Wyndemere Castle

The door slam echoed throughout the mansion, startling the female seated in the kitchen.

Cautiously, she walked towards the sound. She was taken aback at the sudden appearance of her boyfriend. "Spence! You startled me!" He silently passed her, and she followed him. "What's wrong? What happened?" He shook his head as he grabbed the glass bottle filled with whiskey. "Spence.."

"Esme, I'm not in the mood." He responded bitterly to her concern. "Wow, you know what, I'm going out. Hopefully, when I return, your attitude will be in check."

Esme observed the male before leaving; she bit her lip as she approached the launch; besides his father's disappearance, he had never acted this way about anyone else, except one female he had grown attracted to. "Trina," Esme snarled as she stepped onto the boat.

4500 County Road

Greenfield, New York 12833
Spring Ridge Minimum Security Correctional Center.
6 P.M.

"Good evening Ms. Prince" the guard greeted Esme as she wrote into the log book at Spring Ridge.

"Good Evening" She smiled softly as she passed him and greeted other guards as she made her way to the room she was stationed in. "You know the drill; keep a distance between you and this patient." The guard stated as he closed the door; he spoke softly to himself, "I don't know why they have this intern monitoring a serial killer."

Esme locked the door before approaching the paralyzed male. She squatted down, and the male, who normally stares into nothing, looked into her eyes. "Hello, Father." She smirks, making him subconsciously follow her actions slightly.

She pulled a chair before him and got comfortable as he relaxed his frame. "What's the update?"

Esme's slight smile dropped. "Regarding Nikolas, he still makes the job easier and does all my work for me." Ryan chuckled softly. "I heard he disappeared." She nodded with a devious smile. "I mean, I followed your plan to the letter."

He nodded before continuing, "What about Spencer?" Her frown deepened once again. "Everything was going smoothly until someone came into the picture. Do you know Trina Robinson?"

He blanked out for a bit, thinking of the name he found to be familiar. "She's the daughter of Taggert," Ryan concluded, to which Esme nodded. "She has a lot of power over Spencer; She's a threat." Ryan nodded. "don't worry, darling, I got that under control."

Six Weeks Later

Trina's recovery felt endless since she was confined to her home throughout the process. She studied and completed assignments brought to her by Josslyn to keep her sane from the repetitive routines she performed.

"her majesty has returned! It's been 42 days!" She heard someone exclaim behind her; she smiled softly as she turned around to see Jasper.

"Hi, Jasper." She greeted them, and he approached her with open arms engulfing her in a tight hug. "how are you feeling." He spoke in her hair before she pulled away from their embrace.

She carefully moved her ankle around in circles. "I'm better, cleared to walk again." He nodded. "Do you have any plans after classes?" She ran through her schedule in her mind before shaking her head, answering, "No, nothing important anyways."

His smile grew. "Great. Meet me at Pier 50 at 7 pm." She looked at him funny "That late? Do you know how dark out there be?" He chuckled. "It just got to light up, pretty lady, which is why I'm carrying you there." She blushed softly before nodding and walking away towards Joss and Cam, who appeared from a different class they had to attend earlier.
