"SHIRA, YOU STOLE the key to my heart since the first day we met, ten years ago. Will you marry me?" Theo asked, a ring stuffed in a marshmallow as he bent down on one knee. Shira's eyes were wide with surprise and her jaw was wide open. The sight made me smile and I waited for her answer along with the others who were watching happily.

"Yes!" Shira squeaked before jumping on Theo as they shared a sweet kiss. Everyone clapped and cheered, happy for the engaged couple and I felt tears brim my eyes in happiness. Auden hugged me from my side and smiled, almost grinning at the happy situation. I looked over to see the couple whispering sweet nothings to each other and smiled all over again.

One by one, everyone congratulated Shira and Theo on their engagement. Mila was crying silently as she looked at her happy daughter. I went to her side immediately and gave her a hand a comforting squeeze. She sighed in happiness. "I was so worried that she wouldn't get settled," Mila said, placing her hand above her heart as she smiled at the couple.

The entire area was buzzing with thrill and excitement. Happiness for the couple and excitement because it's our last night in the Camp. Tomorrow morning, we will have a small gathering to declare the winner and that's it. Everyone would be back home. I looked over to see Auden talking to a man who was laughing at something Auden had said. Just behind them, I saw a lady talking to Vanessa strictly. I scrunched my eyebrows up in confusion. Who was that lady? I had never seen her before. Vanessa seemed very sad, almost on the verge of tears and the lady seemed to be very angry with her. I felt sorry for Vanessa a little.

"I can't believe I am engaged!" Shira jumped up and down in front of us. "Mom! I'm engaged." Shira jumped again, a grin on her face as she seemed to glow with excitement. "I'm going to get married!" Shira jumped again, excited and Theo hugged her from behind as he kissed the top of her head.

"Calm down, princess," Theo said, his mouth in a grin and Mila hugged the both of them tightly before letting them go. Uncle West came into sight and slapped Theo's back. "Not bad. Good proposal. I was scared my Son was going to mess it up." Theo said, his usual grumpy face having a slight smile on it as he saw an excited Shira.

"When is the wedding?" I asked happily as I couldn't contain the happiness and excitement from dripping into the sentence as well.

Theo looked at Shira, waiting for her to say and Shira narrowed her eyes, thinking before widening her eyes in excitement. "Christmas is coming in two weeks. How about on Christmas Eve?" Shira asked and looked at Theo who looked more than satisfied with the answer.

"I'm so happy," Mila said, sobbing once again as she kissed Shira's forehead. Just like that, Shira's smile diminished. "Mom, you are embarrassing me," Shira complained and everyone laughed at her response.

All of us chatted for a while, talking about the future wedding, Mila's grandkids and rings in marshmallows. Theo had asked Mila last night for her blessing and she was more than happy to bless him. Someone had taken a video of the proposal so now they can put it on during their wedding.

"When will you say yes to me?" Auden whispered into my ear and I smirked as I poked the chicken meat.

"I don't know," I said, teasing him and Auden smiled before giving me a sweet peck on my lips. "Just make sure it's soon."

"Be patient, Auden." I teased before putting a piece of chicken into my mouth.

"But, I want to call you mine," Auden whined like a baby as he pouted and I couldn't help but laugh at his sweet statement.

"I am already yours," I whispered back, before kissing his nose.

"I want to call you Mrs Milson," Auden said, his bright blue eyes gazing into my eyes with strong intensity and a shiver travelled down my spine. I didn't reply to that but just smiled and kissed his nose before I continued eating. I could feel his gaze lingering on me before he whispered, "Be careful. Don't tease me too much, love. You never know what's going to happen when we get back home tomorrow." He teased and my eyes widened in embarrassment before a faint blush painted itself on my cheeks.

"Camp Queens has officially come to an end." The lady from last night, the one who was scolding Vanessa announced. "Now, if you all remember, we told you of a surprise yesterday, am I right?"

The crowd remained silent and eager for her to continue.

"Due to some circumstances, there will be slight changes in the President voting. As the president of the association, I am displeased to have to announce that my time is over — now instead of next year — as the president and the next presidential election has begun." The lady said with sadness dripping from her tone. It looked fake. It seemed like she wanted people to yell for her to remain as the president but she got none of those.

"She is Vanessa's Older Sister, Victoria," Shira whispered to me and my eyes widened in alert. "Total drama queen."

"In this camp, we have selected three people worthy of being the president from each group—"

Suddenly, the entire camp started talking in whispers and excitement filled the air. My stomach tingled as I looked over at Rosetta to see her giving me a knowing smirk.

Oh, no.

"There will be a voting system, from which you can choose your president. The official President of the Queenistas will be announced next week. Thank you and all the best to everyone." Victoria clapped excitedly and left the stage. Mila walked over with a small list in her hands.

"So, the nominees are," She made a dramatic pause. "Orlanda Coventry, from group Bison. Vanessa Sinclair from group Raven and Katherine De Beaut from group Panthera." Everyone clapped loudly as the names were announced and I stood up, stunned and confused as I walked towards the stage along with the two other girls.

