Hello again.

It's definitely been a while but I wanted to thank all of you for getting this book to 2M reads, more than I could even imagine and as a thank you here is a bonus chapter

We ended with the wedding in the time frame of the summer of 2017 so we're going to skip ahead to the Christmas Eve and Christmas of 2018. Jake is now two going on three and the twins are one going on two. Pretty much it's been a year and a bit.

Christmas Eve 2018

I rub my temples in irritation as I try to wrap up these last few presents and Lucas attempts to keep the twins occupied. As I wrap the last few presents it goes quiet except for the voices on the tv.

As I'm finishing up I hear the soft thumps of a child coming closer until they stop right in front of the door.

"Mumma, Mumma, Mumma!" I hear as Toby slaps the door. Recently he's been having terrible bouts of separation anxiety which has made getting presents a hard task.

I quickly push the presents in a corner and throw a blanket on them before unlocking and opening the door. A second longer and we probably would've had a full on meltdown on our hands.

"Hi baby, I'm right here, it's okay you're okay." I murmur soothing words to him while rubbing his back. I pepper kisses along his face as his breaths become more even, once Toby's calm enough I walk with him in my arms back to the living room.

"Lucas?" I call out walking through the empty living room, only the tv playing and toys everywhere.

Ever since we moved to an actual house almost a year ago the kids, Lucas included, have taken it upon themselves to claim their territory by leaving things everywhere.

"We're upstairs."

I open the gate and let Toby crawl up the stairs and walk behind him. Once we finally make it up I grab his hand and guide him towards his Dad and sister.

"What on earth are you two doing?" I walk into our bathroom only to see Lucas and Alex in the tub with a soap moustache and mohawk. Toby sees them and walks over to the tub stumbling as he goes.

"We're having a bath duh." He swishes around in the large tub making Alex laugh up a storm as the water sloshes over her small body.

"Well I hope you two are having fun because I found this one banging on the door while I was tending to important business."

"Oh I am so sorry Buddy, can you forgive me?"

Toby stares for a while before smiling and putting his arms out. I quickly get him undressed and lift him into the tub with them.

"Hey what time does your mom want us all over?" I ask after playing with them for a while. Ever since that first Christmas I spent with them it has been amazing, and this year my family's coming for New Years.

"She said 5 or something." He said draining the now cool water.

"Okay, we've gotta pack the presents and all their clothes and stuff." I turn on the shower head so they can wash off properly.

"The twins should probably eat before we go so they don't get cranky." He lifts them up in his arms and stands to get out of the tub, his trunks fit sung against his legs and I can't help but stare.

"Hey, my eyes are up here you know." He then steps into the shower with Alex and Toby still in his arms.

"Oh I know exactly where they are." I grab the shower head and run the water over all three of them until the suds are all off.

I turn off the water and get them all towels to dry off, he keeps Toby while I get Alex.  We walk to their shared room and got them dressed in some warm clothes, just as I was about to give up the struggle of putting Alex's socks on the doorbell rings.

"You try and put her socks on, I'll get the door." I stand and leave him to try with her.

I make it downstairs and open the door to see a bouncing Jake and a smiling Lacey with bags in her hands.

"Hi Lacey, hey Bubs! How was your day, did you have fun?" I catch him as he jumps into my arms and Lacey walks into the house.

Over the past year things have gotten great with Lacey and Jake, she sees him around every other day and he spends some weekends with her. He calls us both 'Mom' or some sort of the word which might get confusing as he gets older and starts school, but for now it's good.

"My goodness he never runs out of energy, we went to the mall and McDonald's PlayPlace and this one's just bouncing off the walls still." Lacey says putting the bags down in the main hall.

"Mmm BaDonald's Mummy." Jake smiles in my arms before wiggling to get down.

"Well I'm glad you had fun, wanna go see Daddy and the twins? They're upstairs hold the railing okay."

He hollers all the way upstairs trying to find their room.

Lacey and I catch up for a couple minutes before Lucas and the kids come down making much more noise than necessary.

"I gotta get going but there's gifts in the bag over there to bring to Lisa's, I won't be able to make it tomorrow until the afternoon." Lacey stands up and walks to the front door.

"Alright drive safe okay."

"Will do, see you guys tomorrow. Bye Jake love you." She gives him a kiss and leaves.

I lock the front door before going to the kitchen to fix something small to eat before we get ready to leave, I go to grab Alex from Lucas and notice she still doesn't have socks on.

"You couldn't do it huh." I take her from him and cuddle her to my chest.

"It's impossible, she just hates socks."

I put Alex in the jumper with wheels so she can walk around a bit and go upstairs to make sure all our bags are packed and ready.

Almost and hour later we're at Lisa's front door, Jake knocking up a storm with Alex and Toby snoozing against mine and Lucas' shoulder.

The door opens but nobody is standing there, Jake begins to walk in when John pops out from behind and grabs a surprise Jake who giggles up a storm.

