They say history repeats itself, and it sure was now. Just like before, Ciel had received another task from the queen; another young girl was to be sent to the Guard Dog's protection due to a danger of which threatened her life. 

     Since this task would also affect you, seeing as you lived with him, Ciel informed you of this, even going as far as to allow you to read the actual letter. 

     Supposedly, the girl was 5 years old and her family had gotten on the bad side of an escaped convict. Although her family still remains unharmed, the forces that are protecting her loved ones from the danger, suspects that separating them will give them a better chance at safety. 

         The 5 year old was to be dropped off at a train station and from then on, be in the guard dog's care. 

     This news made you excited about two things in particular: One; meeting the little girl, and two: seeing how Ciel deals with this. With his workaholic syndrome mixed with an attention-seeking 5 year old, this was surely going to be an interesting experience. 

        For now, you just hoped that history would leave out the part where Ciel and the little girl fall in love with one another~! 

   ~ 

         It was now time to pick up the little girl from the train station. She was easily found by Sebastian, allowing the journey to be less tedious than it could've been. However, during the ride back to the mansion, the little girl had been very chatty; most likely irritating Ciel to no end. 

    Although, unlike Ciel, you were intrigued by what she had to say. 

 Astro. 

      Apparently, her father had quite the interest in looking at the stars on starry evenings.  He favored the act of recording any information he may have obtained from observing the sky with his telescope ; his love for space is what carefully named his daughter. 

   Sadly, that was the only information you received from Astro about her family. You did got other information too; for example, Astro likes the animal 'donkey'. 

 ~ 

    A few days have now passed and you had been showing Astro around town. Since Ciel spent the majority of his time in his study, it was up to you to supervise and entertain the little girl. 

     After multiple days of going out into town, many afternoons of playing in the garden and with the servants, and several nights of playing tag, you had finally completed everything you could do that took place outside of the manor. 

       Deciding to play in the house today, you grabbed some cards and began a wonderful game. 

 ... 

    The reason as to why it was taking place in the kitchen was something beyond your own knowledge. 

     "Go fish!" 

      With a simple nod, you picked up another card from the 'pond', before adding it to your queen collection, completing its set. With the last card gone, and the pond left empty, it was time to see the winner. 

    You began to count the matched cards aloud, announcing who achieved victory for this round, "Really?" She asked, "That means... that... I won! I won! I won! I won!" She cheered, overjoyed. You didn't take Astro for a sore loser despite her age, however, that was something you were not anticipating on finding out  soon, for this was her 5th victory so far. 

     The little girl jumped up and down in joy, releasing a light scream in victory before lunging into your lap. She hugged you tightly, snuggling her head into your stomach causing you to instinctively pet her head. 

   "Good job!" 

      "Aw, Lady (Y/N) let Astro win again; isn't that adorable!" Finnian cooed, whispering to the other servants whom had been watching your game. 

     Astro climbed off of you, a large grin still on her face.  

       Returning back to her 'seat', she collected all of the sprawled out cards and began to shuffle them for the next round of 'go fish'. "Lady (Y/N) is so good with children. I honestly can't wait until she and the young master have one!" Speaking his thoughts aloud, Finnian's statement caught you off guard. 

    Choking on merely air, you began heavily wheezing, followed by a coughing fit. Although what he said was most likely inevitable if you and Ciel were to stay together, you still weren't expecting such blunt words nor were you in a state to discuss that. "Lady (Y/N) are you alright!?" Mey-Rin asked. 

    Catching your breath, you were able to form a reply, "I'm absolutely fine." You breathily replied. 

   ~ 

    A few more days passed and all was well; Ciel was still working from within his study for most of the time and that of course, left you with little Astro. However, as the next week started, so did a few problems. 

    Astro was very sweet and energetic, but she was wearing you out. All of her empty questions, constant nagging and begging, energy-stealing activities, energetic movements, and sleepless nights accompanied by early and active mornings had you so exhausted and half ready to just throw this child out of the window. 

      But you persisted in keeping her company. You continued to play, despite the fact you were ready to drop dead. You answered her questions even though she didn't care nor would she ever retain the answers. You went to bed late so she could work off the rest of her energy even though she would wake you up in the morning earlier than the sun would ever want to rise. You did this all in spite of it. But you had your limits, and you were reaching your wit's end. 

        You were going to need a break from her. 

   ~

  The next morning soon arrived, and from the moment you first woke up, you had been furious after realizing something. Ciel was always in his study. He hasn't looked after Astro even once! First off: This was his job! Second off: this was his job! 

     He was in his study this entire time, working on things that weren't even due for like 5 years,  and neglecting the job that he has now! It was his responsibility to be watching and caring for this little girl, not yours! 

     Now, you weren't going to fully blame him for this. You hadn't expressed that you were getting exhausted from her; however, you had asked him a few times to look after her to which he declined causing the obvious conclusion that he wasn't even trying! 

     Well... no longer. After breakfast you walked to Ciel's study with Astro, "Ciel, can you look after Astro today?" You asked. It was quite clear that this was a rhetorical question. 

       Astro seemed to understand who her guardian would be for this day, for she ran over to Ciel appearing very playful. "Fine." He replied. No menace or uneasiness was in his voice, he seemed to understand that it was his turn to watch after her. Naturally, you thought that he would watch over her for the day because of such, however, you would be wrong. 

    "Great. Make sure to play with her too. Bye Astro, have fun with Ciel." You said, waving goodbye. 

   ~ 

    Now that Astro was taken care of, your fatigue could finally be attended to; basically meaning, you went to your room and took a nap... a long one. 

 Hours passed until you decided to check in on the two. 

     Walking back to Ciel's study, you were expecting to see them together, but sadly, your assumption was incorrect. When you entered, Ciel was still working on his paperwork due in 5 years! -and Astro was playing with Sebastian. 

    Judging by the butler's expression, he had most likely been playing with her the entire day. 

  --- Ciel totally just blew Astro off on Sebastian! 

      ~ 

      You ranted to Ciel that day; Astro didn't hear, Sebastian didn't care. However, between your small fight, (emphasis on 'your') you came to the conclusion that neither you nor Ciel could properly entertain her for the rest of her stay. 

     With Sebastian unable to care for her due to his chores, you could only find one other solution; you were going to have to leave her with a specific person. 

     ~ 

    "Aw! Where's the little girl!?" You cringed slightly at the high-pitched shriek. 

     "Right here!" You giggled, "Astro, meet Lady Elizabeth. Lizzie... Meet Astro." You introduced. 

     "Hi,"

   "Oh my! You are simply adorable!" She cooed, pinching the little girl's cheeks. 

    "M-miss Lizzie..." Astro mumbled, finding her speech quite impaired. 

    "Oh! We are going to have so much fun! What do you want to do first? I have so much planned!" Lizzie squealed, "Do you like tea parties?!" 

    "Oh, Yes! I love tea parties! My mother and mister Snuggles and I would have them all the time!" She cheered. 

    "Okay, have fun you two!" Isn't it amazing when 1 species meets its own kind? 

    In short, yes. You gave Astro to Lizzie. Sure, you still played with Astro from time to time, but for the most part, the two of them played together. You actually had a lot of fun watching from the side lines, but that is all you could handle, watching from the side lines. They're a perfect fit. 

 And a little side note, don't you dare give Ciel the credit of thinking to call Lizzie, that genius idea was all yours!
