Walking down the hall, heading downstairs to grab something, you managed to run into Finnian.

You had been surprised to find him on the second floor, but he soon explained his presence. Apparently, he had caused a problem in the garden earlier.

"Yep, I accidentally squeezed the bag too hard when I was carrying it over to the flowers, so it broke. Mr. Sebastian told me to go into the upstairs storage room because it was the only one with a container to spare." He said. Although cheerful, he was clearly a bit embarrassed.

"Intriguing, what about the flowers? Will they be alright?" You asked.

"Well, Mr. Sebastian said that giving the flowers excessive fertilizer could damage them, and a few of them did get squashed since it dropped all at once, but if I can clean it up, they should be fine!"

"Ah, alright." Whilst talking to Finny, you moved in front of him, walking backwards in order to make it feel more like a proper conversation.

In retrospect, you now know that that wasn't the best idea.

You continued your small conversation, and without paying any attention as to where you were walking, you finally reached the stairs.

As your left foot stepped off of the floor only to land upon nothingness, your right foot rose off of the ground as well/too, thinking it was supported. Quickly and without warning, you fell; a small gasp emitting from you upon late realization.

To make matters worse, in an effort to save yourself, you had instinctively grabbed onto Finny as a support, but sadly, only ended up dragging him down with you. Falling down the stairs, you screamed. Attempting to sheath you from the hard ground, Finnian grabbed you mid-fall.

As you tumbled down the stairs, Finny tried to make sure that he took most of the falls and kept you safe, and he was successful all but a couple times.

When you both reached the ground after multiple, consecutive impacts, a loud crash sounded within the manor, the ground lightly quivering beneath your bodies.

Your voice must've alerted Ciel, whom had also been roaming the halls about the time you fell. Your scream had originally concerned him enough to want to check on you, but the crash afterward had made him run over.

"Finny!" You squeaked, concerned for the boy's well-being. "Are you alright?"

He released a small groan in response, "I'm more worried about you, Lady (Y/N), are you okay?"

"Yes, fine." You mumbled. Dragging Finny down with you put you both in quite the position. With him lying on top of you and you stuck underneath him, it was a small struggle for each of you to even get up.

When Ciel reached the stairs, a misleading scene had been awaiting him. "What's the meaning of that crash?!"

Finny had began to try to lift himself off of you, despite his sore body due to the fall, but once Ciel's voice roared, he had gotten surprised, and lost his strength, falling back on top of you.

A noticeable movement and noticeable groan of uncomfort had been released from your mouth.

"Finnian, get off of her!" Ciel yelled.

Scared and obedient, Finny once again tried to lift himself off of you and easily reached victory after a little nudge.

Although, Ciel did get the wrong idea upon first seeing you, he knew Finnian wasn't the type to pin one down, attack, or do anything romantic with someone if he happened to have a crush, especially not with his lord's lady. He had primarily been worried that Finnian had accidentally hurt you or that his strength, when underestimating its power, had harmed you.

After some ice, you and Finny had been safe.
