Amari

The day after Christmas we all went back home.

Jake had to go back to his Aunt's because she was still planning for when we'd go visit his mom.

Tyler and Hunter has originally come over here, but after our Parents surprised us with a trip to London for New Years, they rushed home to start their packing.

They had chosen France because the New York flights were fully booked, but they wanted to take us traveling for New Years regardless.

This meant that I not only had to unpack my bags from the Cabin and do laundry, I also had to repack a bag for London.

Stressful.

Four Days before New Years

We all sat tiredly in the airport waiting for our flight to board. Hunter and Tyler were play Call of Duty on their phones and quietly arguing with one another as I listened to my music. Our Parents had went off to buy snacks and gum for the flight.

"Okay. We have mint and sour patch kid flavored!" Dad waved the two packs of gum and I held my hands out as he tossed the mint pack to me.

"This isn't the one I want." I said holding the pack up.

"You're not getting this. You'll eat them all." He said popping a piece of gum in his mouth.

"Just one?" I asked and he handed me a piece as Hunter grabbed the mint gum from my hands.

"Mint is great." Hunter said. "Especially when you're tired and don't want to go back to sleep."

"Or when you're about to demolish your little brother in Call of Duty." Tyler laughed grabbing a piece of mint gum.

After Landing

Tiredly we all walked out of the airport and to the car Mr. Brooks had rented. Hunter was woozy due to the sleeping pills he had taken for the flight. He was afraid of planes, yet that didn't stop him from fighting me for the window seat and singing I'm Going Down by Mary J Blige.

"Come on..." I mumbled helping Hunter navigate through the airport.

"Shh..." He put a finger against my lips. "Don't talk so loud. Look at that!"

He looked at something behind us and suddenly he felt so much heavier.

"Come on. Pay attention before we..." I stopped talking when we bumped into something and Hunter and I both fell. "Get hurt." I finished my sentence.

"I'm sorry!" A strong British accent spoke up.

I opened my eyes and saw a guy starting to stand up. He helped me up before we both helped Hunter up who was sprawled out on the floor as if he had been seriously hurt.

"Your boyfriend is quite over dramatic." The stranger laughed when we finally got Hunter to his feet.

"He's not my boyfriend." I shook my head. "More of a brother."

"Well, your brother is quite over dramatic." He fixed his sentence.

"That he is." I laughed.

"I'm Angelo, but everyone calls me Angel." He held his hand out to me and I shook it.

Angel was gorgeous! He looked like he could model Calvin Klein and had about 7 girlfriends. This is the modern day equivalent to John Tucker.

"I'm Amari and this is Hunter." I introduced us.

"And I'm Tyler." Tyler interrupted our conversation and pulled my hand away from Angel's. "Who are you?"

"Angelo, but you can call me Angel." He held his hand out to Tyler who just stared at it.

"Angus." Tyler said. "I'll call you Angus although I doubt we'll ever see you again. Let's go."

Tyler placed his hand on my lower back and helped me navigate Hunter and myself out of the airport.

"You were being rude." I said once we made it outside.

"I know." He nodded. "It's bad enough I have to deal with Jake. Why would I let you add some British guy to the equation?"

"Because you want me to enjoy my vacation." I fluttered my eyelashes at him and he shook his head.

"No I don't. I want this vacation to make you miserable." Tyler smiled down at me and kissed my cheek.

We all got into the car and Mr. Brooks attempted to drive to the hotel without killing us. When we made it to the hotel, My Dad and Mr. Brooks helped the bellhop with our bags as the rest of us checked in. Hunter was slightly less crazy from his pills.

"I'm hungry." He groaned leaning back on me.

"Okay." I patted his stomach. "You have to wait though."

"Reservations under the name Rose." Mom spoke to the man at the counter.

"You have three rooms reserved?" He asked grabbing down three keys.

"Yes sir." Mom nodded and grabbed the keys from him.

He gave us directions on how to get to our rooms and we left. Mom and Dad would share a room, Mr. and Mrs. Brooks would share a room, and Hunter, Tyler, and I would share a room. We all grabbed our bags and went into our own rooms after agreeing to meet in the Dining Hall for dinner together.

"I call shower first." I said as Tyler opened the door.

"Tyler wasn't gonna fight you on that. He's kind of dirty." Hunter whispered to me.

"Did you shower this morning?" Tyler asked looking over to Hunter.

