Looking up at the mountain before you, a bright smile crossed your face. "Come on, Ciel! What are you doing all the way back there?" You shouted, looking behind you. With Ciel and Sebastian being meters away, you couldn't help but to roll your eyes.

The big bag on your back wasn't getting any lighter, but the beautiful scenery in front of you prevented any frustration from accumulating.

   "What are we doing again?"

"We're going hiking, silly!" Another grin spread across your face, whereas, Ciel didn't seem quite as pleased with the agenda. Of course, he had to deal with it considering the fact he was here on duty.

Yes, the Queen had another job for her guard dog! Collaborating with Scotland Yard in a small town far away from the manor didn't exactly excite Ciel, but it did excite you when you were informed that they would've wanted your input on any evidence that they may find during the case.

"Come on! Arthur Randall is at the top of the mountain waiting!" A scowl made it's way to his face as he obeyed.

   ~

About halfway up the mountain, you decided to make conversation, "You know... I used to hike up this mountain with my parents..." Ciel hummed in response, allowing you to continue, "We used to hike all the way up to the brook that's at the top of the mountain...and we'd have a picnic."

"So you've done this before then?"

"Yep!" You chirped. "This place is actually very dear to me. Despite it being so simple, I would probably be very happy just to be able to come here and listen to the birds sing..." You began to trail off in nostalgia.

"It's just ever so gorgeous here... Anyway, Ciel, what do you think of it? It is not as bad as you thought, right?" Turning around to hear his answer, you were met with a mildly unexpected sight, "Um, Ciel... when did Sebastian start carrying you...?"

 ~

It didn't take long before the sound of running water met your ears, signalling that you had reached the top. Upon arriving at the small creak, you decided to check on your dearest lover.

Hands on his knees and panting like a dog in heat, was the sight before you; you had failed to hold in your snicker. "Why're you panting like that?"

"I just climbed a whole bloody mountain!" He snapped, you scoffed.

Allowing him to catch his breath, you took off the large bag you had been carrying before quickly rummaging through it in search of water. Wasting no time once obtaining the item, you mercilessly guzzled down its contents before pouring it all over your sweaty form.

A feeling of relief had washed over your body as you felt the lava underneath your skin cool. Unfortunately, Ciel had been the exact opposite of relieved, he was now hot. If only a raging blush was the only thing he had to calm down... If... If only...

He couldn't help but to pay close attention to how the sweat adorned your body and how the water ran down your skin, lightly soaking your clothes. Seeing the one he was attracted to in such a state just made him... grow

After realizing his situation, he immediately sat down in an attempt to shield his problem.

Now back with the oblivious you, you had finally finished chugging the water, leaving you gasping for oxygen. "Do you... want some...?" You said in between pants, facing him. You offered up the water to which he quickly snatched after a hoarse and forceful 'yes'.

Still panting, you noticed the red that stained his cheeks and instantly became concerned, "Hey, you're looking a bit red, you're not getting sick are you?" Reaching your hand out to feel his forehead, he avoided your touch.

"I'm fine!" He reassured, avoiding any form of eye contact.

Deciding to leave the subject alone and take his word for it, you backed away and continued on with your plans.

Going back to the large back you brought, you began unpacking it. Within a few seconds, a blanket, a basket, and two plates had been revealed; a picnic.

You took notice of his curious eyes, a small smile glistening on your face. "Don't get your hopes up, this is no gourmet meal. I only packed simple things like sandwiches."

"You made this?" The questioning tone caused you to giggle.

"Sebastian helped me." That's what you said, but in actuality, you were more of the assistant than him. Making  a quick move to grab one of the better sandwiches, your feast began~ Although the picnic probably didn't mean much to Ciel, you were ecstatic to be able to share this with him.
