Adam held his beloved's brown hair between his palms as she jerked back and forth regurgitating the poison that had made her sick. Her soft cries of pain made his heart hurt with pain and sympathy for the poor girl. The poor girl that did not deserve to be poisoned.

He gently ran his hands over her fragile body as she fell back to his arms, whimpering in pain as she did between each emptying of the poison.

Her shaking form made him want nothing more than to console her and grant her peace of mind. His fingers drew small circles on her skin, gently trying to keep her calm as she sobbed in pain and discomfort.

She had decided she wanted to throw up in the bathroom rather than in the bowl considering how shaky she was and how the vomit had accidentally ended up on the bed once or twice, which had lead to her being taken to his room whilst the maids cleaned her room.

What was even worse than his beloved's pitiful state was that he had yet to find the perpetrator, whoever got her into her state deserved to be punished. He would torture them, he would make them pay for possibly endangering the life of his Queen, the soon to be Queen of Lycans. In his eyes his beloved was delicate and fragile. He firmly believed that she needed him to protect her and whoever had harmed her had to be punished by him, her protector.

"Ad-am," she whispered weak, her body continuing it's trembling as she lay pained against him.

"It's all going to be fine my perfect one," he assured her.

"I-I don't feel good," she said.

"I know-"

He was interrupted by her lurching forward and he quickly rolled her body forward, seating her on her knees by the bowl as he took her hair and leaned over her, caressing her back with his free hand.

She violently emptied her stomach again and he could see the violet and dark blue traces in it. Her breaths were hard and heavy as she panted, exhausted.

"My poor little beloved," he muttered kissing the top of her head.

He did not expect a sweet little giggle to leave her lips as he kissed her head. He drew her back into his arms and began to plant feather light kisses all over her head and some on her neck making her squeal and giggle in delight. He smiled as he distracted her from the pain caused by her poisoning. If he could not find the vile person who would do such a thing to his innocent mate, who had no part in anything, the least he could do was ease her pain.

"Stop it!" She laughed, trying to get out of his arms as he playfully kissed her.

"Nope," he said spinning her around and he froze at the sight of her smiling lips.

"Ad-am. Not feeling-"

The next thing Sara knew she had vomited on him as well as herself and she crawled back, apologising over and over again.

"I do not care Sara. Seize your apologies, I care not about this situation. I only care for your well being," he said grabbing her.

"Ew! No don't hug me when you're full of-"

"But you are as well," he said.

"But-"

"Just let me hold you kitten," he said gently as he stared into her eyes.

She slowly leaned in transfixed by his eyes but jerked away at the revolting stench.

"How about a shower first?" She suggested.

"Why do you want to watch a show?" He asked perplexed.

"A sho-wer," she spelled out.

"A shower, as in someone who shows things? That is weird and why would you want that," he asked.

"Wait there are no sho- I meant bath. Sorry," she shyly corrected herself.

"A bath may be good. Would I be allowed to bathe you my beautiful beloved? We are to be wed after all and I see no reason i should not care for my sweet kitten," he said.

"N-no. I can bath myself honestly, " she said.

"You can't even stand. You're still weak from the poison even if your stomach seems to be improving. Why won't you just allow me the pleasure of caring for you like I should? I should be the one to bathe you and look after you but you deny me. I have tried my best!-"

"S-stop shouting please," she whispered.

He glanced at her and saw her fear from his words. He had not realized that he had been shouting at the girl.

"I'm sorry Sara. I'll get the servants to run you a bath and tend to you," he said before running out to calm himself.

He did not want to revert to his old self, the one that hurt her and chased her away. She was not like other ladies and he had to accept that but it was hard for him with the society he had been raised in.
