Once back at the palace, the emperor took charge of preparing an honorable funeral for all those who gave their lives while fighting against the Grand Master.

All the deceased were buried in the cemetery of the Imperial Knights, where all the heroes who contributed to bringing peace and serenity within the empire rested.

A few days after the funeral, the royal family visited the cemetery with their friends to reminisce the memories they had with their deceased friends.

Standing in front of each of their graves, Arthur flashed a sad, nostalgic smile as he patted the gravestones gently.

“Each one of you was a hero in his own way... But your purpose was the same... Each of you left a special place in our hearts... You came up with joy in our life and left us with the sorrow... We all lost someone dear by losing you... Whether it's a father, a mother... A brother or a sister... A friend or a lover..."

Emery who was huddled against Elion's arms sobbed silently as she buried her face in his chest to hide her sorrowful sounds.

"But know that you will never be forgotten... You will always remain in our hearts and in our memories... Auvrovaria is once again a healthy and peaceful place to live... And this is thanks to you, my friends... You are our heroes... And we love you very much..."

On these words, each person that was present there put a flower on the grave of the person who was closest to them. The sky began to rain, as if it too mourned the death of these heroes.

Three months passed and summer finally came to invade the empire of Auvrovaria with its soft and warm rays of sunshine and its festive atmosphere. The sky was a beautiful blue while white clouds floated on it.

At the palace, the young captain of the Imperial Army and future emperor of Auvrovaria was sitting in his room, accompanied by his friends while discussing the preparations for his marriage with the young princess.

"I think Luana would prefer that we decorate the great hall with red and white roses. After all, roses are her favorite flowers," suggested the young man, very concentrated with a small notebook and a pen in his hand.

"Yeah, that's a very good idea in my opinion," Elion affirmed, nodding his head.

"There are still too many things to do and little time left...I'm completely stressed out," complained Lucas while rubbing his aching temples.

Seeing him like that, Matthew and Eric couldn't hold back their laughter any longer which surprised the young captain.

"Why are you laughing like that?" he asked in a bored tone.

"Nothing. It's just funny to see you so stressed out about your marriage with the princess. We've never seen you like this. Even when you were planning attacks for our missions, you weren't so stressed out," Eric replied, smiling mischievously.

"I bet you're a thousand times more nervous than the bride herself," Matthew teased, laughing out loud.

This remark made the young captain of the Imperial Army raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm nervous... But not so nervous to the point that I'll cry like a baby in front of all the guests when seeing my bride walk into the great hall in her wedding dress," he teased back.

"It was truly a historic moment. We're not going to forget it anytime soon," Roshua replied with tears in his eyes from laughing.

Indeed, Sir Carter and Azusa got married a month ago just like Eric and Mina. They had decided to organize a wedding together which made the event even more magical.

"No but seriously, Matthew. I still can't believe you cried that much. Luckily, Eric was next to you to calm you down a bit," Elion added, laughing loudly.

"Do you know a word called Emotions, by any chance?" the young man with burgundy hair asked in a bored tone.

"Yeah, of course we know it," Elion answered in an amused tone.

"That's good. Because I'm afraid that for these two, that word doesn't even exist in the dictionary," he added, pointing at Lucas and Eric.

With these words, the young knights burst into laughter as they continued to organize the preparations for the event.

"I can't believe you're finally getting married to Sir Koraxos! I can't wait!" Azusa exclaimed excitedly.

"Me neither... It's just like a dream come true..." confessed the young princess with a small smile on her lips.

The two young girls were sitting on the princess's bed, accompanied by Mina, Emery and Cecilia to, also, discuss the preparations for the wedding day.

"It feels so good to finally be able to breathe a little bit... All these battles and war have really upset us..." Mina said.

"It's so true, yeah. But I'm glad that it's all over now," Cecilia affirmed.

"Me too. I'm also very happy that each one of us is happily married with the man of her dreams," Azusa replied dreamily.

"Yeah... Speaking of which, I have something to tell you, girls. It's very important for me," Emery began.

"What is it, Emery? You really made me curious now," Luana asked impatiently.

The young girl heaved a long sigh before flashing them a very big smile.

"I just found out that I'm pregnant," she announced.

The eyes of the young girls widened in surprise before the latters started pushing small cries of joy.

"Oh my god! Congratulations, Emery! I'm so happy for you, Honey!" congratulated the young princess, embracing her friend very tightly in her arms.

"Congratulations, Sweetie! How long has it been?" Azusa asked curiously.

"It's been exactly two months. The doctor had checked me yesterday, as I had been very nauseous lately, and she announced the news to me."

"That's so cute! I can't wait to be an aunty!" Cecilia exclaimed in happiness.

"Oh yeah! Me too! Did you tell the news to Elion, already?" Mina asked

"Yeah, of course! He almost cried when he found out he was going to be a dad," she answered with a giggle.

"That's so cute," Luana said softly.

