Caesar sat in the seat patiently waiting for the detective to enter his confessions room. He already was sick and didn't even want to go to the mall but Jada thought that some fresh air would help him a little bit. Sadly, getting into this mess, Caesar felt worse.

Entering the confessions room, the detective looks over at the sickly Jamaican.

"Michael Caesar?" He asks, looking at his file. Caesar sniffs and nods. "You don't really look too good, Mr. Caesar. Everything okay?"

"I got a cold," Caesar says, "my girl thought since I've been in the house all week that getting out was what I needed but apparently, I should've kept my ass at home."

"I see. Do you need anything before we start?"

"Some tissue and water would be nice."

The detective nods, looking at the mirror like wall (which other officers could see from the other side) and looked back at Caesar.

"While my associates are getting that for you, I'd like to ask you about tonight. Who exactly were you with?"

"It was me, my girl Jada, her brothers Huey and Riley, and their girlfriends Jazmine and Cindy."

"And you all planned on going to the mall?"

"It was really somethin Jazzy and Cindy wanted to do, but everyone ended up agreeing to it."

"Did anyone not want to go?"

Someone walks in with some Kleenex and a bottle of water, handing it to Caesar.

"Thank you," he says, blowing his nose before looking back at the detective. "Huey didn't. He isn't one that likes going to the mall but Jazmine begged him and he eventually caved in."

"Oh okay. So then what happened that led up to you all getting arrested?"

"The mall was about to close and Riley thought it would be cool to stay after hours and spend the night there since he saw it in a movie."

"And no one opposed?"

"You fuckin kiddin me?! We all told his dumb ass nah, but he so stubborn, he ended up makin us all stay."

"Then what happened?"

"It was some dudes trynna steal from the mall and we didn't want nun to get stolen, so we decided to stop them."

"Stop them how?"

"Well, seeing that they had guns and were big ass dudes, Riley didn't want anyone to die so he suggested that me, Cindy, and Jazmine get to safety while Jada and Huey fended them off."

"Why did you all select Jada and Huey?" The detective asks.

"If you've seen Jada and Huey fight, you'd know that they could handle anyone."

The detective nods, leaving his room. He takes a deep breath before going into the next room. He heard about this one.

Handcuffed to her chair, Jada sat in the confession room more irritated than anything.

"Ms. Freeman?" The detective asks, coming in.

"Depends on who's asking," Jada replies.

The detective looks at the small girl. Jada was fairly small to have to be handcuffed.

"Why are you handcuffed, Ms. Freeman?"

"I punched one of your men for trying to cop a feel."

The detectives eyes widened. It made sense though. One of his men did have a black eye.

"Very well then," the detective sits down in front of her.

"Is my boyfriend okay?" Jada suddenly asks.

"I'm sorry?"

"My boyfriend. Caesar? Is he okay?"

"He is fine, Ms. Freeman. We just gave him on tissue and water."

Jada nods, happy to at least know her boyfriend is okay.

"So, what exactly happened today?"

"I was raised not to snitch," Jada replies. The detective takes a breath,

"Please, Ms. Freeman. The faster you comply, the faster you go home."

"Snitches get stitches," Jada says. "Sorry, random white man. But I ain't snitching."

"Okay, then let's say this. You don't comply now, and you'll get right back to juvie. Says on your record that you've been in the juvenile detention center before."

Jada scowls, giving the detective a look that gave him chills.

"I could also say that I was sexually assaulted by an officer and raped. Pick your poison."

Almost 12 years on the force and the detective couldn't believe this. This girl was really going to ruin his reputation.

"Fine," The detective finally says. "Don't talk. But at least tell me what happened when those men showed."

"What men?"

"The men that were trying to rob the mall."

"Oh, them," Jada gives an eye roll. "There's really not much to tell. You know that they tried to rob the mall and was probably told that my brother and I fought them."

"I've heard. Why were you nominated? You're so small."

"Being small doesn't mean I'm weak," Jada tilts her head towards the handcuffs, "As you can see, I'm far from it."

The detective takes note of that and gets up,

"Thank you for your time, I guess," He says.

"One thing," Jada says before he can leave. "Can you take these off? If I'm going to be trapped in this room, I'd like to be comfortable."
