The Newborn Baby

Shinsou Hayato, does it sound strange? [Name] spent almost a month to think of a name for her son. When she asked her husband, he simply answered "What about Shouta?" He and his admiration for his former mentor. Why don't he have a kid with his mentor, then.

Little Hayato opened his purple eyes and yawned cutely. He was just moved into his own crib from the hospital. Shinsou stared at his son as he toss and turn on his bed.

"Does he look like me?" Shinsou asked.

"He's the exact copy of you. It's cute." [Name] answered.

"I am not cute, [Name]." Shinsou stated.

Hayato stared at his father for a moment. He squinted his eyes, as if he was disgusted, and turned his face away.

"... I wonder why I felt hurt by that gesture." Shinsou mumbled.

"Whatever. I'm tired. I'm taking a nap."

"I'm the one who delivered the baby and you're the one who's tired?" [Name] pouted as she watched her husband slipping into the covers.

"At least help me do the laundries, will you? There are piles of them because you- Ugh, never mind."

[Name] sighed as Shinsou's soft snores were heard.

The New Parents

Shinsou was sitting on the couch, changing the channels on TV to find something good. He stopped at a news about villains and his eyes were glued at the screen.

He was too focused to the point he didn't notice someone crying from his bedroom. His wife was out buying foods so he was supposed to look after Hayato.

Even when the door opened and his wife speaking to him, he didn't budge. [Name] glared at him and walked into their room, closing the door as hard as she could and that finally gained Shinsou's attention.

"[Name], are you back?" He asked but no one responded.

After the news finished, he walked toward his room and opened the door. He saw his wife holding his son, cradling him to sleep. He noticed that his son's face was wet and flushed red.

"What happened to him?" Shinsou asked.

[Name] simply glared at him, ignoring him.

Not realizing what his mistake and afraid of angering her more, Shinsou stood in silence, looking down on the floors like a kitten being disciplined.

Kindergarten

"Did you forget anything?" [Name] asked and the purple haired boy shook her head. Shinsou noticed some of his friends from high school and he waved at them.

Hayato didn't forget to kiss his mother's cheeks before he walk into the school. Waving at his parents, he turned around and immediately bumped into a wall.

"H-Hayato, watch out..." [Name] muttered with worry.

Hayato waved his hands at her, telling her not to worry. He finally walked into the school gate and he was almost sent flying by a kid twice bigger than him. Again, he waved at his parents, who were watching him restlessly.

"I think he lacks sleep." Shinsou said.

Two girls suddenly approached Hayato and introduced themselves to him.

"Oh? It looks like Hayato's making friend already." [Name] said.

"No, they're hitting on him. A hundred percent hitting on him, no doubt." Shinsou mumbled as he watched the girls following his son everywhere.

The Child

Hayato is literally a mix of his father and mother. He has quite a pretty face for a boy, there's a fairly high chance that he will be a heartthrob among the girls in the future.

He has his mother's face, a masculine one at that. He has purple hair and purple sharp eyes. He kind off emits the same exhausted aura like his father.

His father always tells him to take a nap and not to stay up late. His father doesn't want him to have eye bags and this affects his skin, his skin is smooth and bright.

He's very quiet and doesn't express himself often. Sometimes even his mother doesn't know what he's thinking. But worry not, Shinsou always understands him even if he doesn't say anything.

Unlike his mother, Hayato doesn't have any difficulties talking to a stranger and making friends. He's quite sociable, but some tends to avoid him because he looks unfriendly, he doesn't blame his father for it though.

This kid always looks uninterested at anything, but he does have a very soft spot for his parents and cats.

Supermarket

Hayato's eyes shone brightly as he stared at the food stall. Pancake, pie, sandwich, there were various pastries displayed inside.

"Hayato, do you want to eat cake?" [Name] asked.

"Can I?"

How could [Name] deny those eyes?

The two shared a slice of cake before they return to their shopping. Holding his mother's hand, Hayato looked around the department store in amazement. He doesn't go out to this kind of place often.

The two walked together to the bookstore, searching for their husband/father. [Name] saw him standing in front of the shelf, eyes scanning through the pages of a book.

Smiling at how cute he looks, she took a step toward him but Hayato didn't follow. [Name] looked down at him and let out a small chuckle.

"You two are really alike!" She exclaimed as Hayato stared at the tower of books, his favorite things.

Essay

"Um..." Hayato hesitated for a bit, looking at his parents's face from the audience. They were cheering him up, uh, actually [Name] was cheering him up and Shinsou simply stared at him.

"So... Mom is... very kind." Hayato slowly smiled at his writings. "She has the most gentle voice and smile ever. Well, to me she's just like an angel. I really love her."

