"Okay. Love you too, Appa." I end the call to see Jimin looking at me.

"He still seems okay?" He asks, getting up from his stool to stretch.

"Hmm." I respond, throwing my phone on the couch to my left. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"Honestly I'm down with cereal."

"I'll make it." I say with a disheartened voice.

He puts his hand on my arm, the warmth so strong I feel it through my sweater. "Sit down." He pushes me down. "I'll do it." He gets out two bowls and gives me a pointed look as he pours milk into the empty bowls.

"What are you doing?!" I ask, mortified, sadness temporarily forgotten.

"Making cereal?" He asks, raising a brow in confusion.

"NO!" I run around the island and push him to the side. Hurriedly, I attempt to put the milk from the bowls back into the milk carton, spilling some of it in the process.

"Don't tell me you're gonna cry now?" He asks with a smug smile. I give him a look before pouring the milk from the other bowl.

"You never put the milk in first, unless you want your cereal soggy and drowning. You put in cereal and then milk so that the majority of the cereal is on top and therefore-" I give him an encouraging look, asking him to finish. His silence tells me to do it for him. "it'll get soggy slower." I finish.

He chuckles. "I'm glad you're out of your funk, Kyung Mi." He then takes his bowl and sits on the 4-seater table.

"Wha-" I follow him, exasperated look on my face to match how I'm feeling. "You did it wrong on purpose! To make me focus on something else!"

He gives a sly smile before changing the subject. "Anyway, I heard from the officers that In Su has been surprisingly well behaved since the last time we saw him."

"That's concerning," I say, picking up his tone. "because that means they're planning something?"

"Yeah, it's even more confirmation of what we thought. If the Sparked Mafia needed him, he would've already figured out a way to break out. His job is done." He says, gritting his teeth. "And if you think about it, all he did was make us mad and get our head in loops about his and the Sparked Mafia's purpose."

"Maybe you should get in touch with your agency, let them know the situation. Maybe they could provide insight? At the very least, they'll be prepared to give backup in case we're ever in a situation where we'd need some."

He shakes his head and takes a sip of water. "They're always prepared to give backup. Besides, I've been giving them updates about our situation."

"Really?" I crunch down a bite of corn pops as I consider what he just said. "They don't know anything we don't?"

"Well, I was the only one that ever worked for the Sparked Mafia, so I know the most things about them." He clears his throat. "That's kinda why I was assigned to you."

I look at him, confused. His hair bounces down on his forehead as he leans in. "You know, there's a system to how bodyguards are given. I wasn't just hired for you cuz I'm hot." He winks and I look away, blushing.

"But I thought my dad chose you. Because of your reputation as a bodyguard."

"Everyone at Westover Co. has a reputation as a bodyguard." He smiles. "But it would be cool if I had the best one."

"But Appa said you're the best bodyguard in Seoul-"

"Marketing technique." He winks at me before bringing his empty bowl and glass to the sink.

I noticed Jimin walked extra close to me when we were taking a walk to the park. I'd needed fresh air after the constant thinking of my attackers, and it was obvious he'd tried to cover up his hesitance when I told him so.

I know he's paranoid, but he shouldn't be spreading that to me. I shiver.

"You cold?" He asks, looking at me. Not with your warm ass literally one inch away from me.

I shake my head at him and smile. Idiot. Stay away from me or it's going to be harder to get over you.

"Let's sit at that café for a sec." He says, and before I can respond, he pulls my arm and makes us sit in an outside eating area of a small shop.

Is he getting something to warm me up- He immediately pulls out his phone. Ugh, typical men, glued to their phone when they're alone with you.

"Namjoon will meet us here in about ten minutes." He says after a few moments.

"Why, you suddenly feel the urge to hang with one of your bros?" I spit at him saltily.

"Woah, what's with the sudden attitude?" He chuckles. "I just need to talk about our whole situation to someone."

"I thought you were already filling in your agency about it."

"I am, but I need a fresh perspective. You know, from an outsider. Besides, the guy's a genius."

"And you miss him?"

"Well, sure." He grins, then waves over a waitress. "She'll have a caramel macchiato and I'd like an espresso, please."

"How'd you know I like those?" I ask dubiously.

"Becuase that's what you ordered when we had coffee with Dong Yoo that one time."

"You remembered?"

He shrugs nonchalantly and gives me a half-smile.

He remembered.