"For your information, I did." Hunter crosses his arms. "Why? You want to smell me?"

"I can smell you from over here." Tyler rolled his eyes.

"I don't stink. You must be smelling Amari." Hunter pointed at me. "I sat next to her on the plane and boy..."

I threw a pillow at Hunter and he threw it back.

After a while, we had all showered and ate dinner. Tyler, Hunter, and I were getting ready to head out and walk around because our parents were already gone.

"Where to first?" Tyler asked staring at a map he got out of the hotel.

"Anywhere with food." Hunter said looking at the map.

"You just ate." I slapped his arm.

"So? I'm a growing man. I need lots of food." He shrugged.

"Your burger was huge!" I laughed.

Hunter half his hand up at me and shook his head.

"Amari!" We heard someone call my name.

We all looked around and when I heard Tyler scoff, I knew it had to be Angel.

"Hey!" Angel said approaching us.

"Hi!" I smiled at him.

"How are you guys liking London so far?" He asked.

"I hate it and we haven't even seen it yet." Tyler mumbled.

"That's bad." Angel shook his head. "Allow me to show you around! I can take you mini golfing!"

"We'd love that!" I nodded and grabbed onto Tyler's arm.

"Am I missing something?" I heard Hunter whisper to Tyler. "Who's he?"

"Hunter, this is Angel." I introduced them. "You met him at the airport but was drugged up."

"Okay?" Hunter has a confused look on his face as Angel smiled at him.

"Shall we go now?" Angel asked and I nodded.

He walked with us to the train station and we waited for the train while Hunter and Tyler talked about the girls they saw.

"Hunter..." Angel spoke softly. "How is he?"

"What do you mean?" I asked looking over to Hunter then back to Angel.

"How old is he?" Angel asked.

"He's 15, but he'll be 16 in January." I said. "Why?"

"He's kind of... I don't know." Angel laughed shaking his head.

"Goofy? Immature?"

"Cute."

My eyes nearly popped out of my head and I froze allowing Angel's comment to repeat in my head.

"You like guys?" I asked looking over to Angel again.

"Yeah. It wasn't obvious?" He rubbed the back of his neck.

"No!" I shook my head. "Tyler was planning your murder because he thought you liked me."

Angel laughed and rubbed his arm.

"So about Hunter?" Angel asked.

"Oh!" I shook my head. "Hunter isn't gay. He likes girls. That's all he talks about."

"So I have no chance?" Angel asked staring down at the train tracks.

"Sorry." I shook my head. "But you're cute! Some other guy will come along."

A small dimple appeared in his cheek as he smiled softly to himself.

"And Hunter is a nice guy. He isn't nearly as annoying as we say he is." I laughed. "You could still be his friend."

"Right." Angel nodded.

Soon the train came and we all got on. Tyler sat beside me while Hunter and Angel sat across from us. Angel would sneak peaks at Hunter as Hunter and Tyler stared out the window laughing about whatever they had been talking about. When we made it to the golf place, Angel set everything up and we went to go play. Angel and Hunter teamed up while Tyler and I teamed up.

"Amari, you could get this with one good hit!" Tyler laughed as I readied myself.

"See? My teammate is from here and know the courses." Hunter smiled cockily. "Don't be shocked when we win."

"You're not winning." I shook my head and hit the ball only to have it get so close and roll over to the side. "This is rigged!"

"It has to be!" Tyler agreed with me.

"Move aside and let a real champion show you how it's done." Hunter pushed pass us.

We were all silent as we watched him prepare to hit the golf ball. When he finally hit it, the ball rolled right to the edge of the hole and sat there.

"Y'all were right. This is rigged!" Hunter said throwing his arms up in frustration.

"Don't be hurt when we beat you." Tyler mocked Hunter and walked over to our ball where he hit it directly into the hole.

"Hole in one!" I cheered.

"More like hole in 13." Hunter mumbled and Angel laughed. "Finally someone who appreciates my jokes."

Hunter threw his arm over Angel's shoulder and I could see Angel go weak. He had that same goofy look I got whenever Tyler's arm brushed against mine. The Brooks boys had a way about themselves that got anyone addicted to them in less than a hour of knowing them. They didn't know that, though.

"Stop drooling over him." Tyler nudged my back.

"Over who?" I asked.

"Angus."

"Who is Angus?" I shook my head.

"Alright. Play dumb." Tyler shook his head and walked away.

He's so over dramatic! If only he knew.
