Quesoftheday: What was your first impression when you first saw the title of the story?

Have you ever looked at anything on earth and feel like the butterflies from the whole world are singing inside your stomach? Felt a frenzy inside and a cold shiver ran down your spine? Your lips dying to trace the edge of that cold surface while your small whimpers fill the whole room? I did. That’s how I felt every time I see my love, in front of me now……………….a bowl full of ice cream, the pure definition of pleasure in seduction.

“Why are you panicking about losing this job so much Oren?” I sigh with a mouth full of vanilla ice cream and then continue after swallowing it down my throat. Bless heaven for kicking ice cream out of heaven for being too heavenly. “Look at you! You’re beautiful, smart and an intelligent young lady! Jobs would keep running after you, you don’t have to give away your life for keeping one job!”

Oren rolls her bloodshot eyes before glaring at me. Well bloodshot because of crying, she doesn’t pollute her blood cells like I do sometimes. She comes near me and takes a long breathe when I keep pecking the chocolate crisp from the top of my ice cream. Why they have to make so much chirping noise during a serious situation?

“I can’t believe you were given birth by mom almost at the same time and we bear the same brain! Because you take the most serious things too easily, unlike me. We’re of the same age but why won’t you grow up! God!” Oren walks out of the room after nearly yelling over me.

I take down the bowl of ice cream off my lap and keep it on the table beside me. Sighing heavily, I take out the big framed glasses off of my eyes.

It’s not her, it’s me who’s useless. She has everything; outstanding grades, smart personality, a perfect loving boyfriend; Everything I could envy for if she wasn’t my sister, the person I love the most. The only thing that matches between me and Oren is our faces, for being identical twins. It matches in such a level that if I don’t wear my nerdy power glasses at home, my parents would sometimes address me as Oren.

I climb out of the bed without tripping over the blanket unlike every time and walk towards the place Oren can be found, backyard garden, of course. I notice her sitting on the grass leaning against the stands of the metal swing, staring at her moving toes as if Prince Harry's face is painted on them.

Oh why all my crushes are always so keen to marry before I can even approach them!

I tiptoe to Oren and sit beside her crossing my legs, hugging her from her side tightly and smile when I feel her soft hands caressing over mine.

“My boss is going to New York for an international conference and he has chosen only me to go with him, out of all though I'm new. I told him that I’ve been suffering from this bad fever and the doctor has forbidden me to travel anywhere far until I get fully cured. So my boss is taking someone else.” She stops and I look at her confusingly.

“So what’s the bad ending of the story actually?” I ask widening my eyes, adjusting the glasses over my nose.

“That he’s taking someone else. I’d be fired for quitting at the last moment, for being irresponsible as he defined.” Oren breaks down in tears saying this and I caress her back in a round motion.

“I can’t believe how you work with a bitch, weren't there enough human to work with? What’s the problem if he has someone to take instead of you?” I yell in anger as I throw my head back frustratingly.

“Because my name has been registered already in the electronic file so it can’t be removed and he has trained only me how to present all the files. It’s all my fault.” She sobs louder as her words become cuter with her twisted tongue.

“Hey!” I cup her cheeks, “Look at me! Has the fever told you before that hey Oren! I’m coming okay? But don’t tell your boss that we’re gonna be a in a temporary relationship!” I sarcastically smile to drag a smile on her face which works. “Don’t blame yourself like a stupid, stupidity is my virtue.” I shake my head dramatically, flipping my hair to make my proud virtue stronger.

“What?” I ask looking at her boldly when she says nothing but keeps staring at me blankly.

“You are such a good actress Reen.” She tells widening her eyes.

“Well I know……thanks but what’s pulling your eyebrows in a line?” I ask looking at her confusingly.

“And we look exactly the same.” Her face lightens up this time.

“Yeah? You took a long time to understand the fact since our birth, anyway.” I whine. “wait…….” I stand up on the ground smelling where she’s taking it to. “No!” I shake my head. “no, no, no, never Oren! You’re not planning to do what you used to do in every PE exams in high school. No!” I cross my hands over my chest and keep moving my head side to side, being strong in my decision.

Well about the PE exam, in our house all the trophy gained for any kind of games belongs to me and Oren owns all the medals for academic performances. So I kinda used to help her with her marks when it came to physical exercise exams, taking the advantage of our same face.

“Please sister! You know what this job means to me! If I lose this job, you know how hard it will get again to manage money for dad’s chemotherapy.” She coos and I look at her hearing the last words coming from her lips.

