I began to get ready for my date with Anthony tonight, he told me not to wear anything too fancy since it's only our first date. So I just threw on a yellow hoodie with a pair of light washed ripped jeans and my white high top converses.

My hair was already straight from earlier, so all I did was touch up my makeup. I got a text from Anthony saying that he's on his way towards my side of the building.

So I turned all my stuff off. Reapplied my lipgloss , grabbed my purse and phone then headed out my room, locking the door behind me.

While I was walking down the hallway I saw Lani and Alexis walking my way, I'm assuming towards our room. I just shook my head at her of course of all people my roommate.

Keenan did gravitate towards Lani quickly so maybe this was apart of their plan from the jump. "Hey Ti" Lani smiled at me, Alexis and I just looked at each other. I then looked over at Lani "hey" I said and kept walking.

When I saw Anthony that emotion I felt towards Lani and Alexis disappeared "hey" he smiled "hi" I smiled back.

"It's crazy how you can pull off a hoodie, that color looks amazing on you" he said to me. "Thank you so much" I smiled and gave him a hug.

As we were walking out, Keenan was walking inside of the building. He looked up at Anthony and I. My eyes remained forward and he dapped up Anthony. "Ti..." he started. "No". I said and basically pulled Anthony out of the hall.

"You okay?" He asked me "I will be" I said to him. We started walking down the street looking for places to eat.

One thing I love about city life is how packed it is no matter what time of the night it is. I love hearing the cars drive by honking the horns, the people walking and chattering about how cold it is outside. Also those cussing each other out.

"So there's this pizza joint called Urban Dough , weird name I know but I read the reviews and every one of them has said it taste amazing so I thought we should be the judge of that. The top knotch food critics D.C. has to offer" he explained.

I couldn't help but giggle at the amount of thought and effort he put into his whole speech thing as we were arriving to Urban Dough.

"Well you definitely did pick the right partner in crime because I will give the most honest criticism I have to offer." I said back to him.

Anthony opened the door for me and once we walked in we were sat down immediately by a bright smiling hostess.

"Alright so I'm gonna start you guys off with telling you all my name which is Delilah and I will be your waitress for tonight may I start y'all off with our pineapple slushee?" She asked us

I looked at Anthony and we both agreed to trying it "alright I will put that in for you guys right away I'll be right back" she smiled and then left our table.

"She's so happy I love it" I said "yeah. I love when people are just happy about life yah know?" He said, I nodded my head "are we about to get fake deep right now?" I asked him, he laughed "no".

Delilah was back in no time with our pineapple filled slushees. "And May we take a picture of you guys with the drink? It's our new thing so we've been trying to promote it drastically" she asked.

"Of course" I grabbed my pineapple and got ready for the picture. "Say cheese" she said and then took our picture.

She showed it to us "omg can you send me this so I can post it on my Instagram?" I asked "of course" she said and I then gave her my number so she could send it to me.

As soon as I got it, I posted it on my Instagram.

"My friends are already commenting" I showed Anthony and he laughed at what they said.

"So what can I get you guys?" Delilah asked

"I'll take the meat lovers pizza" I ordered "and I will take the supreme dish" Anthony ordered "oh and a order of fries" I added. Delilah wrote all of it down as we told her "alright got it, be back soon" she said and left again. 

"That is a really good picture of us" Anthony commented "I agree, we look good together"  I said.

"So how has your classes been?" He asked me "well since they're general ed, they haven't been too tough to me. English I've had a good amount of essays already but their simple prompts so I finished them in no time" I explained to him.

"That's good. I feel the same way honestly. The only class that's really been annoying is chemistry because she gives us homework every day that we have her class and expects it to be done next class, like they be huge science projects" Anthony spoke. "I can tell you're getting heated from just talking about it" I laughed.

Our pizza arrived and we started eating it right away. "Omigod this is good. Like the right amount of cheesy" I said after just two bites "yeah I thought those reviews were over exaggerating" Anthony said with a mouth full of his pizza.

His phone then started going off "it's my mom" he said and then answered it "hello? Hey ma" he answered, then started speaking in Spanish. I didn't know he was fluent in Spanish. Hm, learn something new everyday.

"Is there a chance we can take rain check?" He asked me "oh yeah sure, is everything okay?" I asked "my mom .. she talks so much and she's gonna talk my head off for the rest of the night and all my attention will be averted to her" he said. I couldn't help but laugh "well at least you're honest, let's get boxes and start heading back" I said to him.

We asked Delilah for boxes and once we got them we packed up and started heading back to our school. He gave me a hug once we got back to the hall "I had a great time tonight and I can't wait for more to come" he said "same here" I said to him and then we went our separate ways.

I walked away with a smile on my face. As I was making my way to my room I was happy the entire time, I like his energy and the way we vibe is so natural.

As I was walking , I heard laughing and giggling coming my way. I looked ahead and I guess I should get use to running into them.

Keenan and Alexis. "Hey Lex, I'll catch up with you I wanna speak to Ti really quick" he said which caught me off guard "alright" she said kinda confused.

She kept walking and he didn't start talking until she disappeared around the corner.

We just stood there and looked at each other "did you stop me so you could just look at me?" I asked him "you talked to my mom?" He asked me. Oops.

"Yeah she told me she wanted to talk to me about something" I told him "and what was that?" He asked "none of your business" I shrugged my shoulders.

"What yo?" He wasn't prepared for that response. "I said what me and your mother talked about doesn't need to be repeated to you, if she wants you to know she'll tell you" I said and started walking away from him.

"Why you acting like that?" He asked me. I know he did not just ask me that. "Are you serious?" I asked him. "I know you not acting dumb with me Keenan you know I hate that" I said to him.

I feel like he's trying to be a dïck on purpose. "You still can't be mad over this whole Alexis thing" he said. I stayed silent "come on Ti, grow up and be happy for me" he said. I stayed silent once again.

"I'll talk to you later Keenan. You ruined our friendship that weeks ago you was so scared of losing but this week let it go so easily, you go back to your girlfriend" I said and walked away.

I need to find ways to not run into him every hour if me and him really aren't friends anymore. Seeing him isn't gonna do anything but remind me of this feeling of heartbreak that seems to run through my body all day.

I got back to my room and Lani was sitting on her bed doodling. I don't even rock with her the same "hey" she smiled "hey" I said back. I don't rock with her simply because of the fact that Alexis could tell her anything about me or say something and Lani would probably just let her. We haven't been roommates that long to the point where our bond is unbreakable and she'll just stand up for me.

"Are we good?" She asked "well you associate yourself with someone who basically does nothing but try to make my life a living hell. So sorry if I start to distance myself" I explained to her.

"Ti it's not even like that, I don't want to not like her based off of what you told me. That's not fair to her since she hadn't done anything to show me that she's not trustworthy or this evil person you make her out to be" she said.

She has every right to feel that way but that's not gonna make me change my mind "okay" was all I said to her. She huffed "so what? we not gonna talk?" She asked me. "I live with you, of course we're going to talk. I just probably won't be as open with you as I was planning to be. This is just how I am Lani. I been through too much with that girl for me to just be like okay and forgive her and become friends with her again" I feel like she's not getting what I'm saying.

I wouldn't just do this off of no petty beef. My whole high school career was filled with drama that was started by Alexis. That is not happening in college. I have the opportunity to remove myself and stay away, where as in high school we were all stuck.

I'm not getting stuck again. And if Keenan wants to leave he can go right ahead.

"I understand you Tiara I do, but I don't want that to come in between us" she said

I just stayed quiet "I don't know Lani , I just don't" I said and grabbed my things to get ready to shower.
