"SHIT!" I heard someone yell before a big crash sounded.

"David, is everything alright?" I asked walking to the front room, staring wide eyed at him I laughed when I saw he was covered in neon green paint.

"Quit laughing," he grumbled wiping his face.

"Go clean up," I giggled pointing to the back. "I'll dry up the paint and then we need to go check on the children's center at the web hospital."

"Got it boss," he laughed heading to the back as I started to roll up the drop sheet. "I'm ready."

"Let's go," I smiled pulling my keys out of my pocket. "I'm riding with you."

"So can we take my bike?" He asked giving me a pleading look, "I haven't gotten to drive her yet."

"Didn't you ride it to work?" I grumbled following him out of the office.

"Yeah, but I live five minutes from here."

"Fine," I huffed grabbing the helmet he was holding out. "No crazy tricks or getting on one wheel."

"I only do those in the arena," David laughed as I got on behind him. "Hold on tight."

"Where else would I hold on too," I stated wrapping my arms  around his waist tightly as he sped down the road.

"Ms. Rose," one of the nurses said. "We just wanted to thank you for doing this."

"Your welcome," I smiled. "I was wonder if I could speak with Dr. Wilson. I need to go over some of the plans with him."

"He's in his office," she said. "Just head down that hallway and it the sixth door to the left."

"Okay," I nodded looking up at David. "Can you go check out the remodeling while I speak with him. I should only be a few minutes."

"Sure," he said before turning and heading in the direction that the nurse pointed.

"I can come by when I get off," Dr. Wilson said into the phone no noticing me. "If the pain gets any worse then come the hospital...Trigger, you where hit you should have already come to the hospital...Oh, Trigger I have to go just don't lifting until I look at them."

"Bad timing?" I asked playfully.

"Never," he smiled. "Come here and give me a hug."

"Uncle," I mumbled into his chest. "What happened to the guy you where talking to on the phone?"

"Don't worry about it," he sighed. "What are you doing here? I thought you where working on your office."

"I was," I giggled. "David poured the paint all over him so I figured it be a good time to take a break and come see the progress here."

"Its going very well," Uncle smiled. "The kids are going to love the new playroom. You are a brilliant at creating these things just like your mother was."

"I remember," I said as we headed down the hallway. "She used to get you and dad to paint ceilings and hang the lift fixtures for her."

"That was always funny," I laughed. "Daddy would always tease mama saying that she only married him for his height."

"Oh I remember that," He smiled. "You know I never thought that they would have fallen for each other."

"Why not?"

"Your mother was sweet, caring and loved creating things for people who didn't have anything," he smiled. "Your father, he was a MMA fighter, enjoyed pain and never was a fan of art, but when they were together it was an explosion of so many things."

"I miss them," I said looking down at the ground. "I wish they were still here."

"I know you do," Uncle sighed pulling me into a hug. "I wish they were here too. I'm just glad that they gave you to me, that way you didn't end up in the system."

"The only good thing that happened afterwards," I mumbled.

"Lily are you..."

"No," I said looking up at him. "I'm not and I won't no matter how much I want too."

"Promise?"

"Promise," I smiled. "Now let's see what's been done already."
---

"David, just wait until Monday." I growled into the phone as I unlocked my door, "I need to get more paint in the morning anyways so just go have fun. I'll call if I need your help with anything."

"I can be there in the morning," he said.

"Actually," I said when I read the note that I got off the front door. "The furniture for the daycare is ready, could you go pick that up tomorrow. I want to get that job done as soon as possible."

"I can do that," David said. "I don't have anything planned this weekend anyways. See you Monday."

"David's an idiot," I giggled staring down at my babies. "Well, who wants some supper? After you go outside pretty girl."

Picking Cookie up I headed to the back yard so he could potty, smiling when Prince laid down in my lap.

"It's going to be a long weekend," I sighed laying back on the grass staring up at the stars. "I just hope it goes well."
