Amari

Angel has been showing us around London all day long. He and Hunter have become really good friends really fast. Right now we were in the mall looking around waiting for our movie to start.

"Hunter, look at these sweaters." Angel said holding one up.

"Do they have it in blue?" Hunter asked walking over to Angel and the rack of sweaters.

I walked over to Tyler who was looking at sweatpants. We were in a store that sold mostly guy clothes so I was kind of drifting.

"Who wears orange sweats?" Tyler scoffed showing me.

"I would." I laughed. "They're cute."

"Only to you." He laughed putting them back.

"Angel and Hunter are getting close, huh?" I asked looking over to them as they laughed.

"Hunter's good at making friends." Tyler shrugged looking at them.

"I suppose." I shrugged looking away. "Angel's really nice for showing us around and putting up with us."

"I don't know. Something's off about him to me." Tyler shook his head. "I don't know."

Angel

Hunter was funny. I mean, I couldn't stop smiling whenever I was around him anyway, but he was actually funny.

"What're your plans for Tomorrow?" I asked.

"I don't know. Why?" Hunter asked looking at a shirt.

"Well, Tomorrow is New Years." I said nervously.

Get a grip!

"Are you guys not planning to attend any parties or anything?" I asked.

"Not really." Hunter shrugged. "Probably go to some local event or something."

"You should come to my New Years party!" I said. "I mean, You, Amari, and Tyler of course. Not just you because that would be weird. Not weird in a bad way, but weird in a good way. Can things be weird in a good way? I don't..."

"You talk a lot." Hunter laughed. "I'll see if they want to come, but it'll have to be after we celebrate with our family."

"Of course!" I nodded. "I definitely get it."

"Guys, we're going to head back to the theater." Amari said walking over to us.

"We're coming." Hunter nodded and walked away with her while I followed behind him.

Why was I so flustered around him? He isn't even gay! I don't really have a chance with him.

"Amari, if you buy the drinks I'll buy a large pop corn and share with you." Tyler said.

"You have to also buy gummy bears." Amari said.

"Deal." Tyler shrugged pulling out his wallet and debit card.

"You can also buy my stuff if you'd like." Hunter said nudging his brother.

"Nope. Remember last night?" Tyler smiled sarcastically.

"You need to learn to move pass the past. Look into the future." Hunter said.

"Maybe next year." Tyler shrugged.

Hunter shoved his brother and pulled out his own wallet.

"You need to invest in some Eczema cream anyway." Hunter said and Tyler looked at him confused. "Right. You didn't think I knew about your back."

A look of realization washed across Amari's face and she quickly turned around. Tyler glanced at Amari and shook his head with a smirk.

"I was just about to order some as soon as we got home." Tyler nodded turning away.

Did Hunter really not know? It was obvious! I cleared my throat and stared down at my phone. It's not my place to ask or say anything.

Tyler

The movie was long and boring. How did we all let Amari rope us into seeing this movie? I have no idea. The whole time, Amari was shushing me as I tried to distract her from the movie. Hunter and Angel had already snuck out of the theater, but while they were here they had been whispering the entire time. I was tempted to leave and find them, but I didn't want to leave Amari by herself. When the movie was finally over, we left the theater to look for Angel and Hunter. We found them in the arcade area playing on the motorcycles.

"Angel, you suck at this." Hunter laughed.

"I hardly play these things." Angel laughed. "You probably play this all the time in America."

"Nope. I'm just good at it." Hunter shrugged as the game came to an end and announced him the winner.

"Come on. We're leaving!" I said and they looked over to me.

"Alright." Hunter said as he snatched up his jacket and walked over to us.

He threw his arm over Amari's shoulder and we began to leave. We made it to the train station and waited for the train to come then made it to the hotel. At the hotel, Angel said his goodbyes then got into his car and drove off. Apparently he doesn't like driving much because of tourist traffic, but we didn't mind taking the train. It was kind of fun.

"Oh, there you guys are!" Mom greeted us as we walked into the hotel lobby. "We ordered room service upstairs. Come join us for dinner."

"Why upstairs? We usually eat down here." Hunter said looking around.

"Well, your father and I have something very important to talk to you two about." She cleared her throat.

My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach. Were they really going to do this now? Away from home? In a hotel of all places? I looked over at Amari and she rubbed my back.

"I'm gonna go find my parents..." Amari mumbled.

