Aizawa had woken up before you, the smell of disinfect stinging his nose as he grumbled, he could feel the bandages all over his body.

Looking around, he saw a curtain dividing him and he next bed.

"Please wake up..." a soft voice muttered.

"Don't worry bro! She will, mums strong remember." Another came.

"I'm sorry boys, visiting time is over."

There was movement and Aizawa watched as the two students came around the curtain, followed by a taller Male. He gave you one last looked and a sigh as he led them out the room.

Aizawa waited before getting up, heading over to your boy. He was still in pain, but not much.

You had bandages around your wrist, and from your neck down. There were stitches across your lip and eyebrow making him frown.

He walked over, sitting on the chair by your bed, he looked over you.

"Hey! Where'd he go?!" A woman yelled.

She rushed around, finally finding Aizawa she sighed in relief, walking over to him with a frown.

"You shouldn't be up Mr Aizawa, please return to your bed."

He never said anything, she watched him look at you and nodded her head, sliding the curtain open, pulling his bed a bit closer.

"Here, it's the best I can do for you sir. Please get back into bed."

This time he complied, silently getting back into the bed, his eyes fixed on the ceiling.

"We have to keep you for another day for observations, but after that you can go home. Is there anyone we can call?"

"UA..." he muttered.

She nodded and scurried off, leaving him there. It was quiet, except for the talking outside, the beeping of monitors and your slow breathing.

He closed his eyes, remembering your face as he tried to protect you. There was blood on your skin, a gash across your lip and eyebrow. Your (E/C) eyes gazing up at him in fear and worry.

He sighed, taking another glance at you before closing his eyes again.

The next morning came, and he was allowed to leave. Hizashi has brought him clothes and helped him change.

"Ready?" Hizashj asked.

"No."

Aizawa walked over to your bed and stood in front of you. He watched to hold your hand, but with his bandages he couldn't.

The door slid open and closed. Both heroes turned to face Gabriel, he walked over and sat down next to your bed.

"Shouldn't you be at school kiddo?" Hizashi asked.

Aizawa looked to Hizashi and he nodded leaving the pair alone. Aizawa stayed quiet for a little bit, trying to figure out what to say before finally sighing.

"You should be in class, I could give you detention right now for skipping."

"Okay."

"I won't, I understand you're worried about her, but she'd want you to go to school right?"

Gabriel shrugged a little.

"I can't go to school..."

"Why?"

"Jessie isn't feeling well... and mum isn't there... I don't like being alone..."

Aizawa nodded in understanding, thinking for a moment. He'd seen how nervous Gabriel was, and how you helped him through it. He wanted to help you, so he knew he had to help the boy too. He knew he should stay off, but he had an idea.

"What about me? I'll go with you. You can eat your lunch with me in the teachers lounge."

Gabriel debated this, looking between you and Aizawa. He wanted to be a hero, he didn't like skipping class. But it was hard being there alone, so at his teachers proposal he felt conflicted.

"We can come back after school."

At this Gabriel nodded, standing up, he kissed your head before bouncing on the balls of his feet.

Aizawa watched him debate something, the shuffled a little closer. Gabriel reached out, grabbing the fabric of his jumpsuit softly.

"Ready?" Aizawa asked.

Gabriel nodded, and they left, heading to UA instead.

As they made it in, they saw Jessie running up the stairs.

"Hey!" Hizashi yelled, making Jessie freeze in place.

"Hey Present mic... Aizawa sirs..." he grinned sheepishly.

Gabriel peaked out from behind Aizawa making Jessie rushes down, bringing his brother in for a hug.

"I thought you were sick." Aizawa grumbled.

"False alarm. Gabe was gone when it passed I thought he was already here."

"No, he was at the hospital."

With that, the two students rushed off followed by the teachers.

The sports festival was announced, and they could train for the time until it arrived. While students rushed away, Gabriel stayed at his desk with his brother, Izuku, Uraraka and Iida.

"Don't you want to train?" Uraraka asked softly, "it's Good chance to get scouted by heroes."

"Surely you don't want to miss a great opportunity?!" Iida asked next.

"No... I don't want to take part..."

"I don't think that's an option bro."

Gabriel placed his head on the table, the other three looked around in concern.

"He doesn't have to take part." Aizawa yawned.

Everyone jumped, spinning to face him.

"I thought it was mandatory?" Iida said confused.

"And I say he doesn't have to take part, now, go train. All four of you."

Jessie ruffles his brothers hair, leaving with the others.

Gabriel didn't look up, he sat there bouncing his legs as he closed his eyes.

"Let's go kid."

Gabriel jumped, getting up, he headed over to his teacher, lightly grasping the jumpsuit once more as the headed to the canteen knowing it would be empty