At that moment, someone knocked on the bedroom's door which made the girls stop talking.

"Come in," ordered the young princess.

It was Arthur who entered the room while carrying a large packet on his hands with another small one on top.

Seeing him, the young girls rose up hastily to bow to him.

"No, sit down, my girls. I just came to deliver a package to Luana," he said with a very big smile.

"What is it, Dad?" asked the latter, curiously.

"It's your mom's wedding dress, Honey. I saved it for the day you will get married. And this day finally arrive. It's still brand new," he replied with a nostalgic smile.

Hearing these words, the young girl felt tears welling up in her eyes before hugging her father very tightly.

"Thank you very much, Dad... This is the best wedding present I could ever receive..." she whispered.

"I hope you'll like it," he said, stroking her head affectionately.

"Of course I'm going to like it! After all, mom had such an amazing taste in clothes!"

"That's right... Oh! That's not all! I brought you something else too," he added.

The emperor took the small package and opened it to find inside of it a beautiful silver choker necklace with a very large blue colored gemstone in the middle, and matching earrings.

Luana gasped and lost all words when she saw those beautiful jewels.

"They are very beautiful... Thank you very much, Dad..." she whispered before hugging her father again.

"You're welcome, Sweetie... I chose them on purpose to match the tiara Lucas had chosen for you for the coronation ceremony," he replied, smiling.

"You two are truly one of the best things that have happened to me in my life... I love you so much..." she said gratefully.

"We love you too, Luana... Madly..."

The wedding day arrived and everyone gathered at the palace. In the great hall, stood the young captain of the Imperial Army, dressed in his official outfit which was white in color and decorated with gold and silver details with a pair of black boots. His hair was very elegantly styled too.

The great hall was beautifully decorated with flowers and roses everywhere and chairs that were covered with white silk that guests sat on.

In front of the future emperor, stood Duke Lobelia who, as always, acted as an officiant. Lucas waited impatiently for his bride to come, continuing to stare at the front door.

After a few minutes of waiting, the latter was opened to let in the young bride who was accompanied by her father and little Susan who was a little bit ahead of them while carrying a small basket of rose petals that she threw on the way.

The young princess was lovely with her beautiful princess-style wedding dress with pretty silk sleeves and beautiful embroidered details on her skirt. Her hair was styled a pretty braid that was decorated with small white pearls. As for her bouquet of flowers, it consisted of red and white roses.

Looking at her closely, Arthur couldn't help but see Isadora again. Their resemblance was obvious. At that moment, Arthur had an explosion of emotions and felt tears welling up in his eyes. He wiped them off as best and as fast as he could before his daughter noticed them.

Seeing his condition, Luana gave him a reassuring smile while the latter kissed her forehead before taking her to her groom who was waiting for her impatiently. After that, he took his place next to Angus and Edgar.

The young girl stood in front of the captain of the Imperial Army with a very in-love expression on her face which the young man displayed in return while looking at her intensely.

"We all gathered on this beautiful day to celebrate together the union of His Highness, Prince Lucas Koraxos Alphelos and Her Highness, Princess Luana Aubretia," Angus said, a very big smile on his face.

The duke turned his head towards the young man.

"Your Highness, Lucas Koraxos Alphelos, do you take Her Highness, Luana Aubretia as your wife and promise to love and cherish her until death do you apart?" he asked.

"Yeah, I want to and I promise," he replied instantly.

With these words, Angus turned to the young bride in turn.

"Your Highness, Luana Aubretia, do you take His Highness, Lucas Koraxos Alphelos as your husband and promise to love and cherish him until death do you apart?" he asked again.

"Yeah. I accept..." answered the latter with red cheeks.

"By the sacred bonds of marriage, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

With these words, Lucas lifted the veil of his beloved slowly before approaching her and putting a kiss on her forehead before kissing her passionately to the warm applauses of the guests and their friends.

After that, the young couple advanced towards the emperor who was waiting for them in front of the two thrones with Gardner next to him who carried a small chest which contained the emperor's crown and the empress' tiara.

“On this wonderful day, I declare that from now on, Lucas Koraxos Alphelos and Luana Alphelos are the new emperor and empress of Auvrovaria,” Arthur declared with a very big smile under the warm applauses of the guests.

With these words, he took the crown that was in the chest and placed it on the head of the young man who had bowed before him, before doing the same with Luana by placing the pretty tiara on her head.

After that, the young couple took each other's hand before moving forward and sitting on their thrones. Lucas approached his beloved's hand to his lips before kissing its back.

"Long live the Emperor and Empress Alphelos!" exclaimed the guests out of joy.

Lucas gave his wife a loving look before whispering in her ear.

"I promise to love and cherish you forever, My Angel... I will forever be your faithful servitor... Your knight... Your bodyguard..."

"Me too, My Love... I promise to love you forever..." she replied with a very big smile on her lips.
