It's been exactly 1 year to this date since I uploaded the first chapter of "Better Than You" — my first Wattpad book & my baby.

My friend told me "I have an idea for a Wattpad book but I think you'll hate it" as we were sitting on the gym floor at one of our last volleyball tournaments we'd ever play together. So I told her to just tell me her idea & we'd see what we could do. She said:

2 volleyball captains: the girl's team and the boy's team. They hate each other. And then they fall in love.

I said "we can work with this." And then we did.

And then we fucking did.

I wrote this because I love to write and I do it all the time and my friend said there weren't enough interesting books for her to read on this app. I expected her to be my only reader but then... ALLLLL of you came. And jesus fucking christ, THANK YOU. Thank you so much.

It's been my dream to write and I've always dreamt of writing something on Wattpad that people will enjoy and comment on and vote for and be inspired by. And I feel like maybe, perhaps just a bit, I've accomplished just that.

I'll spare the rest of the emotions and leave you with a quote I can never seem to get off my mind from an author who has forever changed who I see myself to be:
