You both stood there, neither one of you saying anything.

Aizawa was dressed in smart clothes, not his usual black jumpsuit. He wore black pants, a white shirt tucked in with a black tie. He was wearing a blazer too. His hair was tied up, showing his face off clearly, he'd even neatened up his stubble.

"Y.. you look nice.." he muttered.

"And you don't look homeless." You responded.

He laughed at you, shaking his head lightly. He brought a hand up to rub the back of his neck as he looked around.

"Any idea what's going on?" He asked.

"No. Midnight asked me earlier this week to meet her here."

"So did Hizashi..."

Both of you stared at each other before you came to the realisation of what had happened.

"It's a set up." You both said.

"I'm gonna kick their asses..." you grumbled.

Aizawa chuckled again, walking closer as he looked around. He stood next to you, he wasn't slouching as much, and you saw he was actually taller than he looked.

"Do you remember this place?" He asked.

"Yeah, I dragged you here, right?"

"Yeah, you did. We wrote something."

He began to looked around while you did the same.

"Hey, look, here's yours." You called.

You knelt down, seeing he old slip of paper. He joined you looking down at you.

"Hey this one looks like your writing too."

Carefully, you lifted it a little to read it aloud.

"I hope you can forgive me (Y/N). I know I really hurt you, that was a huge mistake. I never meant to harm you. If fate is real, I pray it will bring you back and we can meet again."

You let it drop from your fingers.

"There's one more..." he spoke quietly.

You looked next to it, and sure enough, there was another one with his hand writing in it.

"Read it." He mumbled.

"(Y/N), if you're reading this, I just want to know that I promise I'll wait a thousand lifetimes for you to trust me again."

You let that one fall as well, you stayed there in shock. You didn't react at first, then you slowly stood up, turning around to face him.

"You wouldn't remember for that long."

"I'd make sure I did."

"Why? What if I didn't remember you? Or you couldn't find me?"

He smiled, shrugging his shoulders a little as he tilted his head to the now mostly dark sky.

"I'd spend every lifetime trying to find you. If you didn't remember me, then I'd spend every waking minute trying to win you over."

"Why?" You asked quietly.

He turned his head to face you, he was still smiling.

"There's something I've been meaning to tell you for a long time now. I love you (Y/N). I have ever since we met at that park. Now I'm ready to lay my heart on the line, I'm going to speak from my sound because I don't want to keep running from this anymore."

Your eyes widened at the confession, his smile never left, but he turned his head to face the floor instead.

"The moment I laid eyes on you it was like the whole world stopped, your smile was so bright it took the darkness away for awhile. Every time you laughed it felt like the sun had made itself inside for a while, it was warm feeling, even if I wasn't the one making you laugh."

Aizawa reached up, he unclasped the necklace around his neck, and he opened the locket, handing it over to you. Inside, a picture of you and him from a photo booth. What you didn't see then, you saw now. He was looking right at you, smiling.

"I loved your innocence, and I hate myself for hurting you. You see, I was used to heartbreak, I was scared something would happen to you so I tried to protect you, but instead I hurt you."

Tears started to build up in your eyes as he carried on talking.

"I can go on for days about the things I love about you, from your smile, your laugh, your quirk, your name, your touch, you just being there, there's so much. I want to be the guy who holds you after a long day, the guy who makes you laugh when your side and wipes your tears away, I want to be the guy that sweeps you from your feet, the guy who's name makes you smile."

He took a small breath, and lowered his hand, the locket dangling from his hand.

"I tried to ignore it, but I couldn't go in seeing you as just a friend, so I started to distance myself from you. I understand you've got kids, and you're with Jet, but I decided to tell you. I can't hold it in any longer, i can't go on pretending I don't love, I can't go in holding this in. I want you to know, I'd walk with you to the end of the world if you asked me to..."

Everything went quiet, tears were streaming down your face at his words, the last final rays of sunlight hit the earth.

"I've always been drawn to you, like we've been bound by fate. Even though it will never happen, I'm just glad I could at least understand what it's like to love someone, even if they don't love me..."

Aizawa didn't dare look up as he turned around, his back no facing you as he begun to leave
