EVER SINCE I revealed the facts of my life to Auden, my insecurities were devouring me. I was always by his side and I always looked at him just to make sure he still looks at me the same way. I have been telling him more bits and pieces that I missed out on the story. I told him about Mrs Rosetta Sinclair's proposal. He was proud of me and suggested that I should join. It made me smile that Auden now looked at me as a strong woman and not a woman with a bad background.

I didn't tell him about the fight in the bathroom. I don't even want to waste my breath talking about her. I was so blinded by my anger towards her that the more I think about what happened, I realised a major mystery. Why does she hate me in the first place? Because of Auden? Can't be. I remember her asking Theo out at the mall. Why does she even act this way? There must be something troubling her. I wonder what trouble she would have.

"One more cupcake?"

"Nope." I declined politely and Auden put the cupcake down. I felt the nauseous feeling rise at the back of my throat and I tried to gulp it down. I just ate something called 'Balut'. Balut is an Asian delicacy consisting of a fertilized duck egg that is boiled and eaten in the shell. The idea of this dish is horrifying for me because the tiny duck fetus has already developed soft bones and other features. Don't even get me started on the food beside it, named 'Bull Penis' on the stand.

I didn't try anything after that.

I don't even want to try the innocent-looking cupcake.

Who knows what it's made up of?

There could be tiny fish eggs and cat poop in there for all I know.

I looked over at Auden who just laughed away at the joke Mr Desmont made. He was a huge old man with a beard. He looked like the cool uncle that would come and visit you during Thanksgiving and eat most of the food there. I looked at my hands to see one of them being held tightly by my dear Auden and the other one just resting on my lap.

How long does this event last?

I looked up at the huge golden clock hanging on the wall.

Looks like it's fuck this shit o'clock.

"KitKat, do you want to go home?"

I whipped my head around fast to look at him with huge relief. My excitement to go home was displayed on my face brightly because he chuckled at my enthusiasm.

"You could have told me you know." Auden kissed my forehead and I felt all my stress melting away like a butterscotch ice cream in summer. "I love you." He reminded me once again and I felt happy as my heart skipped a beat.

"Let's go." He whispered and stood up slowly, holding my hand and excusing himself from the group of old luxurious men and women. Both of us walked, muttering several 'excuse me's and finally reached the door which led to the outside world. The door that led to freedom from these judgmental freaks. The door that would lead to home. The door was opened, our feet were in the limousine and my butt was on the soft cushion seat.

Finally.

Phew.

What a night.

I felt a soft nose tickle the side of my neck and a hot breath whisper in my ear as the limousine started moving. A hand circled my hip and pulled me closer to a warm chiselled body. "Finally, I got you alone." The way he said it sent my body into a shock wave. A pleasurable one of course. One that I craved.

I turned around to look at him, our foreheads were touching and his hand was now gliding up my thigh. His hand reached my hair and the updo was gone. His fingers ran through the knots of my hair softly.

He ran his fingers through the complicated knots of my soul.

"You were glowing today." He whispered and I raised my eyebrow in question, as my heart warmed up.

"I can't glow," I said, pursing my lips to prevent them from smiling too much.

"Every girl glows. But once I saw yours, everyone else's faded away while you shined brighter than Paris at night. I just want to bask in your light." He kissed my nose.

My dear tummy, sorry for all the butterflies lately. I swear it's not my fault. It's his.

My hands circled his neck and pulled him closer. My lips touched his and soon the world around us was forgotten. His hands held me close and safely. The softness of the kiss we shared soothed all the scars in my heart. I wanted to drown in the feeling. It was addictive. He pulled away and his eyes were bright with happiness. A smirk found its way on his lips and he said, "I swear that when our lips touch, I can taste the next 60 years of my life."

My heart sped up and my cheeks felt warm.

He was filling the grooves and empty spaces of my scarred heart with lustre gold and silver dust.

"Auden..." I dragged, once again speechless by his sentence. The limousine came to a halt and I realised that we had reached home. A mischievous glint filled his bright blue eyes and a scandalous smirk stretched his lips.

My heart was hammering against my ribcage at the thought of what's going to happen next. He pulled away and both of us got down the limousine. As I stood in front of the house, I thought of the memories of the ball night with Auden and I smiled.

Yes, I smiled.

I could hear the rumbling of the limousine behind me as it sped away and disappeared into the darkness of the mysterious night. Auden held my hand and led the way into the house.

"Will you ever let go of my hand? it's beginning to get sweaty." I said as we entered the house.

"A lot of your body parts are going to get sweaty tonight so why not?"

"What?" I pretended that I didn't hear that although I was dying inside.

"Nothing." He winked and my insides turned into goo. My heels were off my feet and the chill of the cold marble floor was almost orgasmic. I felt relief and let go of Auden's hand who was now slanting against the wall, staring at me.

"I'm going to drink water," I said and he nodded still burning me with his lustful gaze. I headed for the kitchen and poured some water for myself as a million thoughts ran through my mind. The only thing I could hear was my heartbeat and the footsteps of someone coming closer.

"I need water too." He kissed my shoulder and I felt my body tense. I grabbed the cup to pour him water too when he stopped me.

"I need fresh water." His voice was low dark and mysterious. I realised what water he wanted as a hand circled my stomach. In a second, I felt all my thoughts disappear as one clear thing popped up in my mind.

Him.

As quick as lightning, I turned around and his hands were helping me up the counter. Our tongues tangled in a lovely dance and his hands roamed everywhere. My hands were all over his chest as I unbuttoned his shirt.

"Tell me if I need to stop." He breathed out, kissing down my cheek and I shook my head.

"Don't stop till I'm begging."