"Dad is a quiet man. He's always either sleeping or reading. But sometimes, he plays with me and it's very fun. Even though it may not look like it to public's eye, but to me he's the best hero." Hayato grinned.

"I.. love them!"

Sounds of 'aww' echoed through the auditorium. [Name] was smiling widely and Shinsou was scratching his neck.

'Maybe I should try to talk with him more...' He said to himself.

Tears

Hayato was walking around the house. He accidentally tripped over the mat and fell face first to the floors. He helped himself up, looking at his scraped knees. His face was also throbbing.

His vision became blurry and he sobbed. He held his breath and clutched his fists, trying to held in his tears. He bit his lips as his body trembled.

Hayato turned his head toward the kitchen, where his mother should've been. There she was, staring behind the walls with worry on her face. She was simply touched by Hayato trying not to cry.

"... Mom..." Hayato muttered and finally let out his tears.

[Name] rushed toward him and hugged him as he wailed on her neck.

"Now, now, Hayato should be more careful when walking from now on. Mom will also look out for you, okay?" Hayato nodded while crying.

[Name] turned her head to her husband, who was reading a book on the couch.

"You." Shinsou flinched.

"How come you don't even turn your head when Hayato fell down?" [Name] glared at him and Shinsou gulped.

From then on, Shinsou always pays attention to his son first before engrossing himself with his activities.

How did you meet mommy

"Dad, how did you meet mom?" Hayato asked as he looked up from his father's laps.

Shinsou turned his attention from the TV toward his son.

"We were both in the library committee so we get along well in high school." Shinsou answered.

"But, mom is very shy and dad is quiet. How did you two get along well?" Hayato tilted his head.

"Huh, I wonder how..." Shinsou also tilted his head, trying to remember how he met his wife.

"Oh!" He exclaimed and Hayato blinked in surprise.

"She was the librarian and whenever I borrowed a book, she's the one who wrote my name on the card." Shinsou said.

"She's indeed very shy. If she's not on duty, she would read a book near the window or do her assignments. There's a day when a group of boys pestered her to let them copy her work."

"Did you do something to them?" Hayato asked.

"I used my quirk on them, of course. After that, rumors about me started to spread out." Shinsou said with a smile, ruffling Hayato's hair.

"Everyone avoided you, right? Were you sad because of it?"

Shinsou shook his head, still smiling.

"Why would I? I got to see your mother's smile after all. It's completely worth it."

Where do babies come from

"Dad, I want to ask something." Hayato said.

"Sure. What is it?" Shinsou asked while reading a book.

"But, promise me you won't tell mom that I asked this." Hayato raised his little finger. "Mom said I can't ask this to you, but I'm curious."

Raising his brow, Shinsou closed his book and linked his pinky with Hayato's. "So, what's on little Hayato's mind?"

Hayato stood up on the sofa and whispered beside his father's ear.

"Where do babies come from?"

Shinsou stared at his son for a few seconds. He understood why his wife forbid him to ask this question.

"[Name]'s womb...?" Shinsou answered, but it came out like a question.

"Um, how do you make a baby?"

Shinsou was contemplating on whether to tell his son or not.

"The process... is uh... we... [Name] and I went to the bed and uh, the clothes err... we took off our-"

A hand covered Shinsou's mouth from behind, startling the man. He glanced to the side and there was [Name], face as red as tomato.

"W-what are you trying to tell him?!" She scolded her husband.

"I told you, you cannot ask that kind of question to anyone!" She scolded her son.

Hayato hung his head down, looking like a dejected kitten, and Shinsou returned to his book.

Nightmare

Hayato stared at the ceilings of his room. Tears were falling from his eyes. He wiped them with his hand and stared back at the ceilings. When he blinked, another drop of tears fell down and he wiped it again.

It continued like that until he decided to go to his parents's room. When he left his room, he saw his father still up watching TV.

Shinsou turned his head toward Hayato and he jumped in surprise. He quickly ran and crouched down in front of him.

"What happened?" Shinsou asked, panicking.

"I had a dream." Hayato simply answered.

"The tears won't stop falling, I don't know why." He sniffed.

Shinsou was troubled, he didn't know how he should deal with this.

"Ah, I know."

Shinsou picked Hayato up and walked into his room. [Name] looked up from her book and her eyes popped out from their places.

"Oh my, what happened, Hayato?" She threw her most cherised book away and held her son in her arms.

"Nightmare." Shinsou answered.

Hayato wrapped his arms around [Name]'s neck. Soon enough, he relaxed and fell asleep while hugging her. [Name] carefully patted his back as he slept.

