*Dan’s POV*

“What the hell are you doing?” Liv shouted at me.

“Me? You’re the one creeping around down here like a bloody robber.”

“Well, I’m not robbing the place am I now.”

“No.” I laugh slightly. My heart beat calming down because it was only her but still at an unsteady pace because it’s HER.

“Dan you mind getting off me?” She smiled and I laughed slightly getting off her and helping her up.

“You gonna answer me then?” I ask putting the light on

“Erm...it doesn’t matter.” She replied walking over to the same draw as before.

“Where you going?” I ask grabbing her passport out of her hand.

“Give it me Dan”

“No. Where you going?”

“Give it me!” she shouted, trying to get it out of my hand.

“No. You can’t leave me.”

“I’m not. I just need to get away.” She replied her eyes filling with tears.

“Let me come with you?” I plead

“Please just let me just sort my head out.”

“I will...I am but where are you going?”

“I’m not too sure yet.”

“You just don’t want to tell me do you?”

“I don’t want you coming after me no.”

“I just want to know where you’re going to be...I need to know you’re safe.”

“I’ll be safe.”

“But you’ll be on your own.”

“I’m a big girl Dan.”

“Yea I know but...I...I need you to be here with me.”

“I’ll be back, I just need to sort my head out.”

“I don’t work without you Tink.” I whisper. My eyes falling down to my feet.

“I don’t work without you either Dan. This is why it’s so hard. But I just need time to think.”

“Just please come back to me”

“I will.” She smiles slightly, allowing me for a second to see her gorgeous smile that I’d missed so much.

I was about to lean in and give her a kiss but she leant in first, pressing her lips onto mine. She pulled away after placing a sweet kiss upon my lips. She replaced her lips with her finger.

“I’ll be back in a week.”

“A week?” I gasp and she nodded

“I need to sort my head out...figure things out.”

“Please let me come with you.”

“Don’t Dan...please...this is hard enough as it is, saying bye to you again. Never mind you pleading with me to come with me.”

I sighed and nodded. “I get why you have to go but I don’t want you to.” I begin rubbing my thumbs over her hands but she snatches them away.

“Who’s fault is it I need to go in the first place Dan?”

“I said I was sorry Tink...what more can I say?”

“Nothing left to say.” She snapped again, grabbing her passport out my hand and heading for the front door.

“You’re leaving? What about my wedding?” Evie asked coming down the stairs and confronting her as I sat on the sofa watching them.

*Liv’s POV*

I paused at the door and turned to see Evie walking down the stairs in her onezi and fluffy slippers. Her long blonde hair up in a scruffy bun with bits Dangling down from where she’d been sleeping and her green eyes that were identical to mine, were now red and puffy.

“I said I needed to clear my head Evie.”

“But my wedding is in two weeks Liv. I need you there...you’re the only family I have left.” She mumbled

Just then Luke trudged down the stairs in his boxers, rubbing his eyes. “What’s this...why’s everyone up at seven in the morning?”

“Liv answer me?” Evie asked

I sighed and looked at her walking up to her. “Im only going for a week. I won’t miss your wedding.”

“But you last bridesmaid fitting is tomorrow.”

“Paige is the same size as me, get her to try it on. It’ll be fine Evie.”

“But....” she began

“But nothing Evie. I need to get away and sort my head out.”

“Please...” she cried taking hold of my hands

I removed my hands from hers quickly, “I need to go...”

“Don’t, please.” She begged

“I need to...because right now...when I look at you...all I can see is you fucking my boyfriend.”

“LIV!” Luke shouted

“What?”

“That was out of order.” Luke replied pulling Evie into a hug as she sobbed into his arms.

“Don’t start Luke. You’ve known about this for five years. Before you and Evie got together so it won’t bother you.”

“That’s not the point.”

“That’s exactly my point. This is hard for me, don’t you get that.” I say looking at Luke before looking over at Dan who was now trying to sooth my sister.

Jealously surged through my body. My sister and my boyfriend. I stood next to Luke and nudged him to look at them.

