I sat on the chair, frantically tapping my foot against the ground, my fingers steepled together in front of my lips as I rested my elbows on top of the table. "I think I've gone insane. I mean-" I shook my head in dismay. "How can I think it's hot?"

I turned to my friends who were busy swallowing their cinnamon rolls. "Are you even listening?"

Lexi gulped down another one and nodded. "So you like when he said you belonged to him?"

"What?" I gaped. "No"

Lexi's brow creased. "But you just said you find it hot"

I scoffed. "That was my wolf speaking. Not me. How can I find it hot?"

Lexi rolled her eyes heavenward. "She's really gone mad" She mumbled.

"Wolf?" Brian raised a brow.

"Oh she loves werewolf stories" Lexi explained and went back to eating her breakfast.

"That bastard" I abruptly slammed my fists against the table and my friends jumped back in shock.

"How dare he call me his? Me? His?" I gave out a humourless laugh. "That is absurd. He should be sent to a mental hospital"

"You should go with him" Lexi pointed out but one glare from me shut her up.

"How can he claim me? I already belong to many men" I help up my fingers, counting them. "Damon Salvatore, Klaus Mikaelson, Dean Winchester, Ferhat Aslan and-" I pursed my lips thinking hard but failed to remember the other name. "Who's that 'are you lost baby girl' guy?"

"Massimo" Brian answered.

"Yes that guy" I nodded. "He's hot" Then I slumped back in my chair, dragging my body down until only my head was visible above the table. "But Ian is hot too. They way he said it, it was also hot"

"So you like it or not?"

I came back up. "If my crush Blake said that-" I said dreamily. "I would be flying over the hills by now. But this is Ian Kingston. He's not my type"

Lexi wrinkled her nose. "But you just said Ian Kingston is hot"

"That's my wolf speaking!"

"Okay that's it" Lexi set down her utensils. "I'm calling an ambulance"

It was the next morning and we were having breakfast at the dinning hall. But I still couldn't stop talking about yesterday's events. After Ian called me his, we came back to the hotel and he vanished into thin air - haven't seen him since. Thankfully he didn't grace me with his presence last night to my room or else I wouldn't have been so patient in controlling my fists.

I knew he saved me and I'm forever grateful for that but he can't say that I'm his.

But the way he said it, it was soo hot. Okay, shut up!

Melissa on the other hand - as I heard, had been crying the whole of yesterday. Someone said that she had been forced to go back to New York, but who knows, she might have found a way to stick around.

"He even kissed you right?" Brian asked as he chewed on his food. "Did you kiss back?"

My eyes lightened up at that. "Oh my God! I think I have some brains left"

"I'm not very sure about that-"

I interrupted Brian. "I've never kissed him back. Never, not even once" I laughed wickedly. "I'm awesome"

But I like his kisses.

Wait what?

No no no. I just like kissing rich guys! That's it.

At that thought I gasped and jerked forward in my chair.

"Guys" I said in alarm. "I think I'm turning into a gold digger" I gasped again, covering my mouth with my hand.

Lexi rolled her eyes.

"Omg I'm a gold digger" I said in disbelief.

"Well you might be" Brian nodded thoughtfully. "You love money"

"Not exactly" Lexi interjected. "Gold diggers waste others money but Hailey here will take all of Mr. Kingston's money, stack them in a safe and keep it there until she reincarnates into a self who actually spends money"

"I do spend money" I said in an offended tone.

"Nope" Both of them answered simultaneously and I scoffed.

"Wait and watch how I'm gonna flex my money when I buy the Prescott apartment" I raised my chin up and flipped my hair. "And you two are not invited" I huffed.

"Fine, do as you please, your majesty" Lexi gave me a bow and I scowled.

"Don't you know that you should dream-"

"Daniel" Lexi suddenly gasped, looking at someone over my shoulder.

I turned and found Ian's secretary standing right behind me. He scowled at Lexi and then glanced down at me.

"Miss Evans, Mr. Kingston said that he'll be picking you up after the trade show"

My brows creased. "Tell him I'm very much capable of climbing the company bus after the expo"

Daniel opened his mouth to speak and then shut it. He did it once again before sighing in frustration. "I'll relay the message Miss Evans"

He gave me a short nod and turned to walk away but Lexi stopped him.

"Daniel, have breakfast with us"

Daniel took a deep breath and turned to Lexi. "Miss Benson I've been meaning to tell you something"

Lexi raised a brow. "What is it?"

"I. Am. Not. Into. You"

My jaw fell. Lexi gasped. "Excuse me-"

"And Miss Benson, please refrain from calling me by my first name. You may call me Mr. Collins. Thank you" Then he turned on his heel and marched away, disappearing out of the dinning hall.

"That piece of shit" Lexi took a knife and pointed it in Daniel's direction. "I'm gonna kill him"

"Evans!" VP's voice echoed through the hall. "Let's go"

I spun in my chair. "Go where?"

"To the workshop"

"What workshop?" I asked dumbfounded.

VP kept her hands on her hips and grimaced. "The workshop we have to do for college students. Did you forget it already?"

"But I didn't sign up for it-"

"I don't care Evans. You already ditched yesterday's work. Today you have to go to both workshop and the trade show. Now get up"

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Fine"

...

"I'm mentally drained and devastated" I complained as I gathered the surveys given by our customers service branches in San Francisco.

"Me too. I'm on the verge of a breakdown" Lexi sniffled, her eyes clouding with tears. "Why is he so mean? I can't believe I fell for his cute face"

"Shut up guys" Brian muttered. "Our problems later. Focus on the expo"

I sighed and slumped my shoulders, my gaze falling on our sales employees who were promoting our products to the customers inside the booth. VP was too busy demonstrating the advantages of our latest laptop model to a group of teenagers, who apparently was making fun of her.

"That's karma" Lexi said nudging her chin in VP's direction. "She dragged you through hell today. College students sucks"

"Much better than high schoolers"

"I have to agree" Brian nodded firmly.

"Really?" I raised a brow at him. "Why? You were the high school jock. School was where you shined" I trained my eyes back ahead. "And you didn't even notice me" I muttered, loud enough for him to hear me.

"I-" Brian hesitated. "I did notice you. It's just there were too many girls flocking around me"

I snorted. "Oh please stop! You didn't notice me because you ignored every girl who wasn't in the cheerleading squad.

"I feel very offended now"

I opened my mouth to argue but my phone suddenly rang. I took it out of my pocket and groaned loudly, seeing the caller ID.

"It's the fucking Kingston" I sighed and answered it. "What?"

"Come outside"

"No" I protested.

"Just come outside" Then he hung up.

"Wow" I pulled the phone away from my ear and gaped at it incredulously "He really knows how to piss me off"

I tucked the phone back inside my pocket. "I have to go. The Kardashian is calling me" I turned and marched out of the convention centre, looking for the Kingston.

As soon as I stepped outside, I saw him, leaning against his car, his hands inside his pockets and the sleeves of his white shirt rolled up.

In his exposed white shirt and black tie, he looked - delicious. Hailey shut up!!!

"Why did you call me?"

Ian glanced up and his lips curled into a small smile seeing me. "We're going somewhere"

"Where?" I frowned.

Ian straightened up and his hand reached out, tucking a loose strand behind my ear.

"To meet the she devil"
