I grabbed my phone and bag and walked downstairs. Dan, Evie and Luke were sat talking but turned their heads when they heard me approach.

“I’m off to see Jayden” I say smiling to them. I’d know what to do once I saw him…but I think deep down…I already know who I was going to choose.

“Ahh err okay ” Dan smiled slightly before turning back around.

“You coming back later?”Evie asked me

“Yea why?”

“Just wondering ” she smiled

“See you in a bit then” Luke smiled and I walked to the door. I caught Luke’s eye again and he nodded slightly towards Dan.

I shrugged at him before walking out the door and down the road to Jayden’s.

One kiss? What had I done?

As I got to the doors so did Jayden. He opened it and I went to hug him but he shrugged me off walking off towards his flat. I was a bit taken aback by his action. 

What had happened?

We got to his room and I sat on his bed, and I ushered him to sit down next to me.

“What’s happened?” I ask him but he doesn’t reply.

“Is it true?” he asks me

“Is what true?”

“Are you still seeing that lad?”

“I was but now it’s over. I told you that”

“Apparently you are still seeing him?”

“‘What? Who told you that?”

“I don’t know, but is it true?”

What the hell was happening? How did he know I was still seeing Dan?

*Dan POV*

“So am I right? It is Liv who you broke up with Amy for?” Luke asked me again.

“Yes, but she’s back with Jayden” I sigh

“I dunno ” Evie says placing her hand on mine making me look at her

“What do you mean?”

“She didnt sound too confident when I spoke to her before.”

“I just don’t want him to hurt her”

“He won’t, I’ve had a feeling she’s gonna end it with him” Luke says to me 

“What makes you think that?” I ask, hoping it was true.

“Just something I said to her

“I can’t believe you’ve been seeing each other all this time and we didn’t have a clue” Evie laughs and I smile.

“Yea, well we didnt want anyone to know. It was just friends with benefits, we kinda slept together one night then carried it on. But now it’s all fucked up” I sigh laying my head back onto the sofa.

“The night I heard her shagging that lad”

“Yea” I laughed, “Dan...not Sam”

“Ooo she was cheeky there” Evie laughed

“So you have no idea...not even with the twin sense thing you have?”

“I thought something was up as you guys kept arguing and you never argue but I didnt expect this”

“Hang on a sec...why’s it fucked up?” Luke asked me

“Because I’m in love with her”

“I knew it” Luke laughed jumping up off his seat

“How?”

“I could just tell, but she didn’t seem convinced when I told her”

“You told her I loved her?” I say to him

“Well kinda yea. But she just thinks you love her as a friend?”

“Yea well that’s something else I fucked up on. She asked me earlier more or less if I loved her and I just said yea but like a friend”

“Dan that was your chance. She would have ended it with Jayden for good if you had said yes. She was waiting for you to say something”

“Why would she?”

“Because she loves you to!” Evie smiled at me

“You think so? Really?” I beamed

“Yes. Wow. You two don’t half have your blinkers on when it comes to your relationship” Luke laughed at me

“Ahh I feel so stupid...I should have just told her. Instead...” I pause thinking of what I’ve done...she’s going to hate me.

“Instead what?” Evie asks me

“Instead of texting Jayden off my phone telling him she was still seeing me” I say hiding my face

“Shit Dan”

“Dan she’s going to be so upset with you”

“I know. But I want her to be with me not him”

“That’s not the right way to go about it though; she’s going to be angry that you went behind her back more than anything”

“I know but she’s mine not his”

*Liv POV*

“Yes it’s true, I’m so sorry. But...”

“No buts, we’re done. But…I’m sorry as well though”

“Okay” I sigh “Why what have you done?”

“I carried on seeing Katy as well” he laughed slightly.

I smiled at him and patted the bed next to me.

“I guess we are just attracted more to those people than to each other” I smile at him and he nods in agreement.

“But if I hadn’t of received that message, I would have tried so hard to make us work. I really like you Liv” he smiles holding my hand

“Yea I know. I’m sorry”

“Can we at least be friends?” he asks softly

“Course we can , I don’t want to lose you” I smile and hug him “When did you get the message anyway?”

“Yesterday just after I text you saying I can’t wait for you to be back”

“I didn’t get that till I woke up before” I say confused “Then right after getting the one about coming round here ASAP”

“Well someone text me” he says getting out his phone and showing me the message.

[You don’t need to know who I am. But I think you should know that Liv is still seeing that lad behind your back and it isn’t going to stop either. Sorry but I thought you should know.]

I glanced at the number and my heart stopped...how could he?

I said my goodbyes to Jayden and we promised to meet up soon and go for a drink as friends. I didnt want to lose him as that now that I’ve lost him as my potential boyfriend all because my best friend text him.

I was fuming, how could Dan go behind my back like that. I told him we were over and then asked him right out his feelings for me but it was just friends. 

What was he playing at? He had his chance.

I stormed into the house and slammed the door behind me. I saw him sat on the sofa looking sorry for himself but his head whipped round as I slammed the door.

“Hey ...” he began and stood up.

“Don’t  me Dan, how could you” I shouted at him as he slowly walked over to me.

“I’m so sorry”

‘What the hell, why would you do that? I told you we were over and was trying to get back with him. Why did you text him saying we weren’t over” I screamed at him, tears flowing down my cheeks

“BECAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU” he shouted at me as I backed up against the wall speechless, there it was...he had said it.
