I saw my father walk out of the back room of the house.

"What's up champ?" He asked with a goofy smile. For some reason they seemed like they were actually here, and not distant like they usually are.

"Hey dad." I greet shyly. I haven't seen them in so long, it felt kind of odd being around them.

"Crap man, what happened to your leg?" He asks noticing the cast.

"I-I sprained it, but its almost healed." I assure him.

"Well, a-alright then." He looked at me worried.

"Have you seen my guitar by any chance?" He asks looking puzzled.

"O-Oh... right I-I borrowed it for awhile." I speak scanning the room for it. I spotted it leaned up against the end table near the entrance to the house. I picked it up and was about to hand it to him.

"You still play?" He asked smirking. I nod slightly.

"I thought you would've given up on that thing." He continued. My mom came from the other room, looking through her purse.

"Babe, have you seen the keys to the door?" She asked not removing her eyes from the bag.

"Play us something." He spoke as lifted his head. He reached into his pocket and held a some keys out to her. She took the keys and turned her head to me, looking a little confused.

"Y-you want me to play a song?" I ask nervously. He nodded and my mom smiled. They waited for a performance.

(Play the song).

I readied the guitar and began plucking the strings. The song I chose was very special to me. I would usually sing it when I was lonely, It reminded me of Liam and my parents.

My parents looked shocked as my fingers worked their way around the strings of the guitar. I finished the song, slowly looking up to them wearing a sheepish smile.

"Its a good thing you didn't give up on guitar cause you're damn good kid." He speaks still shock. My mom's look changed from shock to joy as she grew a big grin on her face. I shyly rubbed the back of my head. I was happy to be receiving some attention from my parents, It made me feel slightly worth it. My fathers stomach suddenly growled breaking the moment and making my mother giggle.

"Let's go find a place to eat." He spoke to her. She nodded.

"I... I can make you guys something to eat." I say twiddling my fingers "Unless you'd r-rather be alone." I add quickly, realizing they might want to be by themselves

"Y-you cook?" My father asked, a little nervous. I nodded beaming a smile.

"That would be lovely." My mom said, with my father nodding in agreement. For some reason they decided to sit and watch me cook. As I worked in the kitchen they bickered between each other like typical teens. I was extremely motivated in the kitchen knowing my parents were going to be eating my food, something I dreamt for so long. So for this occasion I made my special spaghetti. I plated the meal for us and sat next to them on the open stool. They eyed the dish for awhile.

"It looks good." My father said hesitantly going in for a taste. My mother followed behind. He chewed it for a moment then turned his head to look at me, he had an odd look on his face.

"I-Is, is it okay?" I asks watching them. My mother turned her head to me mimicking the look on dads face.

"Harvey... t-this is amazing. Its probably the best thing I've eaten this past year." My father complimented. My mother shook her head in agreement.

"I... I had no idea our son would grow up to be so talented." My mom looked like she wanted to cry. This time my father nodded. I grew shy at the compliments. We all dug back into our food a moment later. I glanced up at them every so often, swaying my legs back and forth slightly while we finished up our dinner.

"I meant to ask, Harvey, why weren't you here this morning?" My father tilts his head towards me curiously.

"I-I was sleeping over at someone's house." I reply.

"Was it your handsome friend?" I mother asks popping her head from the corner. Now was the time... I felt ready to tell them. I'd like them to accept me for who I really am and not just what they thought of me. I really want them to love me no matter what but I wasn't going to hold my breath, cause I didn't know if they'd be fine with it or not.

"M-Mom, Dad... I'm..." I choke on my words, growing more nervous and suddenly feeling emotional.

"I'm gay..." I finally managed to spit out after a moment of odd silence. I don't know why but tears began streaming from my eyes. I curled up, sitting on the floor to try and hide my pitiful face.

"I don't want you to be anymore disappointed in me, but I don't want to have to lie to you." I sob.

