LARISSA'S POV

It's Sunday and so far the day has been perfect. My mom was feeling happy this morning, we had food in the house, and I had breakfast with Carmen. She surprised me this morning with breakfast. She brought food for my whole family but she set up a quick breakfast for the two of us. I am currently at the grocery store where I heard the most annoying and disgusted voice I ever heard. The voice that gives me a sick feeling in my stomach and that can change everything in my life. Why is he even here? I want nothing to do with him and I have nothing to give him. "Larissa? That is still your name isn't it? I called you like five times." I turned and look at him in disgust. He still with his modern pompadour hairstyle which I used to love and I always love to ran my fingers through it.

But Carmen is hotter and stronger. Not intentionally. He just disgusts me. In a low voice I asked "Why are you here? Jake, you need to leave. Now! We had an agreement." he smirked and walked towards me. "That was so long ago. Can't we forget about the past and start over? Things were so good between us until the baby." How dare he bring that up to me! He think we can start over again! He is more of an idiot then I thought. He left me after he knew I was pregnant with his kid! I went through the pregnancy all alone and nearly died! I had to give up my baby and the stress of it all brought on my mother's illness. "Jake, we may have... had something at one time but that's over now. I am with someone else now and I'm just starting to get my life back. Just go." I pleaded with him.

"You know we are good together Larissa! Who is the new guy? Have you told him about us and our child together? Give us one more chance or I will ruin you." His treats scare me and I have no idea what to say. He obviously won't listen to reason. Maybe he will listen to Carmen's fist. No! I don't want her to know any of this. She will think I'm a whore. This will be a deal breaker for sure and things are just getting good with us. "What will it take for you to leave?" I asked as he stepped even closer. "Just you," my chest starts to tighten. He turns and walks away but if I know him, this isn't over. It's just the beginning...

CARMEN'S POV

She's different. She was not this gloomy on Sunday morning. She's always on alert and paranoid even. Something is way off. And I need to know. "Alright, what's up?" I asked her when I pull the hand brakes when we arrive at school. "Nothing is wrong," she said and smiled. She was about to go out but I grabbed her wrist gently. "Larissa, tell me what's wrong," she put her hand on mine. "I'm fine Carmen," she said and got out of my car. I watched her walked towards the school building when a guy stopped her. I never have seen that guy before. I locked my car and walked towards them. I heard like they were arguing about something. They stopped when I was behind Larissa.

"Go away bitch," he spat venomously. Alright, this early and someone call me a bitch. I took a deep breath and looked at him calmly. "Don't talk to her like that Jake! And go away! You're not supposed to be here!" Larissa yelled at him. He turned his face to meet my Larissa. "Wow, feisty! I like that. You never this out spoken before," before? There's history between them? "Larissa, just give me a chance to be with you. Let me fix my mistake and raise the baby together," Larissa slapped him hard. What baby?! They had a child together? "WE ARE OVER! GET OUT!" Larissa screamed at him. He grabbed Larissa's wrist roughly. "Don't yell at me! You know what I'm capable of doing and you just slapped me!" he said and I noticed Larissa is afraid of his threat.

I grabbed his hand that grabbed Larissa's and squeeze it tightly. "Dude you really need to stop hurting my woman like this," I told him. He smirked at me. "Oh my..." He turned his gaze to Larissa. "You're a dyke now? The sex was that bad you turn to vagina?!" he laughed at my woman. "Dude your laugh makes me sick. Release her," he turned to me. "And what will you do dyke?" I smirked evilly. "I'll make sure you ended up in an ambulance in about 5 minutes if you don't release her," I threatened him. He didn't move, just laughed at me and Larissa. "I'll admit it, you're tall, but look at you, just bones," again he laughed. Larissa tried freeing herself from him. "RELEASE HER!" I screamed. He stopped laughing. "Wow, your woman can scream," "CARMEN!" I heard Catherine yelled for me.

I didn't move I just glared at him. My sisters ran to me when they noticed I was about to lost it. "Boy, release her," Christina said. "Who are you all? Larissa's bodyguard?" his face turns to disgusting smirk. "Jake please stop this, you're hurting me!" Larissa pleaded. She's hurt! I know my anger is uncontrollable now. I swing my free hand and meet his face. He releases her when my fist hit him, my hand still grabbing his and I twisted his arm so that his back meet my front. Thank you Grandpapa for teaching me how to fight! I can feel he's struggling to free himself from my grip so I kicked his legs to make him knelt. "YOU WILL NOT TOUCH MY LARISSA EVER AGAIN! I DON'T CARE WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT YOU ARE! I AM A LAROVE!" I screamed at him. He flinched. His face turns pale when he heard my last name.

I leaned to his ear and whispered. "If I know you disturb my Larissa and her baby again, I swear on my life I will find you, and kill you. I will not stop until your blood is all over my hands. Understood?" he nodded. I released him by pushing his body on the ground. He quickly stood up and ran. I turned my head to see Catherine was holding a crying Larissa. Christina went to the school guards and yell at them for letting some stranger on the school property. I walked towards Catherine and stopped when Larissa turned her head. My heart dropped when her eyes were red and her cheeks were stained with her tears. I knelt and grab her body and hug her tight. She cried harder on my chest. I continue to let her cry on me and when she finally relaxes, "We'll skip school today," I said and turned to see my sisters.

"We'll skip school," my sisters nodded. "Take care of her," Catherine said. "I'll handle the principal," Christina told me. I nodded. I looked at Larissa body and just had the most amazing idea ever. I lift her up bridal style and let her head rest on my shoulder. I can feel her breathing on my neck and I have to admit it send shivers all over my body. I carried her to the car and Catherine opened the door for me. I put her inside and close the door. "Where are you planning to bring her?" Catherine asked me, her tone sounds concerned. "Cassandra's house, that's the place where I always find peace," they both nodded and hug me. "Is Natasha in town?" I asked when I pulled away from the hug. Catherine nodded. I smiled and opened the door to the driver's seat. I looked at Larissa who still crying. I caressed her head before I start my engine and drive towards Cassandra's house. I don't know how to make her feel better. I want her to know I'm always here to protect her. "Whatever happens, I will protect you Larissa," I said while driving. She mumbled a low thank you. I smiled and continue to drive. I promise I will always make my family and hers as my first priority....
