It was now time for PE. I didn't feel like trying at all... until I found out Liam was going to be there. We all went to the locker room and began changing. I went all the way to the last row of lockers in the locker room to change. I didn't want anyone to see me changing, I was too shy to show my body. I put on my gym shorts, they are blue and ride just above my knees, then I put on a loose white wife beater.

Me, Liam, and six other people sat on the bench. We waited until our names were called to be placed on a team. The ones picking us were the two best basketball players at our school. They've always been close rivals, so neither of them want to lose this match. The one who would be captain of the blue team was Lebbec. He had the brains. The captain of the red team was Chase. He had the brawn.

They did a coin toss to decide who would go first. Lebbec chose tails, while Chase chose heads. It landed on heads and Lebbec swore quite loud, probably knowing he would be stuck with me. He had an noticeable anger problem, but he was still less hot headed than Chase. This time I can at least guarantee I wont be getting in his way.

It was now time for them to select their teammates.

"Liam." Chase called out. He was obviously the first choice, since he's very athletic and very popular.

"Nicholas." Lebbec called out sounding defeated already.

"Gale."

"Marcus."

"Mikey."

"Luke." Yay, I have Luke on my team!

"Sean."

"...Harvey." Lebbec sighs out. Yup, I was called last. Everyone other than Luke who was called to the same team as me (or assumed since I was always the last one chosen) sighed.

My team consisted of "Nicholas", "Marcus, "Luke", "Lebbec", And me. While the other was "Liam", "Gale", "Mikey", "Sean" and "Chase".

"You all know the rules right?" Lebbec said staring directly at me in a dull tone.

"Yes." Everyone sighed while I just nodded. Had I really played that bad for him to think i didn't know the rules? They never even gave me a chance to prove myself when I played. They all just shunned me to the side. That made me lose any motivation I had, so I just never really tried. Today however Liam and Luke are playing so I'll do my best to have fun.

Everyone began warming up. Some were throwing shots at the hoop, others were running, and I was stretching. That was all I needed. I bent back and opened my legs trying to loosen my spine, when I arose I could've sworn Liam had his eyes on me. Maybe I just want to think that. My mind must be playing tricks on me again.

After finishing our warm ups we crowded to the middle of the court getting ready to start the match. We had a little audience for whatever reason. I don't know why anyone would want to waste their time watching such a mediocre match. I was small compared to everyone else so I had a bunch of men towering over me. Now was not the time to be intimidated though.

The coach blew his whistle, throwing the ball into the air which signaled the match to start. Since Lebbec is so tall he managed to nab the ball with a swift swoop, hitting it behind him so someone would reach it. Luke caught it and was quickly surrounded by the opposing team. Nicholas and Lebbec were open for passing if done right. Lebbec gave Luke a signal to throw it to Nicholas and so he did, but it seems Chase already picked up on his plan. Nicholas was now surrounded with even less options than Luke had. Lebbec facepalmed knowing that there was only one option left, and that was pass to me. Lebbec gave the signal to pass it to me most likely giving up on the ball. He just wanted it to end. Chase wasn't able to read the pass, probably cause he didn't think Lebbec was crazy enough to pass it my way. I grabbed the ball and sprinted towards opposing team's hoop and shot the ball. It was a three pointer. I managed to do of all that within a matter of seconds. They stood there awhile, in silence, looking like the sky had just been ripped open. I gave them a smile and threw the ball their way since they didn't bother going after it, giving them a handicap.

"Pfft, beginners luck." Chase spat in disgust. I raised a brow, smirking at him. Everyone shrugged it off as just that; beginners luck.

The red team was now in possession of the ball. Chase threw the ball to Liam while trying to fend off Nicholas and Marcus. Liam was left completely free without anyone getting in his way. Lebbec seemed to notice and signaled Nicholas after him, only he was already too late. Liam shot and scored a three pointer. Luke quickly grabbed the ball and headed for their hoop. He's pretty fast but was pillared in by Sean and Mikey. His safest option was to pass backwards, but I was the only one behind him, he didn't hesitate to pass it my way though which made me quiet happy. I quickly swooped up the ball. When Lebbec saw what was going on he shouted in frustration.

I saw a perfect opening to my left. Since Sean was busy trying to pillar in Luke he left his back defenseless. Liam was behind us but I assumed I was fast enough to get through with out him reaching me, so I took the chance. I took a sharp left with mach speed. Before they even knew my location I was taking a right and ran right past Chase then straight for the hoop. I shot another three pointer. Silence once again swept the room.

"I don't think that's beginners luck." I said, flicking my hair while shooting them another smile. I didn't mean to come off as cocky. I was just really enjoying myself. It was almost like I was finally peeking out of my shell of shyness. I was usually too shy to say a single word to them. I guess hanging out with Cortney was really helping.
