When you get caught dancing

After finishing my work early for the day, I decided to walk around the manor in hopes of finding something to do.

While I was wandering, I began to hear a suspicious, rhythmic clacking.

Continuing down the hallway, I noticed that the noise was gradually getting louder. It was far too soft a sound and far too dance-like for it to be any of the other servants. Where was the noise even coming from?

As I neared closer to the sound of the clacking, I finally realized where it was coming from. The ballroom.

Once I reached the room's slightly ajar door, I peered inside, welcomed with the sight of (Y/N) dancing around in a formal dress with Phantom. I was speechless.

The sound of her dress-shoes clacking on the floor was at its loudest now, the noise echoing throughout the room. The sound was in perfect rhythm, however, making up for the lack of actual music. She somewhat dressed up for this.

I wasn't entirely sure what to make of this scene. It was surely amusing.

Phantom didn't seem to mind the dancing, he actually looked pretty pleased despite being held, swung, and spun a few feet above the ground with just the loose support of (Y/N)'s arm underneath him.

I was no longer merely peering into the room, I was curious as to how long it would take (Y/N) to notice me considering she hasn't already. Since I was watching while leaned against the wall, I wouldn't exactly say I was hiding.

I did like watching her dance.

She was giggly and smiley as she danced, and since it wasn't while I was trying to do my work, I was finally able to admire it. I like her smile. I like it when she's carefree. For lack of a better term, it was adorable.

Her song must've been coming to an end for her pace slowed down and the rhythmic clack of her footwork decreased.

After her dance ended, she must've come back to reality for she finally saw me.

"Ciel!" She squeaked, almost dropping Phantom. "How are you...?"

"Fine, yourself?" I replied. Her face was beginning to go red.

"Good, good..." She stammered, taking a short pause, "So, how long have you been there?"

"A few minutes." I answered, Phantom leaping out of her hold and leaving the room. "Is Phantom a good dancer?"

I only saw her face get redder. "I was just bored and wanted to play with Phantom, alright!" (Y/N) defended.

Funny. "If you say so. Anyway, I'd like to let you know that if you want to join me, I'm about to have my afternoon tea in the garden, and you're welcome to join... That is, if you don't already have meal plans with Phantom."

     "Ciel!" (Y/N) exclaimed.

Smirking, I left the room, heading to the garden. It didn't come as much of a surprise that (Y/N) joined me not too long after. It was a nice afternoon.
