"Dimitri Donatello," a doctor said and I stopped my pacing and rushed over to him.

"Is Dimitri okay?" I asked worriedly.

"He will make a full recovery," the doctor said and I sighed in relief. "The bullet missed major arteries and muscles but his other injuries have me worried."

  "How bad?" I asked.

"His jaw is bruised," the doctor explained as we entered Dimitri's. "He will have to wear a knee brace on his left knee because if the extensive damage was done to it and with physical therapy, there is a chance it will heal but he will have a limp. There is extensive scarring on his back which is consistent with someone repeatedly beating him hard enough to bite into the skin. Also his blood test show he is borderline diabetic, so we will have to keep an eye on his sugar level and if they drop any lower than what they currently are he will be put on insulin."

"Thank you, doctor," I said before entering Dimitri's hospital room and sitting in the chair that was beside the bed and ran my fingers through his hair.

"Bailey," someone said and I looked up to see Deke standing in the doorway holding a bag. "I brought you some clean clothes."

"Thanks," I said softly standing up and taking the bag before going into the small bathroom and showering using the small toiletries kit that was in the bag that Deke brought.

"Did you get checked out?" Deke asked when I came out of the bathroom.

"Yes," I sighed. "Badly bruised ribs and the cut on my side had a slight infection but they already gave me some antibiotics for it, so I'm good to go."

"I'm sorry," he said and I looked at him confused. "I left you alone and that bastard got to you."

"He would have found a way to get me," I said wrapping my arms around his shoulders and hugging him before pulling back and lightly punching his bicep. "Besides I knew you would come save me."

"Bailey," a new voice said and I turned around before squealing when I saw what Uncle Colt was holding.

"My baby," I smiled holding her close to my chest swaying slightly as I breathed in her scent of green apples.

"Mama," Zita cried and I giggled nuzzling her cheek.

"Mama missed you my little wolf cub," I said.

"Bails," Deke said and I looked up. "I have to go answer some questions for my boss, will you be okay here by yourself?"

"I'll be fine," I nodded. "I'm just going to sit in that chair and play with Zita while we wait for Dimitri to wake up."

"Tanker will be just down the hallway so if you need anything just yell," Uncle Colt said.

"I will," I smiled watching them walk out the door before I sat down in the chair Deke had vacated before making silly faces at Zita causing her to squeal with laughter.

About an hour later I heard a groan coming from the bed and quickly got off the hospital bed that I was sitting on with Zita and leaning over Dimitri as he whimpered before blinking his eyes open.

"Dimitri," I said softly and he gasped trying to sit up but I placed my hands on his shoulders pushing him back down. "Take it easy, you're in the hospital."

  "G-gun," he said panicked. "H-he h-had a-a g-gun..."

"Deke stopped him," I said and Dimitri nodded calming down and I helped him sit up and get a drink of water. "Do you want to meet my daughter?"

"She's here?" he asked and I nodded turning around and picking Zita up before setting her on Dimitri's bed.

"Dimitri, this is Zita," I smiled.

"She's cute," he laughed. "How old is she?"

"Four months," I said. "I call her my little wolf cub."

"Like your last name?" he asked smiling a Zita scooted up the blanket and settling comfortably in his lap.

"Yes," I smiled grabbing my phone from my pocket and snapping a picture of them.

"She looks like you," Dimitri said.

"I know," I smiled standing up. "I'm going to get a nurse and tell them your awake."

"Okay," he hummed tickling Zita causing her to giggle. Shaking my head I walked out of the room and looked around for Tanker but didn't see him, confused I shrugged thinking he went for coffee as I walked towards the nurses station but as I got to the end of the hallway I froze when I saw a familiar man standing by the nurses station and the nurse pointing in my direction. Cursing I hurried back down the hallway and I pulled my phone out called Deke praying he would pick up.
