All the females were getting their mehendi done by the professional henna artists, in the hall. Some ladies were singing various traditional songs in a corner.

Jai, Praneet and other guys were feeding their girls since their hands were covered with henna. Tia was sadly looking at the couples.

"Where is Arjun.... I am having a stomach ache from hunger!" she whined to herself.

After a while, she saw Arjun walking down the stairs, buckling his watch. She got excited and was about to wave at him but stopped.

"Not like this.... I should show some resentment," she smiled mischievously.

She looked around and saw Yohan talking with some other guys.

"Yohan!" Tia called out.

"Yes, Tia?" he came to her.

Arjun had reached the hall and was nearby her, looking around.

"Actually, I am very hungry," she said loudly for Arjun to hear, "Can you please bring some food for me?" she made a puppy face at him.

Arjun noticed it and was watching them with narrowed eyes. Tia was keeping an eye on him with the corner of her eyes.

"Yes, surely! I will bring it right away."

The awestruck lover boy went happily because he was unaware of what was actually happening. According to him, his love wanted something for him and he could do anything for her.

After Yohan left, Arjun's eyes met with Tia's and she just rolled her eyes.

"Awww. Thank you so much, Yo," Tia thanked Yohan with fake excitement when he came back with food.

Arjun saw this and took one step towards them, which made Tia excited thinking that her plan worked.

"Arjun!" Tejaswini came up to Arjun, stopping him on the way.

"Yes?"

"My throat is very dry. Can you bring water for me, please?" she showed her two hands covered with henna.

Arjun looked at Tia's way, nodded and went away.

"Thank you so much, Arjun!" Tejaswini winked at Tia.

Tia frowned and fumed.

At night, it was the wedding. Tia and Gayatri was walking down the stairs with Priya, the bride. Jai and Praneet couldn't help but stare at their girls. Actually all the attendees were watching them walk down, except for Arjun. He was busy instructing the manager, which obviously didn't go well with Tia.

Soon after, the wedding had begun. Now it was almost at its end.

"Arjun. Did you see Praneet's shoes?" whispered Jai.

"Shoes...." Arjun turned to the spot where Praneet had left his shoes and found it empty.

"We lost the shoes...." Jai sighed.

Arjun scanned the hall but couldn't find Tia anywhere.

"I will look for it."

Arjun was searching all the rooms in the second floor. Tia hid the shoes behind her back, when he entered the last room.

"Rani-sa? You here?"

"Hmm.... yes, so? Can't I come here?" she retorted taking very slow steps backward.

"No, you can. But what are you doing? The wedding is almost over," he replied taking steps forward in the same pace as hers.

"I....I was just..." she blabbered.

"Actually, Rani-sa....it's good that we met here. I had something very important to talk to you about," he had almost reached her.

"Go ahead," but she didn't stop taking steps backward.

"That... I wanted to talk to you about....what happened yesterday at night."

"Say," her back had collided with the wall.

"Actually..." he was dangerously near her now.

"Arjun, whatever you want to say, say quickly. Don't irritate me!" she tried to shove him away.

"Rani-sa..." he untied her hair, making it fall on her face and shoulder.

"Arjun? What are you doing?" she was trying hard to resist him.

"I am just trying to talk to you," he gently remove a strand of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear with one hand, and held her in the arm with another, looking straight into her eyes.

Due to the dangerous nearness of him, she gulped hard. She immediately looked in the other direction seeing him lean towards her. He lifted her chin with his other hand and made her look into his eyes again. In few seconds, she was completely lost in his eyes. She didn't know when time passed until Arjun's lips curved into a smirk. Finally she could sense something wrong when she saw him backing away, maintaining the smirk.

"Thank you, Rani-sa," he showed her the shoes in his hands and was walking out, "We will meet downstairs."

On understanding the trick he played, she got furious. She held his arm and pushed him against the wall beside the door.

"The work once started, shouldn't be left unfinished," she smirked.

Before he could react, she had smashed her lips on his. She left him only after snatching the shoes from his hand.

"Thank you, Raja-sa," she winked at him before leaving.

He was shocked to the core. It took him a while to compose himself.

Arjun reached downstairs and found that the wedding had already concluded. Now, the bride's gang were demanding for money in exchange of the shoes.

"Arjun! Come here. What did you do? You couldn't keep the shoes safely!" Jai scolded.

Arjun reached there and his eyes met with her. She winked again, making him uncomfortable.

"One minute, bhai-sa. What is this?" Gayatri wiped something from the corner of his lips.

"Looks like lipstick, doesn't it?" Payal suspected.

"Ahem ahem!" Gayatri teased looking at ArIa.

Everyone laughed while Tia blushed and Arjun got super embarrassed. Yohan frowned, Jai and Tejaswini looked at each other.

Next day

Arjun walked downstairs and found Tia instructing some staff about something.

"Rani-sa."

"You guys can leave. I will explain the other works later," Tia dismissed the staff and turned to him.

"I have to talk to you. Hume aapse baat karni thi. You slept early yesterday and woke up early as well."

"Then talk now. What do you have to say?"

"Yaar, we just got married yesterday and you are sending us away today!" Priya came whining to Tia, interrupting Arjun.

"You must be the first bride of the world who doesn't want to go on honeymoon!"

"I want to go, but couldn't we go a few days later?"

"I don't want anymore discussion on this topic. Go and get ready!" Tia said strictly.

"Okay, fine!" Priya rolled her eyes and left.

"So, I was saying...." Arjun started again.

"Arjun, you don't need to say anything. It's fine, everything's fine. Don't worry," she cupped his face.

He stared at her for a moment and continued calmly, "How can you be so calm? I didn't even give any explanation."

"Because I know you and I trust you. Calm down, Raja-sa," she said softly with a smile.

Instinctively, he smiled back and she left.

After a while, everyone was gathered in the main hall. Some staff were taking the luggages to the car.

"Take care," Arjun wished PriNeet and gave Praneet a hug.

Then PriNeet touched Maharaj's feet and Priya hugged Tia. Jai too took Maharaj's blessings and hugged Arjun. After hugging Gayatri, Tejaswini came to hug Tia.

"What happened, Rajkumari-jee? You are going back so quickly?" Tia whispered for only them to hear.

"I am leaving for now but I will definitely back, Rani-sa. Don't think this as my defeat," Tejaswini challenged back.

They broke the hug and gave each other challenging smiles.

"Teju, let's go," Jai said.

Tejaswini nodded and went to Arjun, "It was nice meeting you after so many years. Hopefully we will meet again in the future."

Arjun didn't show any emotion, just nodded. Priya-Praneet and Jai-Tejaswini left for their respective destinations.

I have some news for you guys.

I just sorted out the story till the end and I discovered that only 10-12 chapters are left. I am so excited yet sad. This will be the first book which I will complete completely! And this is my favorite book. So I am havingmixed feelings. Anyways, don't be sad. Enjoy the story till it lasts.