"I-I love you guys so much. I know I was a mistake for you two, I probably ruined your lives, so I don't expect you guys to love me back." I manage to weep out. "I-I just don't want you guys to hate me... I know that's a lot to ask since I've already caused you so much trouble, I just..." I bawl into my lap, unable to hold back a single tear. I felt a pair of slim hands grasp my shoulders. It was my mom. She pulled me into a deep hug and rubbed my shoulders. She didn't know what to say, she sat there for a moment trying to come up with a sentence, It was the same for my dad.

"S-Sweetie, we do love you." She assured, after awhile.

"I have to admit that we weren't ready to be parents when you were born, but we don't regret having you, not even a little. We truly do love you with all our hearts." With that I broke down, crying tears of relief, leaning into her arms. I felt my heart grow much lighter hearing those words.

"I-I'm really sorry we've been so... distant from you, I just... I just assumed you could handle yourself. I thought it would've been okay for me and your mother to get out more since we spent eight years raising you with out doing much." We all sat silent for awhile. I was trying to wrap my head around what he said.

"When I was eight?" I asked a little shocked, was he serious?

"Well... you had your babysitter, and I assumed you would make friends." He replied scratching his cheek. I understand what he meant though, I took away some of their childhood.

"Though... I started worrying when you announced you didn't have any friends before the move." He spoke, a little worried. "I assume you've made plenty over these past couple of years though right?"

"S-sort of, I didn't make my first friend until recently though." I replied. My mothers eyes stared daggers at him.

"I told you he wasn't ready to be left alone!" She shouted standing up from the floor.

He sighed, "I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part.". They bickered like little kids for awhile, I couldn't really judge them though, since I was the one on the floor crying like a baby. After awhile both of them came over and hugged me.

"Don't blame yourself for being born. It was our fault having you before we were ready." She said quietly.

"Plus, having you kept us together, since teenage relationships don't usually last. I don't know what I would do without this man." She continued, making me and my father laughed a bit. It was nice to know how much she loved him.

"I love you too hun.." He said, smiling at her.

"And we both love you." He said as he pulled me into another hug.

"D-Does that mean you guys... accept me?" I hesitantly asked.

"Of course we do." My father spoke, with his smile growing

"We're more hip than the average parents y'know." My mom said in a goofy tone.

"Yeah, we're totally fetch." My father added.

"Stop trying to make fetch happen." My mother said in a valley girl accent. I already had a huge smile on my face but that sent me over the top. I had a feeling they were total movie nuts. They watched me as I broke out into laughter, with smiles spreading across their faces.

"Does that mean the handsome guy here earlier was your boyfriend?" My mom asked, smile now turning into a smirking. I shyly nodded.

"Nice catch." She said trailing the  'a', nudging my side. I sat still, turning a warm cherry color.

"He's still not as handsome as your father though." She winked at him. He blushed a bit then began laughing. My father is pretty handsome though. He's still quite young so he barely has any wrinkles.

We sat on the couch in the living room for awhile, catching up on all of the time we've missed. They admitted to partying a lot. I already knew they weren't only working, cause every time we were on the phone I'd hear club music blasting in the back. Whenever they had a day off they'd go out and party.

It got pretty late so I decided I should head to bed. I said goodnight to my parents and scurried to my bed after taking a quick shower. I laid there thinking, thinking about everything. As I aged my parents seemed to further distance themselves from me. We probably never would have moved if I was sixteen, or maybe even thirteen at the time, now my parents would pretty much travel anywhere around the world. But I now know they love me, which gave me a warm comforting feeling. I didn't have to constantly worry about them wanting to disown me.

I drifted off to sleep thinking about Liam. My life got so much better after he stopped beating me. Cortney is partially to thank for that. I can't believe he actually likes me though. I watched him from a distance for awhile, knowing I would never be with him. Somehow I didn't notice him watching me, I was probably just being dense like usual, or maybe I noticed but kept discarding the possibility.

I woke up early and made a crap ton of break fast and lunch. My parents came down a to the smell of food a little while later.

"Mmm what's this smell." He said walking towards the kitchen.

"Morning mom, morning dad." I grin at them and go back to cooking.

"Since when do you make breakfast?" My mom asked shocked.

"Since forever." I inform. She looked a little sad.

"Sorry... I should have been here more... at least to cook you dinner or breakfast." She wore a look of disappointment.