She walked over to the elevators and headed upstairs.

"Mom..." I said.

"What is it?" Hunter asked.

"Mom." I repeated. "Not now. Not here."

"Tyler, we have to..." Mom sighed.

"In London?" I asked. "Right before New Years? Are you serious?"

"What's happening?" Hunter asked.

"This wasn't my idea." She shook her head on the verge of tears.

"Where is he?" I asked.

"It doesn't mat..." I cut her off.

"Where is he?" I asked angrily.

"Upstairs." Mom whispered and I stormed off to go see him.

Hunter

Tyler stormed off angrily. His fist were balled up and I knew that whoever he was searching for would want to disappear once he walked into the room.

"Where's Dad?" I asked. "What did you guys want to talk to us about?"

"Nothing baby." Mom smiled at me.

"Okay. Well, let's go upstairs. I'm dying of starvation." I said walking towards the elevators.

"Let's eat down here." Mom grabbed my arm.

"Why?" I asked. "You already ordered room service."

"It's..." Mom trailed off and when she didn't continue, I walked to the elevator and headed upstairs with Mom behind me.

I walked towards my parent's room and froze when I heard yelling.

"Why would you do this now?" Tyler yelled angrily. "Hunter doesn't even know!"

"Tyler, calm down." Dad spoke calmly. "It has to happen. Hunter will just have to get over it."

"Why would you wait until we were out of the entire country? Why not at the lodge?" Tyler asked. "Are you dumb?"

"Watch your mouth..." Tyler cut him off.

"Screw you! You're ruining so much!" He yelled.

I glanced back at Mom who was covering her mouth with tears in her eyes. I pushed into the room and they both froze looking back at me.

"I could hear you guys from the elevators." I faked a laugh. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Dad sighed rubbing his temple.

"Tell him." Tyler said. "This was your idea. You tell him."

"What happened to you wanting to wait until we're back home?" Dad asked annoyed.

Tyler and Dad had the same temper. When they got angry, you'd better leave before the room exploded. When they got angry at each other, Dad always held back. I was sure he could take Tyler, but Dad knew that if he started with Tyler, there would be no ending it. Tyler held grudges and played dirty. He could be cruel at times.

"Doesn't matter what I want." Tyler shrugged. "This is about you. It's always about you."

"Really? It's always about me, Tyler?" Dad asked standing up. "Why do you think we're here together now, Tyler? Why do you think we made it to the lodge? For you and your brother."

"For me?" Tyler scoffed. "I've known since I was 5!"

"Known what?" I asked. "Am I not apart of this family? Why are you guys keeping secrets? Mom?"

"Baby..." Mom shook her head and rubbed my arm.

I moved away from her.

"Tyler, what's going on?" I asked again.

I've asked this a hundred times!

"Dad's an asshole. That's what going on." Tyler rolled his eyes.

"I'm not going to tell you to stop talking like that again." Dad pointed at Tyler.

"What're you going to do? Put me up for adoption?" Tyler scoffed. "Too late for that, dumbass."

"Maya, get your damn son!" Dad yelled at Mom.

"Tyler stop." Mom said grabbing onto Tyler.

"Tell him to stop." Tyler mumbled.

Tyler would fight Dad to the death, but he never raised his voice or cursed at Mom. Mom meant everything to him and he always felt like he had to protect her from Dad. I never understood that.

"Tell me what's going on." I mumbled.

"Hunter, your Mother and I..." Mom cut him off.

"Can it wait?" Mom asked and Dad groaned.

"Why do you get to decide when it should be done?" Tyler spoke up. "You aren't going to be the one fixing everything afterwards!"

I stared blankly at them. What was this about? Why wasn't anyone hearing me? Listening to me?

"I'm leaving." I said, but they all continued to argue.

I rolled my eyes and left the room annoyed. I walked into our empty hotel room. Amari must've still been off with her parents. I sighed and pulled out my phone. I've only known him for a day and I hope I wasn't getting on his nerves. I hope he didn't mind me constantly bugging him. I hope he wasn't getting tired of me constantly wanting to talk to him or my lame attempt at making him laugh.

Huntsman:
Where are you right now?

Angel:
At home.
Why?

Huntsman:
Can you come over?
I need company who is actually going to listen to what I have to say.

Angel:
On my way!

I hope he wasn't getting tired of me.
