Jax pulled into the gravel driveway of the cabin that Happy reserved for them, Jax was pretty pleased that Happy asked him to go with Harlow on the trip, it was a chance to get to know that real her behind the Lowman toughness which Jax had yet to figure out. Jax looked for the key above the door frame just like the park ranger told him it would be there unlocking the door Harlow was the first one in, the small living room had a brick fireplace against the wall with a flat screen tv hanging on the wall, the furniture was a little out dated but neither of them cared.

"Your dad was right this place is beautiful" Jax said

Harlow nodded her head and smiled, for the first time in her life she felt safe. Safe in Jax's arms, safe from her terrible past with Stan. She was ready to fight him so she could move on with her life and rid him for the rest of her life, she needed this more then she knew. The quiet beautiful scenery before her

"Thank you for coming with me Jax. I know you didn't know my mom at all but she was a special lady" Harlow said turning around to face Jax

"The way Happy spoke about her I knew enough. You don't need to thank me Harlow. Thank you for coming into my life when I least expected it" Jax said leaning down and kissed Harlow on the lips, Harlow's hand found its way to Jax's face as she held it while deepening the kiss. Jax took Harlow in his arms as she began to cry, he knew she was going to be emotional when spreading her mothers ashes. It wasn't easy for him to handle either, he knew what it was like to lose a parent and it was devastating. Wiping a tear that was falling down Harlow's face Jax smiled

"What?" Harlow asked as she sniffled

"I told you I was breaking that wall down babe" Jax smiled

And unfortunately he was getting close, but Harlow didn't know how close he was and it didn't scare her anymore