"I knew it's gonna work." Shinsou smiled and [Name] raised her brow.

"Because it always works for me too."

Kidnapped

Hayato stared blankly at the two villains in front of him.

"What should we do? We caught the wrong kid."

"You idiot! How can you mistook him as this brat?!"

Hayato looked up at the clock on the wall. It was time for his nap. He closed her eyes and leaned back on the wall.

"Well, I thought he was Eraserhead's son. They kinda look alike!"

"How do you call that- Damned brat! How can you sleep when you're kidnapped?!"

Hayato jolted in surprise when the villain raised his voice.

"Oh, my dad always tells me to take a nap every day." Hayato said.

"See? They both like to sleep!"

"Shut up, dumbass."

The door opened slowly and the two villains snapped his head toward it. A purple haired man walked in, relaxed.

"Hey, who's kid do you think you're dealing with?" Shinsou asked.

"Huh?!"

That was checkmate. Shinsou brainwashed them to open the window and jumped out from it.

"Come on, Hayato. Time to go home and sleep." Shinsou said, picking his son up.

"Dad, did you kill them?" Hayato asked.

"Nah, it's not a crime. I stopped my quirk just before they fall so technically they jumped on their own consciousness."

Kisses

Shinsou was about to take Hayato to his school when be checked the newspaper.

"Oh... I think I have to go." Shinsou said.

"Hm?" [Name] tilted her head.

"Hero stuff. I'll go get changed first..." Shinsou mumbled and walked into his room. He came out later with a shirt and jeans.

Hayato finished his milk and climbed down from the chair. He looked up and watched his parents talking to each other.

"Let's go, Hayato." Shinsou said.

Before he walked away, he suddenly turned his head toward [Name], only a few centimeters in front of her.

"Um...?" [Name]'s face flushed red. Shinsou furrowed his brows at her.

"... I'm not planning to skip this. I'm covering Hayato's eyes, you know." Shinsou said.

[Name] looked down at Hayato, who was literally clueless as to why his father was covering his eyes.

[Name] tiptoed and pressed her lips lightly against Shinsou's. She quickly took a step back with red face.

"How come it gets shorter every day?" Shinsou sighed.

[Name] was about to say something when he noticed Hayato was staring at her. He pried his father's hand off his eyes earlier. Hayato stared at his mother with his usual shining eyes.

Smiling, [Name] crouched down and kissed Hayato's cheeks.

The boy smiled a million watt.

Injury

Hayato was trembling. His hands shook his mother's body lightly but she didn't wake up.

"Mom?" He asked, eyes brimming tears.

His mother wasn't strong, but she protected him from the villain all by herself and successfully knocked out the villain. But she too, was unconscious.

"Hayato!"

Hayato turned his head around just as someone wrapped his arms around him.

"Thank goodness..." Shinsou breathed out a sigh of relief. He then turned to his wife and checked her.

"[Name]?"

Shinsou held his wife's head in his arms. He lightly tapped her cheeks. She didn't respond, her breaths were getting slower.

"Shit!" Shinsou cursed and carried her in his arms.

"Hayato, let's go! Stay close to me!" Shinsou shouted. Hayato ran closely behind his father.

"M-Mom, please be safe..." Hayato muttered.

[Name], please be safe...

Out Cold

Hayato kept holding his mother's hand. His father was the one who told him to do it.

"If you hold your mother's hand, she'll recover quickly." He said.

Little Hayato believed him and he has been holding her hand for almost three days now. Shinsou himself spent his day working and when he returned, he will sleep on the chair beside [Name]'s bed.

One day, he found Hayato half asleep beside his wife. He picked his son up and let him sleep on his shoulders.

"Have to... hold mom..." Hayato murmured in his sleep.

Shinsou smiled, that was actually a gesture between him and [Name]. When he fainted, [Name] was always there to hold his hand. She'd say with red face that it will help him recover faster.

Shinsou wrapped his hand around [Name]'s.

"Please wake up, [Name]..."

He felt her fingers twitching and he snapped his head toward her. [Name] opened her eyes slowly and glanced over at his husband.

"... Hitoshi..."

How relieved Shinsou was when she called his name. He smiled as he brought her hand to his lips.

"[Name]..."

Okay, so I've wrecked my brain real hard trying to write for him. Please tell me your opinion on this...

When I was working on this, I watched Eyeshield 21 from the beginning and I remembered how much I love Hiruma. Did any of you watch it? Isn't Hiruma cool? Lol.

Anyway, sorry for grammar mistakes and typing errors. Thank you for reading and commenting! As always, your comments really made my day!