"N-No I didn't mean it like that." I wave my hands back and forth. This was becoming all too familiar.

"Its not like she can cook anyway. Her eggs taste terrible." My father laughed while in the middle of  his sentence. She pouted and punched his arm.

"Babe, I'm kidding." He smiled, rubbing the area.

"I assure you I know how to cook." She continued to pout. They had me grinning from cheek to cheek. They're so immature.

I heard a car pull up next to the house. Who could it be? My parents walked out of the kitchen to check. My mom peeked through the window and a huge grin popped on her face.

"Harvey, its your lover." She teased. My heart skipped a beat. What's he doing here so early? My father opened the door and greeted him. I saw Liam walk in with a smile on his face. He looked back and forth around the house, probably looking for me. I left the food for awhile to talk to him.

"Hey Liam." I greeted shyly, throwing a quick wave.

"Hey Harvey." He replied, jolting his head to me.

"What are you doing here so early?" I asked him, curiously.

"I thought I'd pick you up for school." He announced walking closer to me.

"What's up with your parents by the way?" He said just loud enough so only I'd hear. I turned to look at them, spotting my mom standing still like a manikin wearing a creepy smile, while my father smirked and folded his arms. They were weirding me out, but I knew why they were acting like this.

"I... I sort of told them were dating." I speak, turning my gaze to the floor.

"Great! I guess I don't have to hold back then huh?" He said before quickly lifting my head and pulling me into a romantic kiss. I was so embarrassed. My mom just ate it up.

"U-uh that's right I have to get back to the food." I hastily announce, trying to escape this situation. I limped back to the kitchen as fast as I could with the uncomfortable cast on my leg. The food started sticking, I made it just in time. I continued with the huge feast cause I had a lot of mouths to feed. I was making eggs, toast, a salad, lasagna and cookies. I really took a liking to Marie's eggs and toast, so I was inspired to cook my own. When I finished making the eggs and toast I packed them in a container and placed it aside. A moment later my mom strode into the kitchen wearing the same look. She nudged me in my side a couple of times.

"Get it son!" She smirked, poking me a couple more times. I pouted at her, extremely embarrassed. Little did she know I've already gotten it. Just thinking back to it made me go full on red.

She clapped her hands together and looked around the kitchen.

"Is there anything I can help with?" she asked turning her head back to me.

"Y-Yeah, if you want to." I shot her a questioning look.

"Sure, where do I start?" She asked looking around the room again. I explained to her what I was making and how I made it. She followed my instructions and began helping. I was ecstatic to be cooking with my mother, it was always a dream of mine, just like it had been cooking for them. I heard Liam talking to my father in the living room. I was hoping everything would go okay, without any fighting, or yelling.

Me and mom finished the food. I hesitantly made my way up to Liam and asked if he was hungry.

"I could eat your food even when I'm stuffed." He said, meaning yes. I got a little excited he would be eating with us. I went back into the kitchen and served four plates of eggs, toast and salad since that's what I made for breakfast, the other meals would be the school lunch. I placed two on the dining counter for my mom and dad then I handed one to Liam. We both decided to eat on the couch in the living room. We took our seats, and dug in. Liam watched me as I ate, which made me very self conscious.

"You're so cute." He smirked at me. I didn't know how to respond so I just shyly went back to eating my food, flustered. He ate his and complimented me for almost every bite he took. I was glad it tasted good. I could hear my parents' mmms and yums from across the room as well. Its been awhile since I ate breakfast at home. I didn't feel like I had much of a reason to.

Liam helped me wash the plates and carried the food to his car, I couldn't imagine carrying all that to school, though I was certainly going to try. After preparing myself for school I hopped into Liam's car and buckled myself. He entered soon after, saying bye to my parents.

"What were you and my father talking about?" I ask as we drove off to school.

"Nothing much, we introduced ourselves, we chatted about sports, work, you." As he said 'you' I could feel my face head up.

"M-Me?" I ask nervously, he nodded with a smile.

"We were just talking about how awesome you are." He clarified. I was so embarrassed I just played with my fingers not speaking a word, I felt his eyes on me which piled onto the effect.