"Hi John good to see you." I give him a side hug due to the sleeping toddler and Jake hanging off his side.

"You too as well I've missed these munchkins." He helps grab one of the bags we were able to bring out of the car.

"Where can I put these two down?" I lean against the wall.

"Same room as last time, you guys know the way." We walk up the stairs to a guest bedroom while Jake and John go into the kitchen probably to find Lisa.

We place them on the bed with a pillow and blanket barrier going all the way around; they never really move in their sleep but better safe than sorry.

I stand with Lucas at the foot of the bed and just stare for a while.

"They're so beautiful, can you believe we did that? We actually made people."

"It's been almost two years and you're only now realizing this?" He laughs at me a little.

"Shut up, you know what I mean." I shove him a little then lay my head on his shoulder.

"Sometimes I just sit and think how crazy it is that there's three people running around with my DNA."

"So weird."

There's a comfortable silence until Lucas speaks again

"Hey Jess?"

"Yeah?" I look up at him slightly.

"Wanna make a fourth one?"

I pause for a second taking in his question before responding.

"You want to have four kids under five, are you insane?"

"Maybe a little, plus the twins would almost be three and Jake four maybe even past that depending." He turns so we're facing each other.

"God Lucas, are you serious?"

"Heck yeah, let's do it on purpose this time."

"You've gone insane haven't you." He smiles and give me a kiss.

His lips are soft and slightly warm against mine, I wrap my arms around his neck as his hands grip my waist and pull me closer.

His tongue grazes my lips and I clamp them shut smiling into the kiss, Lucas squeezes my hips making me gasp and he takes dominance. This continues for a while before I remember there are two small children sleeping on the bed in front of us.

I slid my hands down from his neck and push against his chest and we break apart.

"Two of our kids are in the room." I laugh.

"So what they're sleeping and too young to remember anyways."

"Too bad."

He doesn't say anything just kisses my forehead and grabs my hand to take us both downstairs to finish unloading the car.

By the time dinner comes around Maggie and Brian have arrived along with Liz, her husband Sean and their two children. The twins are mostly wide awake, laying on a play mat being entertained by their older brother and cousins.

I notice Lucas and Brian slip out as Maggie takes a seat beside me.

"Has the evil queen spoken to you today?"

"Just the pleasantries as usual. You should really stop calling her that before someone hears you." She brushes off my words with a wave of her hand.

"They love me too much to do anything, I would be the golden child if Lisa was my mother."

"Mhm I'm sure, now enough about me how are you?" I turn my body more towards her.

"Not too bad, Brian and I are thinking of moving to a slightly bigger apartment and getting a dog or something."

"Maggie that's so exciting, you guys are so wonderful together."

"Thanks Jess that really means a lot. I think this is it ya know, he's the boyfriend of all boyfriends."

"I think you and Brian will be it for each other."

"What are you two ladies gossiping about?" Brian asks as he and Lucas walk back into the living room.

"Why you of course what else" Maggie gets up to sit with him and Lucas comes near me.

"Good things I hope."

"Of course not who do you think I am?" I laugh.

Our conversation goes on for a while before the front door opens and in walks Melissa.

"Hello family, Merry Christmas Eve!" She drops bags at the door and walks in to greet us and the children.

Although her and Lisa talked out what happened between them, they still aren't on the best talking grounds just yet.

Soon after she arrived we were called for dinner in the dining room. There was not a moment of quiet over the meal Lisa had cooked with Johns help of course.

After dinner Lisa orders Sean, Brian, Lucas and John to clean up while we relax in the living room with the children. I turn on the TV to a Christmas special and take Jake to my lap while the Twins start to fall asleep in their little chairs, I make sure to strap them in and turn it on to lull them to sleep.

Once the movies start the boys join us with popcorn and we settle into a comfortable silence. As the movie continues Jake falls asleep in my arms and I take that as my cue to bring hip upstairs.

"I'm going to put this little one to bed and knock out myself." I say standing up, Lucas noticing does the same and grabs the twins.

Once they're changed and settled we retire to our own bed. I lie under the covers while Lucas brushes his teeth, I scroll through instagram until he comes out and turns the lights off, fining me under the covers.

I leave my phone to charge and cuddle into his arms, his arms tighten around my body and I close my arms.

"Jess?" He whispers.

"Yes Lucas." I answer quietly on the verge of sleep.

"Thank you for everything."

"Thank you too Lucas." He kisses my forehead and I drift off to a very peaceful sleep.

*****

And there is your Christmas special even though it is nowhere near Christmas and I only wrote Christmas Eve.

This whole chapter is to just thank you all for supporting me and reading this book.

I might do more holiday specials in the future or even write books the you get to see more of Jessica and Lucas but I highly doubt there will be a second book focused on them solely.

Anyways thank you all

Have a wonderful morning, afternoon, evening, and night.
