"It's okay, princess. I'll carry you, don't stress yourself up" I said and slid my hands around Sierra's small and fragile form, picking her up effortlessly.

It scared me to hold her, to actually feel the weight upon me which felt like nothing. It scared me to hold, my princess, who weighed as light as a feather, which is clearly unhealthy.

Sierra took minimal control over her body and snuggled her small form as close to me as humanly possible.

She'd been like that recently, not letting anyone touch her or come near her other than Maya. Maya too was only allowed to come near her to a certain extent, if it got a step ahead Sierra would start shedding tears but her face would remain blank.

It's as though, her body gave the natural biological response it was supposed to but her sole decided to stop feeling altogether.

I shook my head getting rid of the negative thoughts and looked down at princess looking back at me with void eyes, her beautiful teal blank eyes.

I smiled softly, expecting nothing in return, and took small steps to the elevator while my driver followed behind me holding the luggage.

Xander finally gave a green light and said, that we could take Sierra home now but under proper care.

A lot of things were messing up my mind through these days, apart from Princess her old caretaker, Mary had ringed in and fought with the guards multiple times wanting to see Sierra, but I did not let her in.

I was scared, scared to trust anyone at all when it came to princess. I know, she might be angry at me when comes back but I'm ready to take that risk. I don't want things to go wrong, at all, in any possible way.

The elevator dinged open grabbing my attention as I walked in, keeping a secure grip around Sierra.

Once we reached home I loosened my grip around Sierra and tried to put her down but her hands slightly tightened around my collar, to anyone else, it was probably unnoticeable but these small gestures were my strings of hope.

Hope, that my princess will come back.

Throw around random facts.

Talk about what all, she wants to do.

There is still hope, there will always be hope.

I won't ever give up, never on my princess.

I smiled and looked down at Sierra in the eyes, while hers continued to remain void. I, once again, tightened my hold around her small figure and headed to my room as soon as Maya opened the door.

"Princess, you will stay in my room from on okay, no arguments. I need to take care of you, okay?" I mumbled and continued walking inside my room, expecting no response in return.

In my mind, somewhere, I knew she needed time and I ready to wait.

Wait forever, if that is what it took.

I meant down and softly rested Sierra's figure against the cushions and sat in front of her, "princess, do you want to tie your hair? It keeps falling on your face?"

For a moment, I expected her to reply but after a few seconds, I smiled.

It's okay.

"Of course, she does. I remember Sierra, once told me that she likes to keep her hair tied up" Maya said and rested her hand on my shoulders.

She was here, she was trying to let me know that she here. She was here for me, she was here for me to fall back on someone but I have to be strong. Strong because princess needs me.

"Did she? Well then, I think, you should help me tie up her hair since I'll probably end up destroying my princesses, beautiful hair." Maya went left the room and came back a minute later holding several hair ties and pins in her hand with a comb.

She went to Sierra and started combing her hair softly while Sierra remained still, motionless.

Moments like these were the ones that scared me, it was like, Sierra didn't feel any physical pain at all.

I pushed my hair back and closed my eyes for a second, calming down, and looked back up at Princess.

Sweet lord, she is the prettiest person I've ever seen.

I brushed the bangs of hair that fell on Sierra's face back softly and caressed her cheeks, they'd turned pale now unlike the pink hue they always carried.

Maya clapped softly and kissed Sierra's forehead, "you look beautiful, darling"

"When does she not?" I asked, unknowingly, letting it slip out of my mouth.

Maya chuckled and left the room and just then, a soft Yelp caught my attention.

I looked down to see, Champ looking back at me and Sierra with pure happiness.

He scratched the bed on Sierras side, as though asking for help from her.

I bent down picked up the small puppy and placed him on the bed, making a mental note to change the bedsheets later.

Champ quickly ran his way to Sierra and tried to jump on her but Sierra remained still, I took that as a hint and decided to pull Champ back but the moment I pulled him back Sierra whimpered, softly.

Very softly, almost inaudibly, she wanted him here.

I slowly placed Champ on Sierra's lap where he quickly turned himself into a ball and started licking Sierra's hands.

"I'll go get changed while you play with Champ, okay princess?" I said and quickly got up but Sierra whimpered again, much louder.

I looked down to see if Champ had left her lap but he was still in his place, I looked up, confused.

"What's wrong, princess?"

I made my way closer to Sierra and bent down while taking her hand in mine, "it's okay princess, I'm right here, I'm in the same room as you, okay? I'll be back in less than a minute, I promise"

I consoled Princess and placed a soft kiss on her knuckles.

I rushed to the washroom and quickly changed into a sweatshirt and pants, all the while mentally organizing everything I have to do.

Feed Sierra.Put Champ on his bedAsk Maya to take care of Champs foodSort out all the official mails once princess is asleep Check the legal reports and complaints about filing charges against Mr. vega and Harry.

Let's get this down, I thought to myself and straightened up.

The moment I walked out of the washroom the door opened and in walked Maya with a bowl of oats and fruits.

I smiled, grateful for the help and Maya just patted my back and took went back outside leaving me with princess.

I walked back to the bed where princess was sitting and took her small hand into my huge ones.

"Princess, you need to eat, okay? It's your favorite fruit and oats!" I said and tried lifting up the mood only to fail miserably, I looked down at the small dog on Sierra's lap who was now in deep sleep.

I picked up the spoon and brought it to Sierra's lips but she refused to open them, I closed my eyes for a moment and calmed down, seeing princess look so weak was already messing with my mind.

"Sierra, princess, you need to eat. Please? Once you eat, you'll be able to sleep well"

Sierra looked up at me with her big doe teal eyes and continued staring before exhaling loudly.

I brought the spoon back to her lips as she took a small bite and continued looking down back deeply into my eyes while her hands now rested on Champ's head, where, he was initially injured.

"You love him, don't you?" I asked princess while she continued staring at me and slowly reverted her hands back to her sides.

I frowned at her reaction and quickly placed her hands back on Champs's fragile body "don't do that, don't run from him. Don't be like me."

I mumbled and continued feeding princess while talking to her, since I was the only one doing the latter lately, "I don't like dogs, but I like Champ now, more than when I first saw him. Not because I didn't find him beautiful back then, but because, I find him strong and beautiful now. The little boy must have gone through so much pain, so much torture, and emotional scars before ending up here. We need to treat him and show him a world much more beautiful and colorful than he's ever known. In a way-"

I stopped and put down the now empty bowl of oats, picking up the bowl of fruits next to feed Sierra, "In a way, Champ reminds me of you. Your strong and beautiful self, I don't have the strength you both have to conquer life. If anything I got consumed in the dark side of life, I waited for vengeance but when I look at you, you remind me of what life is all about. You remind me that being strong and fighting your past is what makes you beautiful, more than anything you remind me that, I now have someone who's only here for me, some who's only mine. You're mine, my little warrior to protect, to love, to treasure. I don't think, no, I know that I will ever be able to trade what I feel for you, If something happens to you princess, I'll die. Maybe not physically, but my soul will leave me. You've started lighting up my soul, I don't know when it happened, but I love you, my love."

I smiled, thinking of how suddenly it was me who was the one constantly talking between the two of us, "I miss your voice actually, wait, give me a second"

I put down the now empty bowl of fruits and pulled out my phone, "A banana is not a fruit, it is a herb."

I chucked, "you're not even throwing around facts and I have to google them, but they don't sound interesting like this."

I slipped my phone back inside my pocket and looked up at Sierra, who was now looking drowsy.

I put Champ down and helped Sierra lie down, and caressed and soft, long hair.

"I miss you, princess, my little warrior. I want my soul back."
