I hardly could contain my excitement or even eat my dinner, I was so happy that things were working out in my favour either way.

"Care to tell us about Savannah now?'' Mom probed.

I swallowed my price of chicken as I thought of what to say.

"Let's just say that Murry has a 'grand scheme' to repair or build a new empire.''

Both of my parents looked at me in confusion, forcing me to go into the story of how Peyton, Savannah and I became friends to not only get back at Charlotte but to also stop her father.

There was silence after my story, which I took as a sign to leave.

In my room now I tried to do some studying for finals, that around the corner and with this there was no way NYU could change their minds but my phone was buzzing too much to focus.

For one Peyton was glad she got into the California Institute of Technology to study Engineering Science, I'm so happy for her and just hope that we all can focus and avoid drama, by leaving our high school selves behind.

Just then the doorbell rang and I shoot to my feet to race down the stairs thinking that it was Savannah.

When I opened the door I froze.

"What are you doing here?" Dad was the one to speak, crossing his arms.

"To speak with your daughter, sir." Mason replied, his hand twitch and I knew he was fighting off a salute, trying not to be his usual silly self.

"Dad." I began, gaving him a pleading look.

"I don't want him in this house, I know the type of kid he is and..."

"Darling I'm sure he just wants to talk." Mom came to the rescue.

She winked at us and together, ''just don't do anything foolish or anything to upset your father.''

Mason followed me up to my room, the moment we stepped inside, Mason's lips were on mine. Unlike with Romaine, I didn't fight him off I accepted it. I kissed him back and feel my body tingling, his lips were soft and cool and he tasted like mint.

I managed to pull away, "Mason?" Was the only thing I got before we start kissing again.

I didn't know how but we fell on the bed, causing me to squealed out, I could feel Mason laughing against my lips, then we continued kissing.

Somehow he found my neck, I gasped at the sensation and pushed Mason away.

"Sorry." Mason kissed me one last time.

"What do you want Reid?" I was breathless.

He smiled at me but looked away.

I could tell he was nervous but trying to play it cool.

"Well?"

"Well, you said you love me and kissed me," he smiled.

"Well, I did shout it out after I went a bit crazy and start breaking your car, the night of Brain's party.''

"Wait, you were the one who did that to my car, I have to be walking to school. Dad refused to buy me a new one and said that my attention-seeking days are over."

"I'm sorry, I was just pissed. I mean, you held onto me and let Charlotte beat the shit out of me. Plus you were always defending her." I couldn't help it and punched him in the side.

"I'm truly sorry about that, they had me wearing wires to make sure I wasn't saying anything to anyone, also to make sure I was being a guard dog with her."

"Why did you say you love me, I mean wouldn't they have heard?''

"Because I do and I didn't care if they heard. But like I said, you are too good for me and I don't want to hurt you, I have always liked you. I realized that ever since the seventh grade but you were always so focused on school despite all that happened, while I was doing me. I guess I used all those girls as a substitute."

"I should have told you sooner but I kept denying my feelings, I kept telling myself that it's because we are best friends." I threw myself back on the bed.

"Well, I wasn't trying to hide mine, not that much anyway. I took you to all those places to make you happy, I love hearing you laugh and seeing you smile." Mason lay beside me.

"I just played those girls and look where it got me, you should have seen mom's reaction. She threw a frying pot at me, yelling at me for being an idiot, she even pushed me out of the house and said not to come back until we made up. Mom really likes you, Charlotte, on the other hand, she thinks she's lying."

I punched him in the arm, "she is lying you dumb ass."

I told him everything, there was a moment of silence with Mason just laying there, I glanced over at him and he was just staring at the ceiling.

"So what are you gonna do Forbes?"

"You'll see."

Mason brushed the hair from my cheek, he threw his arm around me, pulling me close.

"Forbes."

"Reid."

"Your father is going to kill me." He kissed my lips softly.

"Why?"

He didn't reply, he only kissed me again.

"Go to sleep Forbes."

As if on cue my eyes felt heavy.

"Night Reid."

For the first time in a long time, I had pleasant dreams. I didn't wake from my sleep like I normally do.

Until I was rudely awoken from my sleep

"Wake up!" I jumped up from the loud sound, my head spun for a while, trying to settle my dizziness.

I looked around to see Mason hovering above me, he was already dressed for school.

I glanced at the time and groaned.

"Couldn't we wake me up?''

"I did but you sleep like a log, now come on Forbes or we'll be late.''

"Wait, you're going to school?''

"I'm trying to make a change.''

I said nothing as I hurried to get ready.

We walked into school hand in hand, everyone turned to look but I didn't care, neither did Mason, we had a pair of sunglasses on and ignored the whispers.
