.

"Yes, we had planned to open one of our branch there but looking at her, I don't think it'll be possible" I said.

"Why not?" he asked.

"She has all her friends in the US. If we move to London, wouldn't that affect her? I mean I would be busy with expansion and she wouldn't have anybody around her" I said.

"But you yourself said that Sid has limited time to prove himself and you know how important this London branch is for both of you" he said.

"Moreover, her treatment can be best done in London" he said.

"You remember Deepak Singhania right?" he asked.

"Yes, Deepak uncle, how can I forget. He was the one who took care of me when I met with an accident back when I was in college" I said.

(Readers who don't remember, please refer chapter 7-Her care for him. Akash was admitted in the hospital and Deepak Singhania was his guardian there. Deepak and Aman, Akash's father are childhood friends.)

"Yes. Well he retired from his practice a few months ago and fortunately he's settled now in London with his son and daughter-in-law" he said.

"So you want me to consult Singhania uncle for Siya?" I asked.

"Of course, yes. You already know that he's the best psychiatrist and was the head of Indian Psychiatric Society for many years. His research work has actually helped a lot of his fellow doctors in their practice. I can't find any reason not to consult him" he said.

"Well you've a point, dad. Moreover Siya has already met him. Probably that'll help uncle with her treatment" I said.

"We can just hope for it, son" he said, sighing.

"But dad, since he has retired, is it wise for us to disturb him? I mean, retirement is to enjoy with your loved ones. Would it be nice if we ask him to treat Siya?" I asked.

"He's my childhood friend, Akash. Of course he has to help me. Moreover he owes me for helping him get married. Now is the payback time" he said, evilly while rubbing his palms.

"Dad" I said and laughed.

"What?" he asked shrugging.

I just shook my head at him.

Turning to Siya, and looking at her sleeping form, I asked him "do you think I deserve her?"

"Why do you ask this?" he asked.

"I don't know dad, since the time I am in her life, she has gone through a lot and it all started with our leaked pictures. If not for me, our pictures would've never got leaked and may be she wouldn't have to go through all the torture that her mother inflicted on her" I said.

When I looked at him, he was already staring back at me.

"If not for the pictures, her marriage wouldn't have been cancelled. She wouldn't be humiliated again, after years" I said.

"Can you imagine your life without her?" he asked.

"No dad, I can't" I whispered with tears.

Wiping my tears, he said "everything happens for a reason son. The pictures were a mistake, even I agree to it but you know what the best part about it was?"

I shook my head.

Keeping his hands on my shoulder, he said "we all got to know about her mother. Do you think if not for the pictures, we would ever get to know to what extent she could go to torture her daughter?"

"But if she would come to know about our relationship through me or Siya, that would've been better" I said.

"Yes and even then she would've tortured her because she has a mindset of her own. It doesn't matter where she would've got to know about it, her mind was always clear to keep you both apart" he said.

I nodded.

"The pictures made you responsible enough that you didn't back out. It was the first time you took stand for your mistake which was on such a large scale. It made you responsible, son. Your actions back then to protect Siya was enough to let me know that you've been carved into a good man" he said.

"Don't ever doubt that you don't deserve her. You both need each other. I still remember the day when we met her parents for the first time and you denied getting married to her because her parents weren't agreeing to it. She had cried like a baby was being snatched from her mother. Wasn't it enough to let you know how much she loves and needs you?" he asked.

"Take care of her, I know you will but she needs more care than before" he said.

"Anyways I think I should go now. Your mom must be waiting for me" he said patting my back and giving one last glance to Siya, went away.

"Mark, you should also go now. Today was a hectic day for you as well" I said, turning to him who was seated on the chair, looking tired.

"Thank you, sir. Good night" he said and went away.

I made my way to her bed and sat beside her, keeping my head on the headboard for support.

Stroking her hair, I was lost in my thoughts when sleep engulfed me.

I was woken up with a jolt when I felt someone shaking me.

Looking up, I saw mom who had a smile on her face and she whispered "good morning."

I looked at her confused when she gestured me to look on my left.

Siya was sleeping peacefully with her head on my chest with a cute pout on her face.

She's so adorable.

"Mom" I said but she shushed me.

"Don't talk loudly, she'll wake up" she whispered again looking at Siya and I obliged.

Taking her head gently in my hand, I kept it on the pillow and came out of the bed.

"Mom, I am sorry. I...I don't know when my eyes dozed off while stroking her hair yesterday. I didn't mean to sleep beside her. Please I..I" I felt so nervous.

What would mom think about me that I was sleeping with her when she's not well and that too before marriage.

Doesn't matter how understanding my parents are, few things should be taken care of as it doesn't look appropriate when parents are around and moreover, Siya is the one who used to say that we should behave in front of my parents.

Suddenly mom started laughing, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"What happened, mom?" I asked her.

"Ju..just look at your face" she said in between her laughter.

"Mom, it's not funny" I said.

"Yeah yeah, I know as if this is the first time you're sleeping with her" she said and I looked away.

"Look son, today's generation doesn't believe in remaining celibate before marriage and I don't object it at all. It is their life, their choice and you're shying away like you haven't done the deed yet with her" she said, rolling her eyes.

My cheeks must've definitely been pink by now as I could feel blood rushing through my veins.

She suddenly gasped and said "you didn't do the deed yet?"

I shook my head and looked down.

"Owww....my baby boy is so cute" she said in a baby voice and pinched my cheeks.

"Mom" I whined and she laughed.

"What happened?" we suddenly heard dad's voice.

"Nothing. Your son is still a celibate" she said like reading weather report.

"Mom" I shreiked and she laughed.

"Really Akash? You're still a...virgin?" dad asked.

"Yes dad" I said.

I swear to god I've never had such an embarrassing communication with my parents ever.

I was feeling so shy.

"Hmmm. Whether you want to do the deed before or after marriage is up to you and Siya but please use protection. I don't want to be a grandfather so soon" he said, sitting on the couch.

"Dad" I whined and sat on the couch beside him.

"No need to be shy son. We don't live in eighteenth century where talking about sex was considered a taboo. We all are from twenty first century. Talking about sex with your parents should be normal so that they don't make mistakes and regret later" he said.

"Yeah, I agree" I said.

"Anyways, freshen up so that we could discuss what needs to be done about the VISA" he said and I nodded.