“What?” he snaps

“How does it feel?” I whisper

“How does what feel?” he asked looking at me

“Knowing your best friend had your girlfriend before you did?”

“STOP IT LIV....JUST STOP IT.” Evie snapped lifting her head from Dan’s shoulder “Just go if you’re going.”

“FINE.” I snap back at her. “But don’t expect me back anytime soon.”

“But you said...” Dan says looking devastated.

“Yea well I lied…funny that, it must run in the family” I say looking at Evie.

“You have to come back, you promised”

“Yea i know what I said. But looking at you two now...I don’t know if I can ever trust you’s again. All I can see is you two together. I can’t get that image out my head. You’ve literally broken my heart....both of you...all of you. The people I trust most in the whole world. You...Evie...Luke. You’ve all broken me.”

“Liv...” Luke sighed pulling me close to him

“Luke I can’t be here.” I say quietly looking up at him and he looks at me sympathetically.

“Just go.” Evie cried

“Fine by me, have a nice life.”

“So you’re not coming back?” Dan asked getting up from the sofa and walking over to me

“I’m not wanted. Who needs me when you can have her.”

“I don’t want Evie...I want you. I need you. You’re my girl...you’re my Tink.”

“Not anymore I’m not.” I reply looking deep into his eyes, that were now slowly dripping tears down his cheeks. I turned around and walked out the front door.

***

I called another taxi from the pavement, a couple of minutes later it arrived.

“Where to miss?” the driver asked as i took a seat

“Mayfair hotel please.”

“Sure.” He replied starting up the engine and pulling away. I took one last glance at my house before looking forward.

Not long later I pulled up outside the hotel. I paid him the fare before walking into the hotel reception.

“Good morning, how many I help you?” a happy concierge girl smiles

“Hey, can I book a room for a couple of days please.”

“Sure, how long for miss?”

“Three days please.”

“Okay that’s fine. How are you going to be paying?”

“Credit card.” I reply handing over my card to her

“Okay you are in room 806. You’ve got a great view of London.” She smiled handing me my key “Your room is ready for you.”

“Thank you.” I smile slightly at her before heading over to the lift.

Up on the eight floor, I found my door, swiped my card before going inside and dumping my suitcase on the floor. I grabbed my handbag and swipe key before walking back out. I made sure that the door was locked before making my way outside. I searched for the nearest off-licence, and then bought a couple of bottles of wine. I went back up to my room putting the do not disturb sign on my door.

I stripped down to my underwear before searching my suitcase for something to sleep in, and then walked into the bathroom. I turned on the tap for the bath, letting it full up with hot water, adding some bubble bath.

I wrapped one of the hotels big fluffy dressing gowns around me, bringing it up to my face closing my eyes. I felt so nice against my skin. I searched my room for a glass, before filling it right up with rose wine. It may only be early but I needed it to take the edge off.

Once my bath was ready I stripped off and slid in. I lay my head back against the tub, closing my eyes. Relaxing. Enjoying the silence. I grabbed my glass of wine off the side, having a large gulp before resting my arm against the side of the bath.

I eventually got out as the water wasn’t hot anymore and I’d already drunk the first bottle of wine. I was feeling a little bit tipsy as the heat of the bath had caused the wine to go straight to my head.

I dried and moisturised myself before slipping on some clean knickers and one of Dan’s old t-shirts. I quickly dried my hair before shoving it up. I closed the curtains to my room causing it to go dark. I think it was only about one in the afternoon, I wasn’t too sure. I couldn’t be bothered checking the time if I was honest.

I turned on the TV putting a movie on, snuggling under my quilt with another bottle of wine.

I put on The Notebook. I needed a comfort movie, I knew it would make me cry but I knew what the outcome was going to be. There wasn’t going to be any surprises. I couldn’t handle anymore, as pathetic as that sounds.

I could smell Dan all over me. I guess using one of his tops as nightwear when i’m trying to sort my head out isn’t the best idea. Just made me miss him. I wanted to be mad at him but I couldn’t...I loved him too much.

By the time the movie was coming to an end I had finished my second bottle of wine and I was sobbing into my pillow.

My heart aching.
