Ophelia Hart is sick of a lot of things--including her life--enough to take her sister up on her offer to volunteer in the very first (and probably the last) volunteering program held in the old Oak Valley Sanitarium, a psychiatric hospital where her sister works.

That also meant socializing with people. Inside a hospital. Ophelia hated nothing more than that.

With the bonus of getting to visit the old archways of Britain and spending time with her sister who she barely sees anymore, Lia decides that she might suck it up for once.

But there's always a downside when things start getting a bit too exciting, and that downside came in the form of Alastair, the youngest in the line of the famous Hawthornes, the boy who seemed to have it all: popularity, riches, looks, everything.

But there's a lot more than what meets the eye.

A rich London boy, living a life that was envied by so many, ends up drowning himself in the same pool that once graced him with the position of a star swimmer.

So many misreading eyes. So many questioning stares.

Things were bound to change.

If only the mystery could be unraveled.