I look at the drawing hall where my parents are sitting in front of the fireplace, a little smile on their face. Maybe trying to pull out their old memories to continue their conversation until something really detractive pushes them to end it. I smile and then sigh looking down my feet.

“Oren……..” I keep looking at my feet, “I don’t know a single thing about your conference and your attitude has never matched with mine. I’ve always been identified as the immature one when it comes to us. I’ve never even taken an appointment by myself in hospitals. Let alone working in an office. What if……….”

“Listen to me Reen!” Oren tilts my face up by my chin. “All you have to do is to give him the papers whenever he wants, keep him updated with his schedule, make him a simple cup of black coffee when he wants and go with him everywhere, without toilet – that’s it!” She smiles like she has just make me understand the easiest fact in the world that the sun rises in the east and sets down in the west.

“That’s it?” I laugh sarcastically. “Oren maybe it’s just a 'that’s it' for you but for me, it’s like digging a highway road to Mars from Earth.” I reply jerking her by her shoulders.

“Oren you can do it baby sis, for me, for dad, for us?” I take a long breathe when her voice cracks. She's good at emotional blackmailing though.

“I’ll do it.” I nod looking down and in a moment my feet are not touching the ground, obviously she has lifted me up while hugging.

“Okey okey now put me down! I’ve to grab a coffee from Starbucks before my mind changes it's direction.” I tell giggling and she puts me down and that’s when I notice the happy tears rolling down her cheeks. I wipe away her tears and hug her for a moment, caressing her back.

“I’d help you to understand the tiniest thing about this false project once you come back home.” She nods.

“And when I’ve to meet your bitch, I mean boss?” I roll my eyes.

“You’re going to meet him in my office tomorrow morning, a helicopter would take both of you to his private jet plane and then……………….”

“Wait!” I widen my eyes, lowering down my head. “Tomorrow?” I ask smiling sarcastically.

“Yeah.” Oren replies shrugging her shoulders.

“Someone fūck my life till its dead.” I whisper to myself. “You should’ve given the most necessary information of this project before I said yes Oren.” I yell tapping my feet on the ground.

“You should rush to Starbucks sweety, the air is getting polluted which is unhealthy for the direction of your mind.” She turns me around and pushes me towards my room by my shoulders.

//

“One unicorn Frappuccino please.” I order when I finally reach Starbucks after five minutes of walk. I roll my eyes when I remember I’ve forgotten my glasses at home. Today has to be the starting of my bad days.

“Here you go sweet lady.” The woman passes me the Frappuccino and I mouth her a thank you.

I walk out of the shop and decide to have my drink sitting on the bench in the nearby park, at least it’s a good place than this crowded shop. My thirsty lips approach near the straw but my bad day curses me with another accident.

I discover the colored drink creating a mess in front of my feet, the cup rolling on the ground beside me like some pathetic heartbroken singer rolls in music videos.

I close my eyes and curse under my breathe before looking up at the person who’s getting a punch from me in the nearest future. I wait for a moment to listen a sorry from him at least but his thin lips even don’t apart.

“Well don’t you think you’ve done something destroying and I deserve a pleading sorry from you? The thing is not about you wasted the thing I’ve bought, the thing is you’ve wasted a thing which could've fixed my wasted mood!” I emphasize each of my words looking at the man whose eye is still hidden behind the sunglasses in this gloomy British weather.

Does he even know its call sunglasses because it has some relation to the word sun?

“You shouldn’t walk down in a crowded area, looking down, busy sipping in your drinks. You’ve the equal guilty as much as I’ve, so criss cross.” He replies which nearly sounded as a whisper. “Meet you tomorrow morning at my office Oren, I think the fever has malfunctioned your mind a little and you forgot your boss doesn’t like to be treated like this.”

Before I can understand he walks inside Starbucks, making me standing there with my jaw dropped on the ground along with my drink.

Meet you tomorrow morning at my office Oren, I think the fever has malfunctioned your mind a little and you forgot your boss doesn’t like to be treated like this.

Am I gonna spend more than one day with this talking statue from tomorrow? I turn around and see him walking straight inside the shop, flickering his coats like he’s walking on a runway.

“This bitch has gotten an attitude with a good face structure but he won’t be able to handle mine if he’d knew it’s not Oren, its Reen Glena.” I mutter under my breathe before taking my steps to the car.
