Cassie took the next day off in order to tell her mother the truth. She had no idea how she was going to do that though.
   After Breakfast that day, she went inside to check her mother's medicines to make sure she had taken them.
     Back in the sitting room, Evelyn heard the door bell ring. Thinking it was Claire visiting, as she hadn't invited anyone, she opened the door only to find a familiar looking man standing at her door.
    "Hello sir, how may I help you?"
Calvin bowed with respect and said.
"Good day ma'am. I am Cassie's boss and I came to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage."
  Evelyn was shocked at first, then a huge smile formed on her lips. She remembered the man. He had caught her daughter when she nearly fell at the beach.
   "O come in sir, come in." She said ushering him with all eagerness.
"Please call me Calvin ma'am. It's only proper you did that considering my purpose for being here." Calvin said sitting down.
   Evelyn called;
"Cassie, Cassie you a visitor. One you know quite well."
Cassie rushed towards the sitting room thinking it was Claire
"O Claire, you..."
  She stopped talking immediately she saw Calvin. What was he doing here now? She asked herself. As she was about to speak, Calvin got up, walked towards her, snakes him arm around her waist drawing her towards him. He kissed the top of her forehead and said
   "Good morning sweetheart. I just came to tell your mother that we're getting married and guess what ?" He leaned into her ear and said loud enough for her mother to hear.
  "What?" She asked not aware of what's going on around her.
  "Well, I guess she's happy about it."
"Will you guys stop with all these chitchat, we have to start the wedding preparations." Evelyn said with a smile on her face.
"Mum, don't get the wrong id...."
"Sweetie, you're finally getting married, I want your wedding to be perfect. And we should start the preparations today, because I don't want anything to go wrong." Evelyn said cutting Cassie off.
  "But......"
  "No but's Cassie, quick go get me a pen and a sheet of paper. Oh I almost forgot, I need to inform Flora about this good news." Evelyn said as she walked upstairs to get her phone.
   Calvin was trilled by the drama happening in front of his eyes. It was as if he was in a cinema. The only thing missing was the popcorn. Cassie stared at Mr. Carter with anger. He was annoying.
  "Oh Cassie, you no longer know how to entertain your guest." Evelyn said as she was coming down from the stairs.
   Cassie was tired of her mom's drama. She was too excited about the wedding. It broke her heart that the marriage is not based on love. She walked into the kitchen and made black coffee for Mr. Carter just the way he liked it. She walked back to him and gave him the coffee. Calvin smiled at her.

After 30 minutes, she finally convinced Mr. Carter to leave. As she escorted him to the door. He turned around and said;
  "Ms. Wilson, I've finally told your mother we are getting married. So there is nothing stopping us from starting the wedding preparations."
  "Well, you could have at least let me tell her myself."
  "And, when were you going to do that?" He said.
  "Sometime soon." She said.
   "Well, no need to worry yourself, I've already told her." He said smiling.
  "Ok, have a good day sir." She said closing the door in his face.
  She was about to walk back to the sitting room, when she heard the door bell ring. "Oh my goodness" she thought. Mr. Carter was getting on her nerves. She opened the door, already prepared to pour out her anger on Mr. Carter.
   "Congratulations." Claire screamed.
   And Cassie thought
    "Oh no!"