That's when something hit me.

Vanessa Sinclair.

She was related to Rosetta Sinclair? Is that why Rosetta said she was not in the position to remove the president? Everything fell into pieces now and I gulped as I walked up the stairs. I could hear Shira and some other girls yelling my name out loud and couldn't help but blush.

I looked up to see Orlanda, Vanessa and me standing beside one another. Vanessa seemed tense and I looked to the front to see the lady who spoke earlier glaring at Vanessa harshly. If looks could kill, Vanessa would be buried six feet under.

"Ladies and gentlemen, here we have our nominees." Mila bellowed and everyone cheered with happiness.

"You don't get it. Being the queen of the Queenistas. It's a dream for every rich girl." Lyra, the girl from last night said and I shrugged. Everyone was congratulating me for getting nominated as we were packing our bags to leave the camp.

"I don't know. I feel like it's a huge responsibility." I said, shrugging as I found this whole situation unreal. It was happening all of a sudden. Lyra sighed.

"Katherine?"

I turned around to meet Rosetta Sinclair herself and immediately walked towards her, excusing myself from Audrey.

"You are related to Vanessa?" I asked, the question coming out of my mouth before I could stop it.

"Yes." Her tone sounded a little annoyed at the mention of Vanessa. "That's why I couldn't remove them from the association. They are my brother's children." She huffed. "Anyway, I wanted to congratulate you. I knew you would make it on the list. Turn that frown upside down and be happy about it. You will win." Rosetta said casually as if she saw the future.

"Thanks," I said, a brief smile on my lips before I rolled my eyes.

"Can I borrow Katherine for a moment, Grandma?" I heard another voice and turned around to see Theo's Father, Uncle West standing a few feet away from us with his usual grumpy face. I laughed at his nickname for Rosetta.

"Oh, West." Rosetta scolded. "Watch your mouth." She smacked his head before walking away, leaving a smirking West who was looking at home with an amused smile. I laughed at him as he walked towards me.

"Congrats," West said and I nodded, thanking him and he scratched the back of his neck. "I normally don't do this but here it goes,"

I scrunched my eyebrows up in confusion. "What is it, Uncle West?" I asked, eagerness getting the best of me.

"Well, I am a lawyer. A very good one at that." He breathed out before relaxing his shoulders. "I know you have been through hell and I think that those fucking bastards deserve to lick the jail bars." Uncle West said and I gasped, realising what he was trying to say.

"I have people. Powerful people who can provide justice for you. You can get your company back. You can get your house back." Uncle West said, his lips in a pressed smile. "All you need to say now girl is yes."

"Are you serious?" I asked, feeling hope rise in my heart at the thought of finally providing justice for my parents. For their death.

"Yes." He nodded.

"But, you don't have any evidence," I said.

"That's the trick. You have to help me with that. You need to think. Is there any clue? Any evidence you can provide?" Uncle West asked and I thought about it but nothing popped up in my mind and I pursed my lips in dread and he squeezed my shoulder.

"It's ok, Kid. We still have time. Take your time. Think about it and let me know." Uncle West said and I nodded, breathing a sigh of relief as I smiled in content. He saluted me before walking away and I laughed at his playfulness. I walked away and continued packing my things in my luggage when Shira shouted, "Oh shit, I forgot the hammock."

"I will get it," I said. "You get the bags in the car."

"Ok." She yelled back before jogging away with two bags in her hands.

I jogged towards the trees holding the hammock when suddenly I heard a moan. I stiffened and disgust filled my face as I quickly took out the hammock and ran back to the tent. I realised that I had left my purse there in a hurry and groaned.

These things happen only to me.

I rushed back again and grabbed the purse. Looking up, my eyes fell on a familiar face who gasped at my presence. It was Vanessa and Audrey, holding hands as they walked together in front of me from behind a tree. Audrey seemed fine with it but Vanessa's eyes filled with fury as she glared at me. It was then the puzzle pieces flew to my mind. The way Victoria glared at Vanessa, the way Victoria scolded Vanessa showed that she was controlling her. Vanessa is gay and Victoria probably doesn't like that due to her status. She must have forced Vanessa to get a boy which was why she tried to sleep with Theo and couldn't, which was why she wanted Auden. Vanessa wanted to prove to her sister that she wasn't gay but she couldn't avoid who she was.

"So that's why," I muttered under my breath as Vanessa stared at me in horror as her face went pale at my realisation. She let go of Audrey's hand immediately as if it scorched her and she glared at Audrey. "It's all your fault," Vanessa shouted as she walked away. Audrey seemed to get sad all over again.

I understood the situation perfectly now.

Vanessa loves Audrey but she was scared of who she was.

"You are gay, so what?" I asked as I trailed behind Vanessa. "No one is going to say anything," I said, and Vanessa glared at me.

"Don't say that word." Vanessa spat angrily at me before she ran away. I turned around to see Audrey with her face twisted in full of pain.

"She always does this," Audrey said, as she collapsed into a heap of tears and I immediately hugged her, comforting her softly.
